EvePretentious. Arrogant. Condescending. Cruel. All words I’d used to label him. Exactly what I’d always believed he was. All that changed one spring morning when I realized I didn’t know the man behind the facade at all.Angry. Desperate. Broken. Mine. All words I’d use to define him after I interfered. Once our eyes locked, I was all in. There was no turning back. He tried to push me away, but I … He tried to push me away, but I refused to let him go. I was determined to save him. What I didn’t expect was that he would save me, too.
Cy
I was so close to ending my misery. Mere seconds away. Then she stumbled upon our argument, and I changed my plans. She wasn’t supposed to be there. She knew too much. Even with my entire world burning down around me, she wouldn’t walk away.
I’ve always been on my own. No one had ever fought for me before. Why should anyone start now? But she did, no matter how much I tried to stop her. I knew I was nothing, unworthy of her, but she was persistent. Once she got under my skin, I couldn’t let her go, because where I end, she begins.

I think this author took a subject that is hard for some readers and did it beautifully with compassion and love. Sexual abuse is a hard subject, regardless of age, but when it’s a child/teenager, it’s more horrific and more difficult to read, let alone write about, I’m sure. I think the author did an amazing job showing the feelings of Cy, without going into graphic details of the abuse, she still got his pain across the pages. My heart bled for him as his thoughts lingered on him not being enough, him not being worthy of being loved and cherished. Him fighting his demons every day in which ever way he could.
It wasn’t until Evie took a stand and pushed back, did Cy begin to realize that maybe life could be worth living, if it’s with the right person..
*** She knows the bad parts of me and sees the good. She’s with me, despite all my faults and how f***ed up I am.
Cy and Evie’s story is a tragic one, but one that trough love and trust, blossomed into Cys saving grace. I hate how this story began but I love so much how it ended!
5 star review of Where I End (Arrow Falls #1) by Michelle Dare
AUDIO REVIEW:
Wow, I am not sure where to start with this review. Although I have read several books by Michelle Dare before, none were quite like this one. This was an intense story handled with care and dignity but be aware that the subject matter may not suit everyone.
I will be totally upfront and admit that in the beginning I absolutely hated Cy and his obnoxious and bullying of Eve. In fact I nearly turned this one off such was my initial reaction. However I persevered and I am so glad that I did.
There were times that my heart felt as though it was in my mouth as the emotions and pain and shame within Cy were conveyed by Tor Thom; I found myself moved to tears on occasion such was the power of the story.
Their relationship was unexpected; however it is often the unexpected that leads to new beginnings.Cy was so broken and defeated and Eve, the woman whom he had treated so shabbily as a teenager, is the one that eventually helps him to heal.
This was an emotional read, the story well written and the characters were brought to life in a way that made it easy to relate to them through the narration of Tor Thom and Charley Ongel.
I felt that this book was so wonderfully written and the characters were really well fleshed out that this book gave me all of the feels! I was so enamored with this story that Cy and Eve pulled me right into their story as it unraveled and took me along on their journey as it effortlessly unfolded!
So much pain and love. This was a hard book to read and yet so very good. It is a rough subject but it was done tastefully and I think it really brings to light some of the evils in the world. Cy suffered greatly at the hand of his step father and had no one in his corner, not even his mom. He took his anger and frustrations out on Evie (despite always having a thing for her). I love the character of Parker. He is awesome. The kick as best friend who embraces Evie and the three of them become their own little family. Such love and devotion among them. Only wish was a final determination about Everett. Love the ending. So adorable.
This audio didn’t really work for me. I don’t know if it was the narrators or the writing that was the problem, the story had so much potential. Enemies to lovers in a roundabout way, with Cy being cruel to Eve throughout school, picking on her and ridiculing her with his band of merry men, and their trusty female entourage. Years later Eve becomes his saviour and a friendship forms, it’s then that the truth comes out, the truth of what Cy had to endure, and the reason he behaved the way he did. I loved that Eve held no grudge, but I just felt like the whole scenario was a little cliched and a whole lot of cheesy.
Whoa! This is one emotionally charged story! I can’t help but really feel for this guy! To be at the end of that rope and have family like that? So frustrating to be him. Luckily Eve sees more that the bully man slut that he has always shown himself to be.
I love this author! She knows how to “nail” that emotional bit as well as write heartfelt characters. I did listen to this on audio. Tor Thom and Charley Ongel do a great job giving angst, anger and love.
Another start to another wonderful series! Loved it all, the heroine was so relatable, the storyline believable and the ending so worth it!
A powerful story of how childhood abuse can effect others by bullying and hurting others. The one person he really liked, but bullied all through high school, was at his home to witness his breakdown. All she wanted to do was to keep him from killing himself and let him know he was worth living. a story of rejection, bullying , forgiveness, trusting again, faith in people and love.
Charley Ongel and Tor Thom brought all the emotions to this story

Good story. Keeps you guessing as to how it will end
I loved the book
The author did a really great job in writing this story. It was gut-wrenching to read regarding the main character and his horrible childhood. And I could feel the anguish the female lead felt in school while being bullied. The author wrote it so descriptively, it made me sick to my stomach and really feel the pain. This is a good story with a great ending.
Eve didn’t have the best time in high school, mostly because she was relentlessly bullied & teased by Cy, the son of the wealthy family her mother worked for. Now in her 20’s she’s working for Cy’s mother Risa as her personal assistant. Even though she still sees Cy & his best friend Parker on a daily basis, as long as she keeps her distance she hopes he won’t do anything to her. Despite all the mean things he’s done to her, she hates that she feels somewhat of an attraction to the good-looking jerk. When she overhears a heated conversation between Cy & Risa, she stumbles upon a shameful secret he’s been carrying. She vows to help him in any way she can.
This book discussed difficult topics – bullying, sexual & mental abuse, & suicide intervention to name a few. It’s an emotional read where you see the light (Eve) try to shine into the dark (Cy). Eve has a big heart to be able to forgive & help Cy. Cy feels terrible for how he treated Eve & can’t understand why she would want anything to do with him. Through time, affection & eventually love Cy redeems himself to the woman he’s always felt something for. Parker redeemed himself as well, being a trusted friend to both Eve & Cy. Looking forward to reading his book next!

“Where you end, I begin.”
Wow! I was feeling all the feels in WHERE I END, a powerfully moving enemies to lovers romance about a sweet and caring young woman who is there for her former tormentor in his darkest hour. And from there an ACHINGLY BEAUTIFUL love story is born.
This is my first book from the mega talented Michelle Dare but it won’t be my last! Her writing is captivating and engaging, the dialogue sizzles and pops, her heart wrenching emotional tone really resonates, and her dynamic, multi-faceted characters ooze charisma, complexity and soul!
Ms. Dare explores some hard-hitting themes in this angst-ridden story, including suicide, sexual and physical abuse and the redemptive, healing power of love. And she does it with grace and the utmost sensitivity!
Gah, I was just so incredibly touched by Cy and Eve’s tumultuous love story! Their interactions are mesmerizing—there is so much raw palpable emotion and smoldering sexual tension bubbling beneath the surface, these characters share an electrifying chemistry and their journey together really struck a chord.
But YIKES these two sure got off to a rocky start! Back in high school, Cy, a filthy rich, over-privileged bad boy who got a kick out of bullying Evie to gain even more popularity, looked like he hadn’t a care in the world. But behind the arrogant attitude, gorgeously cocky smirk and rock hard physique lurked some torturous dark secrets that haunted him to the core. And proved to be the pathway to these two enemies reconnecting years later in a shocking turn of events.
Even though I was ticked at how mean Cy was to a beautiful, gentle-hearted girl like Eve, who’d never done a thing to deserve his cruel wrath, when the devastating truth came out about what he’d been suffering through my heart shattered into a trillion pieces for him. And in the heroine he found his sweet angel of mercy, a beacon of light amid the suffocating darkness. And despite how nasty he was to her in the past, I love how kind and forgiving, sweet and compassionate Eve was. Her heart was just so beautiful and over time her goodness seeped into Cy’s achingly bereft soul. And, against all odds, together these former adversaries find a love that SHINES IMPOSSIBLY BRIGHT!
“You are MY catastrophe.”
The road to HEA is rife with immense pain and sorrow and a plethora of emotional obstacles, as well as a sinister undercurrent of evil which reaches a jaw-dropping climax that had me GASPING! But through it all, there is an abundance of love and hope, breathtaking tenderness, and a fiery, soul-deep passion that could not be extinguished! I was fully invested in this duo from the start, and oh how I rejoiced when at long last true love perseveres!
NARRATION:
I have listened to many audios by the talented narration team but this is by far the most poignant, gut-wrenching and deeply effective performance I have heard from Tor Thom and Charley Ongel to date. Tor’s portrayal of Cy, a tortured bad boy who endured horrific abuse and was pushed to the brink of despair, SLAYED ME! His sensitive, nuanced performance was the perfect blend of broody, arrogantly sexy alpha male and tragically despondent wounded soul, and the range of raw, heartbreaking emotions he depicted really cut deep. I felt his character’s torment as if it were my own and that’s a TRUE TESTAMENT to his incredible talent!
As for Charley…. holy wow! Her performance of Eve was spot on! She is such an incredibly versatile narrator, which really came across in this audio. Her impassioned line deliveries were sweet and emotive, and she had the perfect inflections to capture Evie’s every mood as well as the vast array of feelings the heroine underwent throughout the book. Whether the scene entailed her to be kind and empathetic, strong and determined, sassy and sultry, or a combo of all of the above, I FELT IT ALL!
Additionally, the natural ease and palpable chemistry between these two seasoned performers really moved me! I relished the way they interacted and played off each other, capturing their searing romantic connection and encapsulating all the intense, blisteringly painful emotions these characters faced along the way. Which ultimately infused these enemies to lovers with incredible rooting value!
BOTTOM LINE:
WHERE I END is a heart-gripping audio that I most highly recommend!!!
Oh man, this first book brought all the feels to the surface for me, and I enjoyed every minute. There are some deep and serious topics within these pages, and I loved how strong both Cy and Eve are, even dealing with their own issues. The issues the characters are dealing with are things that unfortunately we see in the news all too often. One thing that I did appreciate is the fact that it’s okay to ask for, and seek help.
The blurb sounded good but over all it was okay for me. It was a bit repetitive and I just didn’t really care for the characters, except for Parker.
I have long been a fan of this author and each and every book is better than the last. This book is the most emotional one so far. It is a twist on the usual boy saves girl storyline. In the end, girl saves boy and herself which is unique in the alpha dominated romance world.
Terrorized in high school by Cy and his friends, Eve is intrigued by her tormentor. The Big Man on Campus has a big secret that impacts his, and in the future, Eve’s life. Little does Eve know of the real Cy until the impact of his personal life crosses her path in a dramatic and overpowering way.. These characters are powerful and the themes in this book are very emotional and difficult for people in real life to deal with. I think Ms. Dare explores the depth of the issues with compassion and care. Eve is a strong heroine, stronger than she’s ever given herself credit for. Sigh––and Cy, damaged and broken, is stronger than he realizes. However, once he allows Eve her rightful place in his life, he recognizes how much stronger he can be. Working as a team, the couple not only manages to mend the past but create a future.
I listened to the audio book, the narrator for Cy gave me shivers. Very well done and enjoyable
The characters are well developed. The story is nicely paced. The slow steamy burn is explosive and the writing is top notch. If you like emotional, sensual, and satisfying reads, I highly recommend Where I End.
* I got the vibe it was a dark romance from the blurb. It is not. Be conscious of this those that devour darkness. For those that live in the light, you are safe. And those that straddle the line like me- Have Fun!*
Eve thought the end of Hell was called graduation. Well at least for her it was… Tormented, bullied, and done with high school, Eve has chosen to stay in the town that made her miserable. I guess I should say, stayed in the town where HE lives, HE being the one to make her miserable. She still sees him often and though their interacts are limited she can still feel the hate. Why does Cy Revere hate her? When you figure it out, let Eve know.
For years he made her the laughing stock of school,he made sure that she had exactly one friend. He tormented, bullied, and generally made her miserable. Are you sensing who the bad guy is?
Don’t judge a book by its incredibly hot cover! Cy maybe a gorgeous alphahole but he isn’t the bad guy here. No, he is the wounded bad boy. The one we all want to hug and make him feel better.
Better what a relative term! Maybe some day…or maybe it’s easier to end it.
Cy is at wits end. Suffering through more than he can bear. But one conversation and a helping hand cause him to waver. Will it be enough? We they be enough for each other?
This book was so tragically beautiful! I loved this book very much. It was so well written and the story was so real it made the characters real. Their pain and happiness were real. This is the type of book you never get rid of. A must read and a must have!

What an emotional and fantastic book Michelle Dare has written oh my goodness I loved everything about this book.
I can’t even begin to tell how emotional I felt reading this book, I think that it hit all the different emotions for me, anger, disgust, sadness, happiness, pity and just felt so sorry for both characters.
Cy was your typical high school student who thought he was everything and pretty much picked on the weakest person he knew, well that’s what I thought anyway. After you dive into more of the story you find out all his secrets and as much as he was nasty to Eve you could also understand why he did he was just lucky that someone with a big heart like Eve didn’t destroy her and would later be the one saving his life.
Eve was a fantastic character she was strong, selfless and very forgiving but never forgot what made her this way. The way this character took matters into her own hands and took control of certain situations was awesome and I loved Eve.
This book took me on such a ride from the first page until the very last with family secrets, families being broken apart and the actions of one very horrible man. I didn’t want to put this book down I just wanted to see what happens and I am so glad I did.
Fantastic book and I would recommend this to anyone a big 5 stars for me for this book
Cy gave Eve a hard time during high school. After some time has past Eve forgives. Eve finds out that Cy has demons in his past. I enjoyed reading this book. I enjoyed the storyline and plot. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
