She wasn’t ready.
She’d never be ready,
…to say goodbye.
Clare Murray knew that all too well. Still holding the last letter her husband wrote her before he died, those words, written in his quirky, messy handwriting, “When You’re Ready,” still bring her to her knees. And that was so long ago…
Now, when fate brings her face-to-face with a stormy-eyed doctor intent on changing her mind, Clare … changing her mind, Clare might finally be willing to take a second chance at love. But when she finally relents and allows Logan Matthews into her heart, their love is tested in all-too-familiar ways. It’s up to them to fight for what they want as Clare learns that you’re never truly ready…
Until you’re ready to risk it all.

This was the first book that I read by this author and I couldn’t put it down. Her writing style is superior and so well written. The way that she protrayed her characters was so real and we’ll thought out.
What a great story. This is a book about a widow who had lost the love of her life to an illness and by chance meets someone new. I so enjoyed this book! The charachers were fantastic and the way the author created their world of second chances was believable and a joy to read. I loved how the characters we’re down to earth and realistic in their expectations of life and love, experiences and not overly beaten down. It was a great read!
Emotional and itelligent writing with in depth character development in spades. A sweet story, the very escense of what love is, and a truly engaging plot that will not allow you put to this book down.
Such a great book, you’ll laugh, cry and feel right along with the characters. Defineatly worth reading… on my way to check out more books by J.L. Bergen.
Really great story – could really relate to characters and their situation Didn’t want story to end!!
Not what I expected. Was better than expected.
Truly Enjoyed This Book
predictable
Good story. Too much explicit sex.
It wasn’t bad, but kind of predictable. I guess it reminded me too much of one of those Hallmark movies. Some people love them, but I find them a bit hokey and syrupy.
Really liked it…the being scared to love again; finding the courage et al
I really wanted to like this book. It had a great basic story line of military widow gets home make over and falls in love with the remodel guy….but, the story seemed to start in the middle and never went back to the beginning or really recapped in a satisfactory way. Then each scene, especially any type of romantic interaction between the main …
