“Sisters are for sharing laughter and wiping tears.” ~ Author Unknown. When Perry shows up on Grace’s doorstep, pregnant and penniless, Grace is shocked. In the past, she has always been there to bail Perry out of trouble. But this time is different. Grace is on the fast track to become a partner in her high-powered NYC law firm. The last thing she needs is her screw-up sister and a fatherless … infant to take care of. And when Perry disappears, leaving her six-week-old baby behind, Grace realizes what an impossible position Perry has placed her in. The only solution appears to be putting little Emily up for adoption. Or is it? Once again, Patricia Kay delivers the kind of wrenching, emotional, family oriented story she is known for. You will fall in love with the Campisi sisters and find yourself rooting for both Grace and Perry. And if you don’t have a sister of your own, you’ll wish you did.

This book grabbed my heart, first making my heart big and then breaking it. Grace and her sister Perry are the central characters, and they couldn’t be more different. Grace is a high powered attorney on the fast track to partnership in a New York firm. Perry is a screw-up who shows up nine months pregnant, not knowing who the father of the baby is, asking Grace for help. The book accurately portrays the struggles each woman goes through and that makes an engrossing and moving and heartbreaking story.
Had some unexpected twists that gave it an extra punch.

This book kept me interested all the way through! 🙂
While the plot was predictable, I enjoyed the book.
Excellent Read
I truly enjoyed reading this, all families are somewhat messed up and it was great how they all could come together and see the good not just the bad and ugly in each other.
I really enjoyed this book and it was an easy read. Helps me to get away from my stress for awhile.
I enjoyed this book. It was realistic in the story line- – A pregnant woman who could not keep her child and a sister who gives up everything to raise her niece. It definitely had some sad turns.
