Where There’s Hope (A Well Paired Novel)
By: Marianne Rice
5 out of 5 stars
The story Where There’s Hope (A Well Paired Novel) by Marianne Rice is a contemporary romance book. It is a wonderful love story that I didn’t want to put down until I had read the last page. The story is about learning to trust again and second chances. It is the story of Hope Windward and Cameron Smithfield. Hope is a respected businesswoman in the town of Crystal Cove. She is smart and is doing a wonderful job in raising her daughter. She is not one that likes depending on others for support. She also doesn’t like when she finds Cameron Smithfield is now living in Crystal Cove. He is the reason that her daughter doesn’t have a father. While the anger she has for him is clear, she also begins to have other feelings that have everything to do with how handsome and charming she finds him. Cameron has spent a very long time in prison and once out is determined to make amends and help out his niece. His life was forever changed by his brother’s death and he has guilt over actions that he took in the past. These two soon find themselves drawn to each other. Will Hope give Cameron a chance to help out his niece? Is there any chance that these two would be able to overcome what has happened in the past and find a happy future together? My emotions were going up and down like a rollercoaster when reading this book. I fell in love with Hope and Cameron and wanted them to find a happy ending. I loved the small town feeling you get when reading about those who live in Crystal Cove. The interactions between some of the characters brought a smile to my face and others that warmed my heart. This is the first book I have read by the author and it will not be the last. She has created a wonderful story with amazing characters. I look forward to reading more of her books.
This is my first book by this author and I enjoyed it until the end. This book is about second chances and forgiveness. The characters in this book took me on a roller coaster ride along with twists and turns that I didn’t see coming. The characters are connectable and lovable. I enjoyed the secondary characters and hope to see them with their own books. This story is engaging and pulled me in right from the beginning. I highly suggest this book, sometimes things are not how they appear.
Such a great read!!!
They’re story isn’t clear cut. It has jagged edges and isn’t pretty. When he shows up and spills his secrets they aren’t accepted easily but once they are. . . well that’s what you need to read and find out for yourself. Between a dysfunctional family and his bad choices life hasn’t been easy, it doesn’t help that his family has no love what so ever for him. I love this author and love the way she does business, that being her stories. This one has some suspense, and some dirty deeds, and moments you just hold your breath and. . . wait for it. Hope has no clue what Cameron is doing in her town but that’s about to change. This two have plenty of work ahead of them between the past, the present and what could be their future. But with all of her characters it isn’t a walk in the park and that’s what makes her reads special. It’s a great read and like fine wine complimenting a meal, these two are well paired.
Where there’s Hope by Marianne Rice was everything you never knew you’d need. It wasn’t until after I read the book that I saw that it was book two in the Well Paired series of Marianne’s. The good thing is that it is a standalone and was easy to read without reading the first. Let me say I loved Cameron’s character. Not every persons story is easy but second chances exist and some people deserve them. While he was in the wrong, he was also falsely accused about a lot as well. Hope lost everything just before she even got it. Will Cameron be the answer to her prayers? Or will he be the worst possible thing in her life? I loved reading about their situation and how everything played out. I was trying to force myself to slow down while reading as I didn’t want it to end. I would love to read more about the characters in this small town! I think there are a few more stories to tell.
This book is part of a series but I haven’t read the prior book, and had no trouble reading it. This is light feel-good summer type read. Very vivid detailing, and well fleshed out characters. So if your looking for a light beach read-this is it!

Where There’s Hope by Marianne Rice
Five Stars
Where There’s Hope (A Well Paired Novel is is a contemporary romance by Mariann Rice. This is the first book I have read by Ms. Rice, but is just the first of many. I really enjoyed this book, I couldn’t put it down until I read the last page. The characters are lovable and relatable. The twists and turns left me emotionally drained. It’s a story of second chances and building trust. Cameron and Hope have just the right amount of chemistry and they are each strong in their own ways. I love how the secondary characters have such intricate parts in both Hope and Cameron’s life. I highly recommend this book and look forward to reading more from Ms. Rice in the future.
Great book! I the story of Cameron and Hope was a one to remember. This book had, love, loss, hope, sadness, longing, lust, and more. There were some twists and turns to keep you on your toes and to make the story more interesting. This is book two in a series and while I didn’t read the first one and it was fine. I would suggest to go in order. This is my first book with Rice and it won’t be my last!
Where There’s Hope (A Well Paired Novel) by Marianne Rice is a five star novel. This is a story about hope, love, forgiveness in the face of tragedy, and moving on. This novel will take you on a trip where you feel the emotions the characters feel and will not let you put the book down. Hope has been doing a great job raising her daughter as a single mom. Even though it was not her choice, she has put her best effort into it. When she finds Cameron has found her in her hometown, she doesn’t want to hear his side of the story. He killed the father of her child and she thinks some things can never be forgiven. After seeing Cameron around town and hearing about his new behavior, she still isn’t sure what she can believe. Can she forgive him for his actions? What are all these feelings she is starting to have towards him? How could she feel this way after what he did?
What a beautifully written story. This book will capture you on its first page and not let go until you finish the tale. Beautiful town and characters. Relatable and raw and messy and real. Just an excellent yet emotional rollercoaster that you won’t be able to put down. Two thumbs up.
WHERE THERE’S HOPE is right up my alley. It’s a small town romance full of quirky characters, charming backdrops, tight knit families, and of course the ever present book club. This is also the story of trying to work out all sides to a story to find the truth (there is usually more than just two sides).
This is one of those stories that was so obvious from the very beginning that I just laughed at the MC that she couldn’t figure out what was going on. Well this wonderfully crafted tale had me fooled. Turns out that perhaps I read too many mystery novels and may have jumped to conclusions (shocking, I know). Seriously though, the story held my interest from the very beginning to the very end.
This is one of those stories that I couldn’t tell if characters had been previously written about or if they were being introduced for future stories. Some of the secondary characters have (what seem to be) solid, complete lives, while others still have secrets they have yet to tell (I’m looking at YOU Lily).
I look forward to reading many more stories set in Crystal Cove.
Where There’s Hope (A Well Paired Novel #2) by Marianne Rice. This book has heavy flow to it. It definitely makes you feel like you’re right there going through everything with our characters as they go through it. This story is about learning how to forgive, and discovering that there is always more than one side to every story and when it comes to grieving there are steps and layers to the process. I really liked how the story looked at both characters sides and both of their separate and combined journeys and not just staying focused on one over the other. This was a great story I’ll be on the lookout for more by the author!
Where There’s hope by Marianne Rice is about love, anger, hopeless, lost, and forgiveness. Marianne Rice has an amazing storyteller. She has a great attention to detail. Her characters are well developed and you can relate to them easily. As you get into the story there are twists and turns. I found that I read the whole story and wanting more. There is a family who needs healing. One brother Cameron spent 10 years in prison for killing his brother who has a wife and daughter. Hope Windward who is the widow of Cameron’s brother and his daughter and she is not sure if she wants Cameron in their lives. There is a great deal of pain that needs to get worked out. Will Hope be able to let Cameron in their lives or will she leave him?
Where There’s Hope by Marianne Rice is book two In the A Well Paired Novel series. I never read book one but never felt lost or confused. Overall I enjoyed the writing and characters. I felt like the story was raw and real and that I was experiencing it with them. The hurt, the love, the forgiveness, and pain was riveting and kept me engaged. I enjoyed this book very much. 4 star rating.
Marianne Rice’s Where There’s Hope is the second novel in the A Well Paired series. This contemporary romance is an emotionally raw story from beginning to end. The story and characters made this an enriching tale; sweet, touching, hard at times and beyond words. The author did an excellent job telling this story with characters leading a story that was not easy to partake. The way the sequences were laid out were done remarkably well making this story feel complete by the time you’ve crested the final pages. This is certainly a story that will touch your soul in one way or another, and is one of those books you will want to read again.
5 Stars
Where There’s Hope is the second book in the Well Paired Series by Marianne Rice. This is a contemporary romance- about second chances, forgiveness, redemption, responsibility, and finding love. This is my first book by Ms. Rice, but it certainly won’t be my last. This book can be read as a standalone, which is what I did, but I will definitely be going back to read the first book now, too.
Hope Windward has managed to make a comfortable life for herself and her daughter. She is a strong, independent single parent who has done a wonderful job raising her daughter on her own after tragedy struck. Now the man responsible for upending their lives is back in town, which makes her angry- she’s not happy to have him there.
Cameron Smithfield has spent 10 years in prison paying for what he did. Now he wants to atone for what happened by becoming the best uncle he can for his niece. He holds a lot of pain and grief over the event that shattered so many lives. He hopes that he will get a chance to prove himself. But what happens when feelings develop? Will she ever be able to forgive him for what happened? Will she admit her own feelings? When the time comes, and doubts arise, will she trust in him?
This is a very enjoyable, steamy story that I am happy to recommend as a great feelgood story with a few surprises.
I am looking forward to reading more of Ms. Rice’s work.
Thank you, Ms. Rice!

Be prepared to be taken on an emotional roller coaster ride with lots of twists and turns. This is the story of Hope and Cameron, who both have secrets. They need to find out the truth. They both need the truth to find the happiness that is deserved.

Where There’s Hope (A Well Paired Novel #2)

This was such beautifully written story. The first that I have written from this author and it will definitely not be the last. It didn’t take me long to be completely captivated by Hope and Cameron’s story. I really felt for both characters, especially Hope. I really felt like I was on this journey with the two characters. I wanted to dislike Cameron but there was just something about him that made me sympathetic to his plight of asking for forgiveness from Hope. I cannot imagine how she felt and I really admired her strength of character. I also really liked some of the secondary characters in the story too.
I loved how the author wrote this story, it felt so real and I thought that the characters were likeable and relatable. The storyline was strong, the characters well developed and it had a great pace and flow to it. Although this is the second book in the series it can be read as a standalone which is how I read it.
Overall a really good story that I highly recommend!
WOW! I don’t think I can put into words how much I LOVED this book! I’ve never read anything like it and it was beautifully written!
Hope and Cameron meet years after a tragic accident that changed their lives. She’s not happy, which is understandable. Cameron did the time and now he wants to make it up to her and be able to move on with his life. She is bound and determined to not let him but feelings start to get into the way of things. His feelings are pretty obvious but she tries her hardest to keep that locked up but she can’t.
This is a story of twists and turns, love and loss, and forgiveness. It was a beautiful rollercoaster ride of emotions that I didn’t want to end! This is a definite one-click author for me now!
