A perfect ending to a perfect duet!!
After the dramatic ending to part 1 I was so excited to get back into the star studded world of kinley and Corbin and find out how things would progress and Barbara did not disappoint!!!!
They have been in love since before fame came for them both and Corbin is determined to not make the same mistake again. But nothing is ever that simple , can they ride out the storm ??
I thoroughly enjoyed this duet ,brilliantly written with a strong set of characters that at times you love to hate lol, definitely a recommend read .
This conclusion to Corbin and Kinley’s story was utterly fabulous!!! I experienced their story because it was wrote in such an emotional and epic way. The author is a master and absolutely enthralling with her words. A beautiful, emotional rollercoaster that will leave you holding your breath for more!!
I was in shock by the events of this book and especially Corbin. The utter devotion and love he showed through every step of this book brought tears to my eyes. His willingness to stand up and fight for what he wanted. Epic and beautiful!’
Kinley has been through so much. She is a fighter through and through. She definitely has to fight for what she wants and even what she doesn’t want. The situations and things these two had to endure would break anyone.
An amazing 5 + star read will rock your world!! Read Where the Littlw Birds Go NOW!!!
I enjoyed the first book in the duet alot and couldn’t wait to get my hands on the second half!
However the second half fall a little flat for me. I think I over anticipated what might happen but it just didn’t hit me like the first book.
Corbin and Kinley have some much history and it impacted them alot. The connection and there history didn’t really translate that well in the second half, seeing as they kept making the same mistakes.
Kinda wish I got to see a bit more of there character development. The story felt a little rushed.
Although I do have to say that I love that they got there happy ever after and that they do really love each. I have to say that the story was well written.
As I already suspected, this duet isn’t my favorite B. Celeste book. But it doesn’t make them bad.
Where the Little Birds Are brings a great end to the duet. Both books are easy to read and original.
Try it and see if you like, but don’t forget to check out B. Celeste’s other books.
I don’t know if I would be Corbin’s biggest fan. I mean, how hard would it have been to pick up the phone on occasion…even before the conversation that changed things. The heartbreak was worth it, as their story made for a lucrative career for the both of them, on top of all the pain they suffered. I wanted to root for them. I also wanted to roll my eyes at them, and yell at certain others. I got invested. I liked how he finally pulled his head out of a tight spot and became protective. Life is messy and it doesn’t always go in a straight line, but its theirs, right or wrong.
I wish I could give this book more that 5 stars because it’s that good!
This book picks up right where, Where The Little Birds Go leaves off. It is the ending that I had in my mind for Kinley and Corbin!
A lot of people didn’t like Corbin in Where The Little Birds Go but he definitely stepped up to the plate, and redeemed himself. My heart breaks for Kinley in this book but she handles herself with as much dignity and grace under pressure as I think someone can given the circumstances.
In this book B. Celeste ties up the loose ends so to speak and get into the back story a little and help you understand how both Corbin and Kinley went through in their lives while they where separated.
If you haven’t read Where The Little Birds Go, yet you should start with that one because this of this being a duet and you will be lost if you don’t start at the beginning of this amazing love story!
Where the Little Birds Go is the perfect ending to Corbin and Kinley’s story. Corbin brought the swoon in this book and was finally ready to fight for what he wanted. I loved how he redeemed himself.
Kinley’s growth in this conclusion stood out for me. She grew into a strong woman who turned her pain into something beautiful. She was ready to stand for what she deserved and it was moving to read.
As I said with part one, B. Celeste’s signature voice continued to shine in Where the Little Birds Go. She brought the emotion, angst, with a hint of forbidden love and I can’t wait for her next release!
Oh My Heart! This book was nerve-racking! Where the Little Birds Are is book two in the little bird duet. I was dying to read this book after how we left on in book one and it’s very emotional! I devoured it in one sitting and wayyy to quickly! I won’t be giving any spoilers but the main focus of this book is so strong and you just feel all the heartache and all the overwhelming emotions! I was on the edge of my seat waiting for the truth to come out! My heart ached so much for Kinley, she tried to do the right thing and dealt with a lot of all this on her own. I don’t see that as a weakness, I think all things considered she was strong. I really have a lot of pent up anger at her family, I was just so consumed with wanting to protect Kinley and she really had no one to turn to. Corbin pulled through for me and I don’t even want to get going on that nasty Lena of his! She is such an evil woman, I would have loved to knock her down a few pegs! I enjoyed Corbin and Kinley’s conclusion and the family sit down I think that was very needed. The only reason for not giving WTLBA five stars is I felt like some of the look back on the past was just a filler and that could have been used to give more of an extension on the end. I ended the book wanting a bit more of Corbin and Kinsley and I just felt it was a little rushed at the end. I loved these character and Celeste just continues to kill it with the heavy angst and romances that are worth fighting for. I received an arc in exchange for an honest review.
Corbin and Kinley’s love story concluded beautifully in Where The Little Birds Are . Their connection and love for each other were deep, raw and real. Even though the choice they made hurt others, I cannot help but root for them.
There were lots of flashbacks outlining their heartbreaks, anger and regrets throughout the years which in turn molded them into who they were. I find that some of these flashbacks a little wordy and they slowed the pace of the book.
Corbin redeemed himself well in this installment. I was glad to see he finally manned up, took responsibility for his infidelity and bore the consequence with Kinley. I couldn’t ask for a more perfect ending for the couple. Their happiness was hard earned.
I really enjoyed this forbidden, heart aching, second chance romance. Get yourself ready for this beautiful emotional roller coaster ride!
I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
4.5 Stars!
“There’s more passion in hate, more fire,” he whispers against my lobe. “So, maybe you do hate me and my logic. But every time you say I hate you, I’ll know you burn for me.”
I’m sharing the above quote simply because I LOVE IT SO MUCH!
Now to my vague review because…duet, and I’m not about the spoiler-life.
I’m not going to lie, I was slightly nervous going into Where the Little Birds Are. We were left with so many obstacles stacked against Kinley and Corbin at the end of book one, that I wasn’t certain what else could be thrown at them.
Also, B. Celeste. Enough said.
My biggest hope for them was to fight. Fight for what their hearts longed for. Fight through the obstacles, and to let all the time, space, and heartache be their fuel. And I can honestly say, they gave me that and so much more. I’m so happy with how Kinley and Corbin’s story concluded.
Gosh, I really loved the characters in this story. I was so proud of Corbin by the time this story ended.
To be honest, I enjoyed book 1 but I really wasn’t sure what direction that the second book would go and I was pleasantly surprised. Hollywood romances aren’t my favorite thing to read but this was a low-key version of Hollywood and I thought it worked. Really happy with how the story concluded.
“Some people don’t survive because they’re too busy looking over their shoulder. We have each other.”
“Sometimes we choose to do things no matter the consequences because we know we’ll withstand the storm.”
Where the Little Birds Are is the final book in this raw, gritty, angsty duet. From the way the story ended on book one, the story continued where it left off with Kinley and Corbin facing the possible turn out of a scandal. Will their love be enough to withstand the pressure? Or will they cave in and give up said love? A truly angsty, realistic view to this industry. Perfect end to this duet and must read for the author’s fans.
Upon first glance you think oh what a gorgeous cover, but ultimately you have no idea what this book or duet is about until you look at the blurb. The cover gives nothing away about all the sweet yet taboo moments this book includes.
Where the Little Birds Are is the 2nd book in the Little Birds Duet! If you haven’t read book 1; Where the Little Birds Go, go read it and then come back.
Because this is a sequel and I don’t want to give out too much without spoiling the first book for you; I’ll be pretty vague in my review.
Corbin & Kinley spent years together as teenagers and throughout those years; their biggest supporters were each other. These two kids fell deep and hard; but sometimes life has plans that are bigger than us and those we love. Those dreams sometimes take us away from the ones we love most. However, life can bring us back together if we are meant to be. While Kinley is accomplishing her own dreams it brought her back to the boy she loved with all her little teenage heart. Now it’s not their dreams standing in their way…but people.
I was a bit sad that it seemed the ending was kind of rushed, I would have like to have gotten just a bit more at the end.
Overall, I loved this second chance love story. In a way I can relate to the characters in this story. Isn’t it amazing how a reader can find bits and pieces of themselves in characters in books. I truly love being able to relate to a character and know that I felt what they feel too. Barbara’s books always find a way to bury themselves deep inside my soul in one way or another and I absolutely LOVE that!
**This book does contain cheating.
I’m glad I didn’t have to wait to long for this story and the ending was perfect for Corbin and Kinley . As soon as I finished the first book I was anxious to know how there story would turn out and this author didn’t disappoint. My heart literally hurt for what Kinley went through and although we find out why Corbin left her all them years ago, it all boils down to miscommunication and Corbin didn’t fight for her but they where young and such and this is a romance story fictional not real life so I suppose I can let that slide although I truly wanted to dislike Corbin I just couldn’t. I am definitely giving this a 5 star review and I will be reading other story’s this author has published because I love her writing and the emotions she puts into her books ! Definitely a new favorite one click author for me ! If you are a newbie to this author this is the perfect duet to start as this duet was my first read by B Celeste and I’m now a huge fan !
*** I voluntarily reviewed an advanced complimentary copy of this book ***
Sigh. B. Celeste has truly taken me along this emotional journey and had me invested in every page. This duet, while not always easy to read as the characters make some questionable choices, is one of raw beauty. Not every romance needs to be perfect and not all fictional characters need to make the right choices, and this is what B. Celeste gives us. Flawed, realistic, and emotionally captivating reads with characters who tear their own hearts out in the pursuit of happiness. This duet really ended in the best of ways and while it took a little while (and a lot of tears) to get there the journey was worth it.
I recommend this authors books to all romance readers. Some may not care for the characters actions and that’s okay- not every book is going to be a fit for all readers- but some may see the beauty in the flaws like I do. So, if you can look past infidelity in romances (even though the lines of infidelity are really blurred) and enjoy an epic romance, then read this book! I loved the entire duet.
Where the Little Birds Are was the perfect angsty and heart clenching conclusion to this duet. Picking up at Where the Little Birds Go left off Corbin and Kinley immediately drew me even deeper into their story and had my emotions running the full gamut. I truly love when a book gets me so invested in its characters and elicits so many different emotions from me like this book did. Kinley and Corbin’s journey wasn’t easy by any means. There were so many obstacles these two had to overcome yet I loved watching their love strengthen through it all. Where the Little Birds Are was a love story not everyone would understand. It was complicated, messy, consuming, inevitable, and heartclenchingly beautiful in the end.
There aren’t enough words that can describe this story. The tear jerking emotions and the wonderful hea are just the tipping point of the description. B Celeste does such a magical job of these books that it leaves you wanting more every time. Simply amazing!
Perfection! I dived right into this duet conclusion. Oh the angst wondering how all this would work out for Corbin and Kinley. So many obstacles and issues that could mess everything up for them! You won’t be disappointed in this amazing second chance romance.
This is the perfect end to an absolutely beautiful duet. Corbin and Kinley’s story is exciting from beginning to end! I love second chance romances and this one delivers everything I was hoping for.
“Most of all let love guide your life”.
After the cliffhanger in book one, I couldn’t wait to dive into this to see where things would lead and the book jumps right into the story with Kinley suffering due to her and Corbin’s actions. I felt sorry for her, she was all alone and struggling, dealing with the aftermath and guilt. She was dealt such a rough hand, where Corbin didn’t seem to suffer as much.
Like book one we jump back and forward in time between young Kinley and present day. I enjoyed these jump backs, this book particularly deals with Kinley moving forward with her life after Corbin, her book deal and a little glimpse of her ex Parker. I must say, although they didn’t work out, I liked how he urged her to follow her heart and take a leap to do what would make her happy, rather than her parents.
What made this book for me was Corbin. He knew what he wanted and nothing was going to stand in his way. I particularly loved that he loved her honestly and with all his heart and that came across in all his words. She was his purpose and would do anything for her. I loved the honesty they shared together and how they became a ‘Us’.
This is the perfect duet that highlights that second chances are worth it and that you may have never stopped loving them all along. Such a beautiful journey of love and a must-read duet from a very talented author who’s books I just love!
ARC received for an honest review – thank you
