The conclusion to Corbin and Kinley’s story and if you thought the author would take it easy on her characters or her readers forget it she delivers another angst filled story. We are back with the couple where we left them serparated. My heart was with Kinley throughout the majority of this book as it felt like she suffered the most but I can’t say why as it will spoil the story for you. With drama coming from all sides Corbin has to prove that he is going to be the man she needs. Both of them are flawed and have made mistakes but I was holding out hope that this time they would hold tight to each other. We get some more of their past which answered questions I had. This was a satisfying conclusion to an emotional rollercoster love story.

“I’m my own puppeteer pulling the strings. And I got tangled.”
Some things B. Celeste’s books all have in common – great quotes, characters you can emotionally relate to and the ability to make you cry. Oh, and if you’re a fan of forbidden and taboo reads? She’s your girl.
The thing I loved about Where the Little Birds Are is how smoothly the reading went. Like, I started it and I didn’t get bored and pretty much finished it in one afternoon.
But that’s also what I didn’t like about the book and the story and the characters. I adored Corbin and Kinley. But I didn’t very much like them together.
“Sometimes we choose to do things no matter the consequences because we know we’ll withstand the storm.”
I feel like the main story idea could have been told in a much better way. For the conflicts this duet introduces and the theme of cheating, I feel like it was way too easy for the characters to not feel guilty about it and there should have been more heartache and drama. Kinley’s book Through Shattered Glass has more drama and conflicts from the sound of it than Kinley’s actual story.
I also found Kinley to be a very weak character. The minute there’s a tiny bit of hope of her and Corbin being together, she’s all in. All the times he hurt her and what the media said about her was forgiven and forgotten.
And Corbin. He was a sweetie and I related with him being lonely in his marriage with Lena, but I’m a firm believer you never should stay in a relationship that makes you unhappy. He should have manned up years ago and gotten divorce. And he also should have been more aware of what was happening in the media and how people talked about Kinley, and said something despite the danger to his career.
I liked Where the Little Birds Are, but I didn’t really love it. Despite that, I’d recommend it to everyone who like second-chance romance and are into books involving cheating.
This was a wonderful ending to Corbin and Kinley’s story. Such a wonderful happy ending. I absolutely loved how I could feel the love between the two. B. Celeste did an absolutely wonderful job.
“’ . ℕ , ’ . ?”
Book 2 launches us where WTLBG left us, with Corbin and Kinley having much to figure out, both together and individually.
The ANGST, y’all! Idk why I’m never prepared for it, when I know what Celeste keeps doing to me. I know better than to expect anything to leave me untouched in these stories.
It’s hard to explain anything without revealing too much about this one, so instead what I will say is that there is nothing to be missed about this one.
This conclusion was perfection, and I highly recommend carving the time out for this one.
This was a great followup to the first book in this duet. We get to see this couple come together and forgive each other, work on navigating something new and dealing with people who don’t understand their love. It had ups and downs, steam, amazing character interaction and just an overall feel love with these two even when they fought.
I love that this author does such an amazing job at crafting a story that moves readers. She invoked those emotions and keeps readers hooked and needing to know what’s going to happen even when real life gets in the way. I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next. I know I will be stalking her in anticipation. 4 stars #2OCCJD
4.5 Beautiful stars!
This was just the perfect conclusion to this wonderful love story! B. Celeste sure can deliver all kinds of emotions through her words. Her characters are true and their flaws are very relatable.
Book 2 starts right where book 1 ended with that cliffhanger. My heart cried for Kinley. She’d been through hell in her personal and professional life, but she is strong and able to overcome so much. Corbin definitely redeemed himself in this book. He’s broken but knows that Kinley is the love of his life, but he needed to prove it. And I believe he did.
This duet is angsty, full of love and characters that make awful choices that hurt each other, but in the end, it is all worth it and ties up nicely with a happily ever after.
An ARC was provided by the author.
Where the Little Birds Are
Book 2 Duet of Little Bird
By B. Celeste
Phenomenal! Absolute perfection! B. amazes me with her talent! With every new book she releases it keeps getting better and better!! I really love her stories!! It is so well written! So many emotions/feels. Most definitely couldn’t put it down!
“But every time you say I hate you, I’ll know you burn for me.”
“This is where I want to be— where my little birds are.” He cements his statement by pressing his palm against my stomach between us, holding onto the being that ties us together forever. He’s always been right. We’re inevitable.”
Perfect end to an awesome duet!
I really enjoyed this duet! It had such an amazing ending to Kinleys and Corbins story that left me feeling everything! The characters were so wonderfully written, B. Celeste had delivered another amazing book!!
This duet gave me all the feels. It was a great continuation of kinley and Corbin. Barbra Celeste has once again delivered a great book/duet. Great characters and amazingly well written.
4.5 “Little Bird” Stars
I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this book. I needed the conclusion of this duet as soon as I finished the first book. I needed to know if Kinley and Corbin would finally make it work and get the happy ending they both deserved and have been waiting forever to get.
Where the Little Birds Are picks up right where Where the Little Birds Go left off. Not knowing where Kinley and Corbin’s story would lead, I didn’t know what to expect, but obviously wanting more than anything for them to end up together.
Just like in the first book, this book also gives us past chapters as well as present chapters. We get to learn more about Kinley and what her life was like once Corbin left. It wasn’t easy, and she tried her best to move on, but knowing in the back of her mind she’d never be able to forget the boy with the silver eyes.
I loved how Kinley and Corbin both grew in this installment. Kinley found her voice and strength and I admired her for that. And Corbin didn’t back down and became exactly who I knew he could be. Kinley and Corbin are imperfectly perfect for each other. They’ve survived heartbreak and pain which they had to battle in order to get them to the right place. They were inevitable right from the beginning and watching their love story unfold is one for the books.
Where the Little Birds Are is raw and full of angst, sorrow and redemption. Kinley and Corbin fought for what they wanted and didn’t back down. It was the perfect ending to their story—one in which I won’t soon forget of Corbin and his Little Bird.
I really loved this book. It’s a great finish to Kinley and Corbin’s story. I love that in this book we continue to get more background. So many feels.
“There shouldn’t be a limited number of chances before giving it all up because nobody gets it perfect no matter how hard they try to.”
I had just emotionally recovered from the first book in this duet when I started this one, and once again, I was utterly destroyed. Full of angst, betrayal, longing, regret, hope, and redemption, Where the Little Birds Are is a masterpiece. I feel all the feelings when I read Celeste’s work, and this was no exception. This is the perfect conclusion to Kinley and Corbin’s story, with emotions so raw and so real that I felt I, too, had broken my wing.
I could barely stand to read the conversations between Kinley and her family– especially her mother — not because they were bad, but because there was so much truth and bitterness in their words that I felt like I literally punched in the stomach. Every scene was crafted with such care and such sincerity (Gavin and Corbin’s dad? Freakin amazing) and I cannot remember hating a character more than I hated Lena.
Celeste had a distinct voice that is intensely poetic, and writes so that every word flows off the page and straight through my heart. I’d give this duet a billion stars if I could.
This beautiful crazy cat lady continues to amaze me with her writing. Each book impresses me more and more. I absolutely love her books.
This is the second book in the duet, and cannot be read as a stand alone. Where The Little Birds Go must be read first.
We get more of the pass scenes in this book, and learn more about Kinley from the time she met Corbin, and then after he left. I loved the past scenses, it really let’s the reader know Kinley more, and connect with all her heartbreak.
Kinley has so much hurt and heartbreak, but she is still standing. Even with the public and tabloids attacking her, she shows nothing but strength and courage.
Corbin has a lot of growth in this book. He is a character that a lot of people did not like in Where The Little Birds Go, but he definitely made a big impact in this book.
I was hooked from the first page, and did not put my kindle down until I had finished the book. This is definitely a page turner.
I loved the conclusion, it was the perfect ending for this inevitable couple.
I definitely recommend this book to anyone that loves a angst filled, forbidden, second chance.
I received an arc of this book, and I am voluntarily leaving a review
This book. This angsty, emotional, rip-my-heart-out-and-put-it-back-together book. This was the continuation of Corbin and Kinley’s story and it was perfect. There were times I wanted to throw my Kindle across the phone and times I just had to stop and smile dreamily at it. The characters were so well developed. Some of them I wanted to kill. Others I loved. The plot was fast paced and kept me glued to my Kindle. I will definitely be recommending this book to everyone!
I was excited to finally be able to read the conclusion to this great duet. I really did enjoy Corbin and Kinley’s story.
The conclusion to Kinsley and Corbin is everything you could imagine. Two people coming together after so long and fighting for eachother. I devoured this story in one day because I just had to see their HEA! Ten years and the love they had never changed. They go through some tough battles with the media and Lena, Corbins wife, but you know what they say, True love conquers all. You learn more about why her and Parker didnt work out and about what she went through after Corbin left.
This is the final book in the duet that is Kinsley and Corbins story. I recieved an ARC in exchange for a honest review.
This was the perfect conclusion to Corbin and Kinley! Barbara continues to blow my mind with the raw talent that she possess, and this book is no different!
In this part two of the Little Bird series, we get to see just how and why Corbin left all those years ago without coming back, and how much he regretted that decision. Even though I truly loved him in the first book, he completely won me over while reading this book! He loved Kinley so much that he thought he was doing her a favor by letting her go; and even though her brother played a role in him walking away, I think it was good that they experienced the world and realized what they both wanted. What great love story doesn’t endure some type of pain? This theme plays well into Corbin and Kinley’s relationship. It seems that every time they take one step forward, they take another two steps backward.. But once they finally get it right and get to the point that they knew all along: that they belong with each other regardless of the consequences.. it was just everything.
I loved seeing how Kinley pieces together the parts of her best that Corbin broke and made her dreams come true. She took all of her love, pain, anger and resentments and made something truly beautiful, something that will forever immoritalize what these two share. She was such a strong character, and I loved seeing her stand up for what she wanted, for getting what she deserved, and for finally being happy with the boy she’s always loved.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: this author is a genius and I will read anything she decides to write. She’s quickly become one of my favorite authors, and if you haven’t read her before, this is the perfect duet to start with!
**I received an ARC of this book and these are my honest opinions!**
A perfect ending to an emotional story
“But I realize now that you must really love someone when you can’t even hate them for breaking your heart.”
The 2nd book and conclusion of the Little Bird duet was just Perfection!!
The story between Kinley and Corbin was beautifully flawless, bringing us more in depth of why certain things happened the way it did, and giving us the answers and closure we finally needed.
Barbara once again delivered a masterpiece full of angst, heartbreak, doubts, tears, but most importantly Love.
Love, between 2 soulmates that was once shattered by misunderstanding and painful decisions.
Love, that at the end found its own path, but a path filled with pain, misfortune and redemption.
Kinley and Corbin found each other, loved each other, and together fought the tiny odds reminding us that sometimes rules are meant to be broken, and that nothing can’t come in between a pure strong love.
“We’re remembered for the rules we break, not wollow”
And once again I found myself with a book hangover that i can’t seem to recover until her new release.
Barbara, standing ovation for you!!
A beautiful conclusion to Corbin and Kinleys story.
This book starts off from where book 1 finished. Goes back and forth between past and present, and duel povs. I loved how this is written and how the story flowed. The author knows how to hook you in and keep you emersed in the story so you don’t wanna stop reading.
Kinley goes through a lot emotionally in this book but it makes her stronger. Corbin man’s up in this and finally gives his little bird the ending she deserves.
