Aggressive, physical, and brave, Jake Owens is a small town football hero turned big city cop who passes his time with meaningless encounters believing he can’t have who he really wants: Nate Richardson, his best friend since before forever. Thoughtful, quiet, and kind, Nate is a brilliant doctor who has always known who he is and has never been able to shake his crush on loyal, courageous, … straight Jake.
After a passionate night together, Nate realizes Jake isn’t as straight as he assumed, but he worries that what they shared was a fluke, a result of too much closeness for too long. For Jake, the question isn’t how they ended up in bed together because he has always known that Nate holds his heart, it’s how he’ll convince Nate that he wants and needs to stay there.

Where He Ends and 8 Begin is part of tge Homes series by Cardeno C. Emotional, sweet, steamy…. this book is just absolutely wonderful. The characters are likable and together they just spoke to my heart – a deep love and friendship that lasts a lifetime. One of the best lovestories I have read this year.
Jake and Nate belonged together. From the first day to the last. The changing points of view show so much of what the other guy was missing, misunderstanding, or just plain didn’t know anything about. Jake comes across as the angry aggressive guy, but his actions time and time again prove that he loves Nate completely. He saves Nate over and over again all while keeping him from finding out. Nate longs for Jake but an assumption that Jake is straight keeps them apart. The absolute joy comes through when they come together. It takes Nate a bit to get over his fear that Jake will eventually give him up. Jake made me adore him, even more, when he kept showing Nate that he would never hide him, never deny who Nate was to him, never give up on them but spend every day proving that Nate was the only one for him. The ending was perfect and the bonus material made me smile.
Highly recommended author and series
Audiobook: good narration
I always know when I want a fairytale romance with lots of hot sex, Cardeno C’s books will fit the bill and this was no exception. Jake and Nate were fated to be together since the day they were born. Most of that time spent as best friends each secretly longing for the other. When the finally get together, they cannot get enough of each other, as if they are two halves of one person.
Jake’s devotion to Nate over the years is beautiful. Often the same story is told in alternating POV’s, and if you have read the previous book, you know how their story will end up, but if you want a super sexy and sweet, no angst story about true love, this one is perfect.
Great read about the lifetime of love that these two characters had for each other that turned hot and heavy! Yay!
I loved the entire series.
What can I say? Blind men. They saw flowers sprouting from the path the other person took, but they themselves couldn’t see how the other one was looking at them. :shakes head:
But outside of that, I did like the flash backs to help you show you how they have impacted the other’s life over the years and you really see the whole story from both their point of views.
I did enjoy the story and that is always a good thing. 🙂
It was good but no conflicts. Every time it seemed like something would happen to put strain on the relationship, both guys just “understood”. Missing drama.
Wonderful story and characters. To know someone and love him all your life literally must be awesome! These to men were made for each other. The love that they share is inspirational. Read and be prepared for a warm heart and happy tears.
Loved the MC’s. M/M love
A well-written easy read
Loved it From Beginning to End! I wish I could give it more than five stars!!!
When the poor quality of writing ruins the story…
Didn’t look closely at the description to see what type of book it was, so I was a little surprised when it was two men as a couple lol. But a decent story and very steamy!
This book was very good not to rough not to steamy.
A little choppy going back and forth between different points of view and a lot of duplication
Once you get past the premise, which feels a little far fetched, the rest of the book was great. The characters are believable and true and really really in love. I liked how the author did not rely on stupid misunderstandings to move the plot along. There were some great pieces of life chapters. If I did not know any better I would have said this book reads like a fanfiction, in all the best ways.
Too little relationship progress and too much sex; it made the story drag.
loved it. great story and great mcs
Kind of a featherweight read, actually. One thing I did like is that the crises didn’t draw out forever. When characters had an issue with one another, they resolved them quickly and relatively drama-free. Refreshing.
