Ethan is knows as I Am The Wind or Meko. He travels the decades that divide the present with those of the Cheyenne from the past. He takes his duties seriously and puts his people first.
Francesca and her brother Marshall moved with their family to Colorado for the gold rush. She and her brother were taken captive by the Cheyenne dog soldiers. She wanted to dislike Meko but there is a strong connection between them.
Through the love hate relationship Meko and Cesca go through a lot together which makes this story so remarkable. The choices they both make are hard and you feel for both of them. The story will make you weep it is so moving. The author did her job in research and it shows. The reader will be flipping the pages to see what happens next.
A Gripping page turning read. I could not decide whether to stay up all night or stop reading, the tension was gut wrenching sometimes. I wanted to stay up all night to see what happened but then I wanted to put the book down, afraid of what was going to happen. Living a life strife with violence and brutality a girl and her brother fight to survive, not just themselves, but for also the Cheyenne. A stand alone story with an unforgettable plot, this story flows exceptionally well and had enough historical details as to give you a real feeling of the time period. This is an intense read filled with hope, fighting to survive and enduring love. This is a love story with a mild steam rating. And I loved the title to the book, a good tie in to the story. Highly recommend this read. I received this book for free and voluntarily reviewed.
This is a tale of passion and pure lust, which endures through every obstruction including time. When Francesca saw the fires burn across the prairie that day she had no idea those hot flames would find their way into her heart. Meanwhile I Am The Wind who was sent back in time to take care of his people never thought he would loose his heart to a green eyed wild cat because wondering Cheyenne dog soldiers were supposed to be loyal, fierce, and free. Unable to stop themselves the pair fly through war, punishment, and time, just to fall into each others arms.
This is a fun fast paced mystical, historical, romantic, fiction. The love scenes while a bit repetive he always used his knee to spred her legs for example are woven into the story masterfully and do not overpower or get lost in the story. The history is interesting and sad it is amazing there are any Indianas left in America after what we put them through. The magic is unique a man turning into a raven and flying through time to help his people is one of a kind. I would highly recommend this book for anyone who likes historical romance or a quick romantic read.
