Content Advisory: The following story contains scenes of a graphic nature. These scenes are horrific and sexual acts that are occurring. Bloody goodness and dirty, vicious boys lie ahead. You’ve been warned.Logic tells us that when we reach the end of something, we stop. Life is a game, a book; everything has an ending, but what if the end is just the beginning? My end came a long time ago and I … My end came a long time ago and I hope you’ll understand why I can begin again at that exact moment.
There are reasons these things happen. I’m not entirely sure what they all are, and I can name a certain few, but that would defeat the purpose of figuring it out. Everything should begin as a clean slate and end in flames. Nothing is salvageable if you really open your eyes and look at this putrid world. I was once taught that everyone deserves a second chance, everyone is wonderful in their own way, and everyone finds happiness.
I used to believe that because I had found my happiness. My sliver of sunshine on a rainy day. My cool, calm in the raging fires that spoke softly enough to quiet my malicious thoughts.
But there are only so many times you can roll the dice before you keep ending up with the same numbers.

I’ve been trying to read Yolanda Olson’s back list and I’ve come to the conclusion that she will not give her readers an HEA. I mean, maybe for a specific character or two. But not exactly an HEA that I would root for. And that’s why I keep reading her books because she keeps giving me complete and utter mindfucks at the last page and her books.
This is the story about two male lovers. One has an utter fascination with females who look like a childhood friend that he lost connection with many years ago. But he continues to fuck and chuck them.
This is a short story so it’s kind of hard to explain the plot of the book without giving away the characters intentions. But this is a Yolanda Olson book so… she gets crazy.
That ending though. Complete twist I didn’t see coming at all.
I needed 24 hours to absorb this book before coming back to review. This story rolls along but you know something crazy will happen before too long. Lulled into complacency I was, then bang. My heart was racing, even though I wasn’t a fan of the victim…well I don’t want to give it away but ewwww. Shall we discuss the ending? I didn’t see that coming, or how or what…really WHAT?
Yolanda does it again, leaves me with a head spin. This book is MM so if you don’t like that read it anyway for the horror. I think this one might be one of my faves from Yolanda.

My mind was blown by Where Sleeping Gods Lie. There were twists and turns and an ending I wasn’t expecting. I was really intrigued by both Fai and Koval and wished I’d gotten a little more detail on them. However, their relationship was what drew me in. While it was sometimes unconventional, it worked for them and they were a solid unit. Koval’s obsession with his lost friend and love Exxie was sometimes heartbreaking. A dark and twisty ride that shouldn’t be missed.
Ok… How do I start… This was freaking fantastic!! This is a dark, twisted “love” story. Sort of, I mean I seen it as a “love” story from so many levels. First we meet Koval, who has had a rough life and the only shining star in his life is Exxie. She was a calming force for Kov. Well then Fai steps into the picture… After Exxie disappears from Koval’s life. Mmmmmmm Fai sounds dreamy… Anyway back to the story…. Angie might have partied a little to hard for her 21st birthday. She goes home with Koval and then precedes to be a annoying brat to Fai and Koval kicks her out. Let’s just say she should have just stopped talking but nooo she just kepted on and on and on…..
Let me stop no spoilers here. JUST GRAB THIS AWESOMENESS!!!!!! #TeamFai
Where Sleeping Gods’s Lie is a thriller with an ending you never see coming.
I just adore Yolanda Olson and all her madness! There are some killer steamy scenes but do not get comfortable, this one left me wondering!!
For Yolanda’s first M/M, M/F/M book, this is absolutely what you would expect! A man, still looking for the girl he fell for so many years ago. Two men who love each other. A woman who gets caught up in the middle of them. Its absolutely riviting, and in true Yolanda fashion, it’ll leave you questioning what you read and needing to read it again. Amazing!
