I went into this book fully knowing there was going to be cheating in it. It’s why I jumped on it. What I wasn’t expecting was for me not to love the main character Corbin.
It made it hard for me to loose myself in this book.
His reasoning why he never contacted Kinley after he left was something I would never forgive or give a second chance to.
I’m 50% into this book and I still don’t like him. I need to feel something. And I don’t. He’s selfish. Only thinks about himself. And I feel bad because Kinley is fighting to stay away. But I can see she misses the old Corbin. And she’s mixing the two together. I can see already she’s the one that’s going to get burned in this whole little affair.
When Corbin and Kinley first had sex all I kept thinking was there was no way I would feel comfortable having sex with him. There is just too much baggage to fully let myself go. I would regret it. Knowing I swept all my feeling aside to just be with him.
And sure enough… nearing the end of this book. I wasn’t feeling them as a couple. Corbin only though about him self past and present. Kinley did what we all do with our first loves. We overlooked everything. We came up with reasons why he couldn’t come through with their promise. We slowly changed who we were to keep this other person in our lives.
I just wasn’t enjoying it. Had Corbin’s reasons why he never came back or contacted Kinley once he made her that promise to come back was different. Maybe I would’ve felt them as a couple better. But I just couldn’t stand Corbin.
The ending grabbed me. I want to see how this whole love affair ends for them. Because so far… even to the very end…. Corbin hasn’t made any sacrifices. He’s living his life like nothing. And that doesn’t sit well with me.

Corbin & Kinley are on a terrible, twisting, heartbreaking and hopefully redeeming journey.
Celeste keeps giving me these books that make me feel more than my little body can contain.
This duet is off to an amazing start, transporting us back in time to them as teenagers as well as keeping us current, and the flow is absolutely seamless. Seeing them at the beginning of their journey as well as them in their current success is so bittersweet.
The heartache is palpable, as Celeste is so fond of doing to us, but more than that, we can feel the absolute torment each one is going through.
I devoured this book, in mere hours, and now I regret it, because I have to wait to find out what kind of ending she’s going to grace us with.

: Where the Little Birds Go by B. Celeste is a heartbreaking, second chance, Hollywood romance. I swear she does it to me with every single release. B. Celeste leaves me speechless and reminds me again of how she went from being a brand new author to one of my top favorites! Her books grab me by the throat and don’t let go until the very last page, Where the Little Birds Go was no different.

Told in dual POV Where the Little Birds Go dives into the present as well as Corbin and Kinley’s past. When Kinley and Corbin were young and in love and they both had big dreams. But once those big dreams became a reality promises were broken. Now almost ten years later, Kinley is an author and her latest release is being adapted into a film, and guess what married Hollywood actor is starring as the leading man in that film? You guessed it, Corbin.

The love, the heartbreak, the anger, the absolute turmoil. I don’t know how Celeste does it but I felt EVERYTHING these characters went through. It took me 3 days to actually write a real review because I had to get my thoughts together, now that I have… I still don’t know what to say to convince you to read this one. I know a lot of people don’t like cheating in books… I get it. But I urge you to give this one a chance.
If you enjoy angsty romances, then you aren’t going to want to miss this emotional and heart wrenching story.

() : Corbin Callum, I really want to hate Corbin. He not only left Kinley behind once he made it big… but now he’s married and still pursuing her. But everything is not as it seems in Corbin’s life and I believe him when he says he’s still in love with Kinley. But after that cliffhanger ending… seeing what Corbin does next is either going to make me love him or hate him. *FINGERS CROSSED*

() : Kinley Thomas, my heart hurts for Kinley. In every scene, I can see just how much she still loves Corbin and how hard working on set with him really is for her. Especially knowing that even if he still wants her, she’s not his anymore and he’s not hers. *SIGH* I am really, really hoping for a happy ending for these two.

: This one is more of a slow burn, the couple met as young teens and once they meet up again… there are obviously certain aspects of their lives that keep them from jumping into things headfirst. BUT… there is definitely steam, just wait for it…

: YES! You guys aren’t ready for this cliffhanger… JAW DROPPING! Thank goodness it’s not long before book two releases, I need Where the Little Birds Are like YESTERDAY!

I really enjoyed this second chance/Hollywood romance. Yes, the ending is predictable but that had no influence on my enjoyment of this book.
Kinley and Corbin have history. First love, soul mates kind of history. The reader will get the story of how they first meet when they are teenagers and to them being in the present time.
I liked both narratives. Both strong with emotion and it’s also one of the reason why I connected with Kinley and Corbin. From their first meeting there’s a connection between them. A beautiful friendship forms which slowly turns into more.
There’s a lot of hurt feelings between the two of them when they see each other again after being separated for years but it can never take away the love they still have for one another. It’s not easy when one of them is a married Hollywood superstar.
Where The Little Birds Go is book 1 in a Duet and I can’t wait to read the sequel. I totally adore Kinley and Corbin.
4 Little Bird Stars
Sometimes a person gets deep into your soul. Through time and space, even through much pain, love still lingers. Corbin and Kinley have that connection. It’s hard not to root for them, no matter any obstacles come between them, and no matter how wrong it may be. It was them against the world, until it wasn’t. But exactly what does the world want from them?
Barbara Celeste’s writing keeps getting better and better!
I keep hoping she stops playing with my feelings but man oh man….her books take you on a ride every time.
This book tugged every single one of my emotions.
Where Little Birds Go is a second chance romance with all the angsty on the side…
Kinley Thomas and Corbin Callum were High School sweethearts before they went separate ways to pursue their dreams.
There was heartbreak. There were things left unsaid…
Now many years later and both in their peak of their careers,Corbin being America’s favorite actor and Kinley a solidified writer, their paths cross again when her book turns to life in a movie and he’s being cast as the leading man.
Will things ever be the same between them? Can they look past all the hurt they’ve been through?
Where Little Birds Go is written in dual POV with flashbacks between past and present and it’s is book one in a duet.
Thank goodness book two is coming soon because HOLY MOTHER OF ALL CLIFFHANGERS,thank you Barbara.
I’m not really sure what to say about this book because there is so much left to learn in the second book. I will tell you that I enjoyed it a lot.
The story is told between the past and the present. I feel like we got to know a lot about Kinley in the past, but I wasn’t sure that I felt like I knew her in the present. And I feel like I know more about Corbin in the present, than we did in the past. I’m not sure if this was intentional or not, but an observation that I was left with. I like how all the pieces are strewn throughout the book from the past and the present and we’re just waiting to stitch it all together, which is what has me so curious for the conclusion of the duet. The story is second-chance, forbidden, friends to lovers and all the good things. So, I guess my review will have more to come when I get my hands on Where the Little Birds A
At least this time Barbara didn’t break anything but man I’m still reeling from this story! I’m still trying to figure out exactly what’s going on but I’ll be waiting for where the little birds are “patiently”. Such a great story!
B. Celeste is an excellent author. Where the Little Birds Go is a solid book. I liked its pace. I don’t know if it is a compliment or not, but it didn’t felt like a forbidden romance. Hey, don’t be mistaken, I liked the book and I want to (and will!) read the second one, it just felt like something was missing. Because it is subtle, I think it is a great book for those who want to read a forbidden romance, but is afraid to so. Anyway, I enjoyed reading. It makes me want to keep reading. I dare say I read it considerably quick, which is a good sign since I’m such a slow reader. Well, just go read it, you won’t regret.
Ahhhh! That cliffy! The Angst! Celeste once again captivates and ruins me with her powerful characters! Oh, my heart, I told myself I’d be ready this time but I wasn’t. Celeste is known to deliver an all-consuming story that will forever change your heart and there is just no preparing for her words. I freaking love her more and more with each book! Corbin and Kinley have a huge history, lots of unfinished business. Their story wasn’t finished and life’s cruel little twists has led these two back to each other…A beautiful second chance romance?, HaHa! Think again, this is like the Ultimate Hope book! I took such a strong emotional punch to the gut and heart with these two! Every emotion the characters felt was like I was experiencing it first hand. let me just say the way this book was written was Gold!! Past and Present transferred so flawlessly, everything meshed so well and the suspense keeps you dying for more. I loved everything about this story and I’m dying for the next book! Corbin has so much to make up for and explain, Kinley deserves the world and her future has me riddled with anxiety and a full heart. Gahhh, this book just wasn’t long enough for my poor heart. lol I’m never ready for this author to end a book. I’m still trying to process their story and my mind is just running with everything that could be coming but knowing Celeste isn’t done with my heart yet! One of my favorite things, I love Twizzlers and now every time I devour another bag I’m going to remember these characters. Where the Little Birds Go will leave you breathless and emotional but it will steal your heart! An Amazing way to kick off your new year! I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
First off, let start by saying I need book two STAT. Luckily, B Celeste will be putting me out of my misery by releasing it soon.
I’m not usually drawn to books about celebrities since they’re mostly the same (i.e. paparazzi drama). But B Celeste, also known as the Forbidden Queen (by me ), did a refreshing take on it in Where the Little Birds Go.
Corbin and Kinley were friends turned lovers who wanted more in life. Little did they know all the sacrifices they’d have to make for their dreams. I loved those two!!! Their relationship was so emotional. The flashbacks provided blended effortlessly with the present. Normally, I prefer one over the other, but I was eager for both of them when the time came.
I did think it was a bit short, but that’s why there’s a second book, right?! I wanted to spend more time with Corbin and Kinley and get to know them MORE. I was also hoping for the reason their relationship was forbidden to be more prominent, but again, it may be in the next one.
I’m ready for Where the Little Birds Are!!!
A top contender for the book of the year – but I desperately need Where the Little Birds Go!! An emotional, intense and overall 10 star read!!! The slow burn romance, the forbidden and unknown, and angst and emotion that you will absolutely fall in love with!!! B. Celeste also writes cliffhangers like a boss!! I May hate them, but hers are worth waiting for!!!
I don’t think anything could e prepared for me a book like this from B. Celeste. Her past books have been amazingly but this one – OMG!! Her characters continue to astound me with their vulnerability and emotion. I am still trying to come down from the hangover that this book gave me!!
B. Celeste is always one that throws you for a loop – read the ending- and suck you into all that is B. Celeste. Her words flow like magic and hit you deep!! My emotions – all over the place!!!
Corbin and Kinley. They have a past that is full of mistakes, young love, and intense emotions. Their story stars in the present and flashes back to the past. The story will leave you breathless and begging for more of Corbin and kinley!! Get the tissues ready and prepare to read from start to finish in one sit!!
“I need it all, even if it destroys me and what I’ve built for myself because nothing compares.”
“I believe that the reason I never let you go was because I was waiting for a second chance. This is it, Little Bird. It’s now or never.”
Where the Little Birds Go is the first book in this emotionally charged duet. I have always love the way this author brought the angst in her every book that is very realistic and something you could easily relate to, including this newest story.
The story is told through dual POV and about Corbin and Kinley, best friends since childhood that turned into a young love that ended bitterly. I don’t want to say more, because spoilers! But let’s just say that, you will definitely root for their love while being conflicted due to one big, glaring situation. I don’t know how it will go from there, what with that cliffy ending, (OMG! The suspense!), but I’m dying to know now!
Perfect read for those who loves Hollywood romance with second chance, small town vibe to it. Loved it!
Second chance romance is a favorite genre and this part 1 of a duet is an awesome second chance book! I was biting my nails and wondering if all of this was going to work out for high school sweethearts, Corbin and Kinley. Just kept me super engaged and avoiding life lol there’s a cliffhanger so fair warning on that! Part 2 comes out soon though so not too long of a wait!
“We get consumed so quickly in another person that we lose ourselves along the way. When you stop guarding yourself, everything is easier. Falling. Feeling. Hurting.”
B. Celeste has left me obsessing over yet another one of her stories. Only this time, it’s worse because…I NEED BOOK TWO!
Where the Little Birds Go is a captivating story of first love and heartbreak. The jolting feelings of being thrust back together, and navigating hurt from the past.
Kinley and Corbin’s story is told from both past and preset. The flashback scenes were beautifully interwove with the present, and that combination left their emotions to close in from every single side. Emotional whiplash is another way to describe it. We’d be given the sweetest of scenes, and then reality would kindly smack us in the face. I was HERE FOR IT!
Where the Little Birds Go is both heartwarming and heart-achingly beautiful. It’s the rawest of love stories that had me glued to the pages. I can’t wait to see where their story goes next!
B. Celeste has made quite a name for herself in this industry. Where The Little Birds Go is a bit different that her other reads, but her voice continues to shine through this novel. This book is great if B. Celeste is new to you or if she is one of your favorites!
There is nothing like a first love. Reading about Corbin and Kinsley’s past gave me butterflies!
Their paths cross ten years later and their chemistry is off the charts. The attraction is undeniable but the wounds are still raw. Can you really ever get those feelings back?
The answer… Yes? No? Ask B. Celeste after you pick up your jaw from that ending!! Counting down the days until the conclusion of this duet.
What an amazing story! I never would’ve of thought I would take my time reading a book like I did for this book! This is a second chance romance on another level. The intensity. The drama. The angst. I cannot wait until the ending! You’ve floored me with your words and emotions once again!!!
Wow….what a story, what interesting characters, what an ending. Where the Little Birds Go is the first book in the Little Bird duet and this novel had me hooked from beginning to end. This slow burn romance was written in both the present and the past giving us a good understanding of the past relationship Corbin and Kinley had. The story is complex and layered, dealing with cheating and extra-marital affairs and will evoke a range of emotions from you as this couple reunites after a decade apart. You will feel all the angst, emotion, the yearning, the heartache and love in this well-crafted nail biting page-turner. I can’t wait for the next book to see how this all ends. Where The Little Birds Go was an excellent read and I would highly recommend this novel to all lovers of second chance romance.
This book had me hooked from the very first page, but that’s no surprise, Celeste has had me hooked on her words since ’The Truth About Heartbreak’. There is just such realness to her words that grab my heart and don’t let go.
WTLBG is a second chance, Hollywood romance and sees our MC’s seeing each other after a 10-year gap where the hero, Corbin, promised the heroine, Kinley, that he would come back to their small town for her once he makes it. He never did and now married and seeing Kinley again only awakens the love he thought was buried.
The story jumps back in time so we get to see where Corbin and Kinley’s love started, which I loved, it was perfect young love and I got completely wrapped up in them.
In the now, Kinley is a famous author whose book is being made into a movie and Corbin has the lead role, something she didn’t want. Although she tries to keep her distance and concentrate on her hate for him and remain unaffected, the pull between them is just too much.
The build-up with this couple was slow burn and full of angst and so real I could feel it deep. The feelings between this pair only grew and no matter how wrong it was, the fate for their love could not be stopped.
The story is so raw and will see you cheering for this couple no matter how wrong it is. It does finish on a cliff hanger but we only have a few weeks until the final book and I can’t wait to see how their story will play out, all I know is, it will be painful, raw and equally as beautiful and I can’t wait!
