When We Met is Jo and Zac’s story. Talk about a meet cute! However, they were both extremely irritated. I loved all the banter when they were hating on each other. I also enjoyed their softer sides as they fall in love. I hope I do not have to “pick a favorite scene” from this one because it would be impossible. Once I started reading, I did not get mush else done until I got to the end. I am so glad there are more books to come!
Josephine Graham and Zac Dawson hated each other at first sight. Their two personalities clashed instantly. Of course it didn’t help that Jo crashed into Zac’s place of business. Or that he pressed charges that caused her to serve four weeks of community service at Zac’s Auto Repair. I found it hilarious the way Zac and Jo insulted each other and it only made them more stubborn. Then slowly Jo came to love the town, love Zac’s friends and family, and lastly Zac himself. I loved the cast of characters in this story. They were delightful and well fleshed out so you would recognize them as one of your own family and friends. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and witnessing Jo and Zac’s slow burn romance. Loved the HEA. I have read most of the books by this author and found each one of them greatly entertaining. l received this book as an ARC copy at no cost by this author and this is my honest review. I’m anxiously looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
I think this is my 8th book by CJ Marie and it’s definitely one of my favorites to date – which is not to say that I haven’t enjoyed the previous reads. This story has so many layers populated by unique and complex characters. All of this author’s characters are so well written, you can see them in your mind and you grow to know them as the story moves along. The main characters are complicated, complex and as you slowly get to know them, you are holding your breath, waiting for them to realize where they’re headed. There’s lots of humor – both subtle and laugh out loud, familiar characters introduced in earlier books who add so much depth to the story and a relationship that develops slowly but surely towards an HEA. All of these things make this excellent book well worth reading. I love this one. Highly recommend 🙂
Finding herself stuck in Hickville USA she has no idea what she’s in for and it wont get better if she doesn’t watch her mouth. It’s not her fault that the broody man pushes all her buttons. What starts off as an enemy of my enemy changes but she still has to leave. The chemistry between these two is felt from the start and with a few important obstacles this new group of friends may only be temporary. Great enemies to friends to lover’s book. This author has quickly become one of my go to authors for good clean excitement and action, while letting my imagination free with what goes on behind doors. Love this group of friends and the mother that keeps them all in line.
