I liked the characters and the story held your attention
Another entertaining story from one of my favorite writers!
The book was good. I had never heard of the profession depicted in the book and it was interesting. I do tire of female characters being reckless or making silly decisions – not sure how realistic that is, but it was good over all.
A WOW story from start to end! Especially with wild fires ‘in the news’ these days!! But warning: you really need to read the whole series!!
Very good
Really good character development. Enjoyed it.
A thoroughly entertaining read about life as a smoke jumper. I enjoyed reading about the camaraderie and training. The pent up emotions of the lead couple spans 15 years and they finally get to grips with understanding and respecting each other.
Heading off to find book 2!
Another page turner. Plus, it was very informative about fire fighting in the forrest. A really good read.
Jumping from an airplane to fight a fire! No thanks! But the main characters in this book love doing just that! Jed commands the smokejumpers and is a calm, strong leader until Blazin’ Kate Burns takes risks to do her job! I admired Jed for being a great leader and learned lots about smokejumpers. Kate was an good character but I hated it when she took risks! Both Jed and Kate had circumstances in their childhoods when they were abandoned by those they loved. They have to learn to trust God rather than themselves. I recommend Where There’s Smoke to people who love the Montana mountains and contemporary romance! I received my e-book from the author. This is my honest opinion.
I enjoyed this book, especially the capturing of the deep commitment and comraderi of the firefighting community. As a former wild land firefighter, I found the scenarios a bit over the top.
Wow! This book is HOT, literally: Dashing protective, fire-fighting hero, fiesty, courageous, smoke-jumping heroine, beautiful but dry pine forests, smoking hot action with a bit of intrigue, and sizzling, but clean, romance! This is the second book I’ve read in this series and all I want to do is binge. Well done Susan May Warren!
Really good enjoyable read.
Good read about the world of smoke jumpers. I like books that, in addition to the storyline, also teach about an aspect of life I’m not familiar with. Believable characters struggling with recognizable issues.
