“Sisters are for sharing laughter and wiping tears.” ~ Author Unknown. When Perry shows up on Grace’s doorstep, pregnant and penniless, Grace is shocked. In the past, she has always been there to bail Perry out of trouble. But this time is different. Grace is on the fast track to become a partner in her high-powered NYC law firm. The last thing she needs is her screw-up sister and a fatherless … infant to take care of. And when Perry disappears, leaving her six-week-old baby behind, Grace realizes what an impossible position Perry has placed her in. The only solution appears to be putting little Emily up for adoption. Or is it? Once again, Patricia Kay delivers the kind of wrenching, emotional, family oriented story she is known for. You will fall in love with the Campisi sisters and find yourself rooting for both Grace and Perry. And if you don’t have a sister of your own, you’ll wish you did.

Funny and witty
I related to the main character a lot. She tried to help her sister many times. The ending was a complete and total surprise
Very realistic. I wonder what I would do if I was unexpectedly given custody of a relative’s child.
Good read but kind of tied everything up at the end too quickly.
Predictable and I didn’t really want to hang out with the characters.
The characters were portrayed true to life.
Was a really feel good book. Had true compassion and love.
Fun!
Found this book very engaging from the very first page. Interesting take on parental rights and what makes a family.
It was an easy enjoyable read
I just did not enjoy this book not what I thought it would be. I did read all of it though. I would not recommend it to ant of my friends.
Too much foreshadow means no surprises, cute book but always knew what was going to happen re: major events, well before they happened.
I thought the book was good. A typical chick lit story but entertaining.
A book that lets you know how a baby can be life changing.
It took a big person to give up the baby she had grown to love and then to take in two older children that she was better able to handle
You never know what life will bring to your doorstep. Are you too busy to think about your future? Take a few hours and read this – it sure makes my family seem on the normal side compared to these characters who are struggling to makes sense of their lives.
Heart warming,heart wrenching family drama
A feel good book for when you don’t want to do any hard reading.
No spoiler but not my dream ending. Otherwise was well done.
Easy reading, great for a plane ride or vacation.
