A steamy, gripping second chance romance that readers are calling “an intoxicating read that will hold you absolutely spellbound.”-Bloggers From Down UnderNOW A TOP 60 AMAZON BESTSELLERIt was a bad idea from the beginning. He was my brother’s best friend and the definition of unavailable. But I didn’t care. I had loved him for as long as I could remember. He was worth the risk. He was worth … as long as I could remember.
He was worth the risk. He was worth everything.
But then he broke my heart as easily as I fell for him.
He watched me fall, spiraling out of control, and as I reached for him, he wasn’t there to catch me.
So I ran.
Four years later, I never expected to see him again.
He was still my brother’s best friend, and he was more unavailable than ever.
He looked every bit the bad boy I knew he was, covered in tattoos and a crooked smile.
Guarding my heart from him was top priority because Parker James was where good girls go to die.
Unfortunately for him, I wasn’t a good girl anymore.

I was hooked immediately.
It’s so freaking hard to believe that it took me over a year of this story sitting on my kindle for me to finally pick it up, but the moment I did there was no stopping me from devouring it in one sitting. Where the heck has Holly Renee been all my life? Her beautiful storytelling completely blew me away and I was wholeheartedly captivated by the words on the page.
Where Good Girls Go To Die was a heartwarming story full of emotion that proves true love can sometimes conquer all. Parker and Livy’s history was heartbreaking and I was rooting for their second chance right from the very beginning. Their chemistry was undeniable and there was no doubt in my mind that these two belonged together. These characters may have been slightly flawed, but then again heartbreak can do that to a person.
My heart broke a few times throughout when I read about the pain they both endured and how it could have all been prevented…if others hadn’t secretly stood in their way. The flashbacks from their high school days added a lot of insight to the past and happened to be some of my favorite scenes from the story. Eventually fate would intervene (thank goodness) and things would finally start to slowly (sometimes feeling painfully slow) fall into place. This was a story full of angst and was the perfect start to this standalone Good Girls series!
No one does angst-ridden, first love like Holly Renee. This story, seamlessly jumps forward and backward in time – The two main characters – Livy and Parker each chronicle how their love started, how it got f**ked up, and how they are feeling now that they back in each others orbit. Can they work it out before Parker says “I do” to another woman? Can’t wait to read more in this series.
“Where Good Girls Go to Die” Book 1 of “Good Girls” Series by Holly Renee
** Spoiler Alert **
This is now the 3rd read by this amazing author and I am hooked…..I purchased this book last night and I am sad to say I am done with it… I didn’t want it to end.
Parker has loved her since he was 16 years old but he has never told her in fear of losing his best friend… He finally decides to make his feeling known only to have his hopes and dreams ripped from him when his ex-girlfriend shows up claiming she is pregnant with his child. This cannot be happening…
Olivia, (Livy/Liv) has always been in love with Parker. He has been her moon, her stars and he has been the air in her lungs. He has finally declared his love for her but when she goes and surprises him…. She sees his ex through the window with Parkers had on her belly. No….No…Nooooo. This cannot be true… Pure heartbreak! It’s all confirmed when the b*tch comes out of Parkers house telling her that she is pregnant with Parkers baby. Liv cannot get away fast enough. She cannot face him. He has completely destroyed her and she will never forgive him.
Four years and six months later…. It’s his bachelor party and Mason (his best friend and Liv’s brother) decides to take him to a strip club but little didn’t they know that their entertainment for the night was none other than Livy herself. Parker is blown away… there is something about this woman that has him spell bound but he cannot see her face….He mask slips off and then they all see who it is…. LIV…..
Mason and Parker are stunned speechless…. They cannot believe their eyes… No way in hell will she be stripping again… Not over Parkers or Mason’s dead body.
How will he be able to get her out of his head? He is meant to be marrying his love Emily in 2 weeks…. Why did she have to come back now? He was safe… Safe from being hurt again…
I tell you ladies… this story will have you at the edge of your seat from beginning to end. It is filled with lies, heartbreak and secrets… The love, the passion and the all-consuming desire will leave you breathless. There is ton of story to be read.
Holly you write with so much passion. The fire behind each character….. is blazing hot…. The characters are so well written. The story has me captivated and from the very first page. I felt the pain, I felt the love, I felt the heartbreak and I felt the desire. VERY WELL WRITTEN….
2.5 Stars
When I read the blurb for Where Good Girls Go To Die, I was instantly intrigued. I love me some forbidden romance stories about falling for your brother’s best friend. While Holly Renee’s writing style was wonderful, this story was just not for me. There were some things about this story that I really loved, BUT there was some things that I absolutely hated, and those things are what made this story not for me.
What I liked about the story : The close friendships, and the closeness of the family relationships. I like how, Where Good Girls Go To Die was also told in past and present tense. I also enjoyed the tattoo aspect, and how one can find solace when drawing.
What I did NOT like : Cheating. I absolutely despise cheating, I do not condone it, any way that the story is flipped. I feel like that should have been noted, that some people might find it disturbing. Even though the story was told in past and present tense, I feel like I could have used more information on certain subjects, and because of that, it felt rushed. I also did not like how it abruptly ended. The story felt unfinished on so any levels.
While this dual POV didn’t sit well with me, others will probably enjoy it. I guess it is just a preference thing and for that, I will recommend it.

Where Good Girls Go To Dies is the first book I’ve read from this author and it definitely won’t be my last. This book was fantastic! I loved not only the storyline but also the characters and I was hooked form the very first page and I finished the book in one sitting. I really did not want to put it down. I laughed, I smiled and I ended this book feeling happy. This was an easy and light read and I can’t wait to see what the author comes up with next. I would definitely read any book this author writes in the future. I recommend this book to anyone looking for a good second chance romance read.
I picked this book because the title sounded interesting. I had never read this author before. I loved this book and could not put it down! I will be reading all of Holly’s books now.
Loved it – can’t wait to read the next in the series…
I’m glad found this book and this series: great writing, all the feels, and a cast of characters that you will come to love.
What did I read? I will be honest… I bought this book based on the title and cover. I didn’t read the synopsis at all. I thought for sure I was getting some sort of mystery or thriller. This book is definitely neither of those. Good thing I am a sucker for a second chance romance!
I was hooked on this story from the first sentence. That opening scene though…
I fell for these characters from the get go. I wanted the man to get his woman so bad I could taste it. These two characters have carried a love for one another for so many years, it was only right that they finally get things right.
This book is told in dual point of views, past and present. I can’t see this book being told any other way. It works for these characters and the story they have to tell. And what a story it was. I devoured this book. I couldn’t get enough of it!
If you are looking for a second chance romance with great characters, a strong story, angst, fun, and a happily ever after, this book is for you!
I’ve heard such good things about this book and once I started I was immediately hooked. Livy had her heart broken years earlier and fled to start a new. Her past and present collide when she comes face to face with the heartbreaker, Parker…at his bachelor party…and she’s the entertainment. The story was fast paced which worked with the bit of background we are given. It had the right amount of flashbacks for a shorter story and you can’t go wrong with tatted up alphas.
Unexpected!! When I first read the blurb… i was intrigued.. the cover is bright red which really set the mood for the whole book… its fire, passionated through the roof…
I am inlove love with the opening prologue.. it was sad but it lead to hope and when you have fallen in love.. thats it.. no matter how much it hurt and pained… it keeps you going… thats what Liv and Parker…
The story is very seductive.. I love how Holly describe the sparks between this couple.. I laugh.. cry and hurt together… what an awesome book to have… I can see a piece of myself from the story.. no matter what happen.. when you love someone…you can always forgive no matter what..
This book really tearing your emotions in so many ways.. its not only sweet… sinful seductive but it challenge you.. ahhh this is one of my best read 2017 😉 well done..
The is my first book by Holly Renee and i can guarantee it won’t be my last, well put it this way i was halfway through Where Good Girls go to Die and i bought the second book.
This is the kind of story i love to read with a bit of angst and being a second chance romance it had all the thoughts of how is the all going to play out. As soon as i read the first page i was hooked and couldn’t put it down.
The way this story was written was perfect and i know there will be a storyline that some people won’t agree with but i loved it and half the time it’s what’s make the book, yes it had cheating but this story wouldn’t have been the same without it.
I loved both characters in this book for such different reasons, these two were pulled apart because there was a communication break down and it caused them to be apart for years.
Liv was a very lost character and she didn’t know what to do with her shattered heart and all she knew was to run and honestly i couldn’t blame her and i loved that we find her in not the best place, and it added to her character and what she was willing to do to stay away from her home town.
Parker was the same lost but trying to get on with his life but when we find out some of the stories behind his tattoos you just knew that he hadn’t let go of the past and that as well as Liv’s his heart was also shattered.
I loved how we got some of the back ground of these twos lives before they seperate and i don’t usually like going back to the past but in this book i loved it and we needed this so we could understand how deep these characters loved run.
Loved loved loved this book 5 Stars for this awesome read
When you read the first scene of Livy and Parker together you could feel their chemistry.
There’s just no way these two should not be together, the sexual tension, the angst.
You always remember your first love and the impact they had on you.
I love this story it’s a very sweet romantic story about first love finding their way back to each other.
They were always meant to be together.
“…love is a word that is too weak and used too often…”
Holy Whoa! I’m becoming more and more of a first person pov fan so I really enjoyed the flip between Livy and Parker. While the story bounces between present and past, we find out important details and skip the unnecessary fill-in which keeps the story moving. It’s a second-chance romance that has ups, downs, twists, hurt, and love that all equate to one major thing– communicate!! It didn’t matter when or why Parker and Livy were together (weren’t together), their chemistry was off-the-charts hot!! Even if they tried not acknowledge it, it was always there. And can I just say how much I REALLY love Brandon and need him to have his own HEA story!
This book intrigued me, and this is also a new author for me, and i can honestly say it will definitely not be my last !
Liv has been deeply in love with Parker James (her brother’s best friend) her whole life, but she knows he doesn’t see her as anything else but the little sister. That is until he does !!!!! Liv gives him her everything and falls even deeper, until overhearing something she can’t bear, it crushes her and she runs. Four years later her life has changed dramatically and she’s now a dancer in a high end club. Imagine the feelings that hit her when she’s dancing at a bachelor party and comes face to face again with Parker. and yet again she’s faced with news that can destroy her all over again.
This couple and this story captivated me right from the start. I loved Parker James and Liv. My heart twisted for them, to have lost that blind faith in love at such young ages due to misconceptions and not communicating. Yet their passion never ceased, Their love grew stronger. It wasn’t always an easy story to read, you could feel their pain, their anguish, their hurt and this is not an easy journey for either. Parker and Liv both have to really look inside themselves, neither of them want to hurt each other or anyone else. This author has written this story with so much emotion you can feel it right into your bones. So many heart warming moments that will have you in tears, so many feelings overloaded me reading this book, its a book that will definitely touch your heart and a couple you will love !!
Livy and Parker were highschool sweethearts and everything was going well until something happened and pulled them apart. A few years later they reconnect and old feelings start to surface. Will they be able to get it right this time?? If you’re a fan of friends to lovers and second chance romance you NEED to check this book out. It was just perfect! You could FEEL the sexual tension oozing off the pages with Livy and Parker. I found myself having to fan myself and this was before we even got to the good stuff!! I also loved the second characters Brandon and Staci and I hope we will be getting a book about them as well.
“But love is a word that is too weak and used too often to describe what I feel for you. It’s relentless and desperate, and every time you smile I fall harder and harder.”
Oh man I’ve never read anything by this author before and I DEVOURED this book in one sitting! The writing and the story just sucked me in and I couldn’t put the book down!!!! I LOVE second chance romances and this one was done right!!! The story flips back and forth from past and present. I loved that the author did this because I was able to FEEL the connection between the two characters. I’m all about the feels when I’m reading and this book gave me plenty of them! It was the right combination of romance, angst, passion and comedy. I loved the feeling this book gave me and I’m so sad that it’s over. I can’t wait for the next book in this series. Well done Holly Renee!
I loved Holly Renee’s tangled love story Where Good Girls Go To Die.
Livy had been in love with her brother’s best friend, Parker for as long as she could remember. She knew things didn’t get better than him. When Parker finally admitted he was in love with Livy too, sparks flew and their secret love began.
However, a vengeful ex-girlfriend causes an unfixable rift between Parker and Livy. Caught in the lies and their aftermath, Livy runs.
More than four years later, Parker reappears in Livy’s life . . . at the clubs she is stripping at, for his bachelor’s party. When the awkward evening causes Livy to lose her job, she is headed back home and now must find a way to live her life, knowing that the man she can’t seem to get over is engaged to be married and just as unavailable as he was when she ran four years ago.
When fate continues to throw Parker and Liv together, they are both forced to face their feelings and decide what it is they want and need from one another. Of course, it doesn’t help that they also find themselves working together daily thanks to Parker’s friend and business partner Brandon.
Holly Renee has created a fantastic love story that is full of angst, humor and second chances. Liv and Parker both made choices they have to live with. I enjoyed watching how they circled around one another waiting to see if they would give their love a second chance. Side characters Brandon and Staci provided a fantastic touch of humor to this tale and helped push Liv and Parker along in the right direction.
This was a fun book with just the right mix of hope and regret, angst and new beginnings. 4.5 stars.
