Let me start by saying Tia Louise is absolutely amazing… When We Kiss is a sexy, heart throbbing, and amazing book.. I would recommend this book to anyone and I hope I find a man like Chad very soon…
4 Stars
When We Kiss is a sweet, humorous and fast paced small town romance. Tabitha and Chad are pretty much polar opposites. She’s a rule breaker and he enforces rules as the local law enforcement.
Tabith is a such a fun heroine. Growing up with the town’s eyes and expectations upon has Tabby embracing her rebellious ways. She’s sassy, feisty, passionate, stubborn and strong. The last thing she wants is further ties to the small town of Oceanside, even if he is hot as hell. She’s sick of being judged the irresponsible wild child, because she doesn’t live up to certain pious expectations. She has big dreams and ambitions to see the world.
Chad is all alpha. This sexy, former military man found the slower paced lifestyle he craved in Oceanside. He’s respectful, likeable, patient, kind and caring and although quite different to Tabby, he’s her perfect match, he just has to convince her.
The banter between this pair is witty, fun, flirtatious and full of humour. Their chemistry is intense, and full of heat, passion and steam.
I quite enjoyed this title and hope we see more of the characters of Oceanside in the future.
I absolutely loved the way Tia Louise brought the characters Tabitha (the wild child) and Chad (the Police Officer) together, they skirted round each other for a full year before anything happened between them, they just had this pull and instant zing that neither could deny. It is an addictive and entertaining read, the story was equal parts true love and hot sex with light banter and some true healing thrown to make it a #MustRead2018
I Love enemies to lovers books and I’m a big fan of this author!
Chad and Tabby had explosive chemistry!!!
The two characters have a kind of understanding of the other and picturing their story unfolding was amazingly beautiful. Lots of laughs, steamy time and full of tons of feels.
Highly recommend this book and author!
Loved this story of Chad and Tabby. After reading the first chapter, I can’t believe they waited a year before one was ready to make a move, but more gets revealed as to the why. The story isn’t told with flashbacks, but we do find out what our Hero and heroine were doing in the year they spent flirting with one another. I don’t know if I would classify this as an enemies to lovers trope, but definitely agree on the opposites attract. Loved the way their HEA played out!
4 Cranky Stars
When we Kiss is a story that is full of comedy, romance, and passion that will leave you wanting more!
Officer Chad Tucker is the local, by-the-books sheriff deputy. He hasn’t been in town for long, and is looking to settle down. Tabby Green is just the opposite; she is the “bad girl” of the town. She was raised by her uncle who is the local preacher, but definitely doesn’t follow his ways. She isn’t ready to settle down, and wants to travel the world.
Chad and Tabby fought their attraction for more than a year, but when they give in and finally kiss, they both realize everything is as it should be.
This story was so sweet. It has the small-town southern charm feel, while at the same time exploding with sexy scenes. I loved their back-and-forth banter and wittiness. Overall, a great story!
I loved this book so much! I sometimes feel like a broken record, but the small town with hot sheriff books are my favorite! Tia Louise is another new to me author and I can’t wait to go back and read her backlists!
Both Deputy Chad Tucker and Tabby Green are such awesome characters! Ever since her mother left her with her pastor uncle, Tabby has been trying to prove herself that she is not the Jezebel that the town has coined her as. Deputy Chad Tucker is the new deputy in town, he came on board after retiring from the military.
These two meet for the first time a year prior after Tabby is caught skinny dipping. Ever since then they have been circling each other. Tabby tells herself that she wants nothing to do with this straight-laced law enforcement officer, but Chad wants her. What ensues is some hot and steamy encounters. The chemistry between them are intense. And Tabby’s assumptions of Chad as a goody-goody is far from accurate. He’s actually pretty naughty, especially when those handcuffs come out! And what can I say about Andy!!!
There is a bit of angst in this story, both have some sadness in their lives that they needed to address and with Tabby’s wanderlust and wanting to get out of this town, it was tough for them for a bit. But it all worked out and it was just perfect. Now I need to go back and read Emberly and Jackson’s story!
Holy emotional rollercoaster ride!! This book really has it all!! I loved that even with the secrets and heartache there was still some laughs thrown in. I absolutely adored Tabby and Chat and loved every minute of their beautiful story!
When We Kiss is a sweet, smoking hot love story set in a small town with many ‘interesting’ characters. A place where everyone is everyone else’s business, so it is no secret when Chad and Tabby finally get together.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book. I wish I could give this book more starts five stars is not enough!!! Once I started I couldn’t put it down. Chemistry between Chad and Tabby was blazing hot. Tia Louise did a great job on this story. Make sure you grab your copy of this MUST READ ROMANCE.
I’d been waiting for this to release for a bit and was so glad to finally jump in. When we kiss is a cute, sexy little read. It is an enemies to lovers and opposites attract little gem. Tabitha Green is labeled the town “bad-girl” despite being Preacher Green’s niece. Chad Tucker is the resident sexy, town deputy who has his sights on taming said bad girl. With a fun mix of small town characters including, Betty, the town busy body and resident bible thumper, Tia Louise brings this witty small town romance that will have you giggling and your panties melting. Really enjoyed this read. It was a solid 3.5 stars!
I regularly buy (and read) a lot of new-to-me-authors. And while I’ve heard of Tia Louise obviously, it wasn’t until she collaborated with Ilsa Madden-Mills in The Last Guy that I had the pleasure of reading her work. That said, I enjoyed TLG so much that I have been one-clicking Tia Louise’s books whenever I see one that intrigues me. Since I now have like 7 or 8 on my kindle, you could accurately deduce that there is something about her blurbs and teasers that grabs my attention! Recently, I saw that blogger copies of When We Kiss were available, and I totally jumped all over the chance to read it. I can’t tell you how much I loved this book!
Tia Louise is very talented author and When We Kiss was absolutely a 5-Star read! I started smiling before the first chapter wrapped up and kept on doing so throughout the book. I loved Chad and Tabby – their chemistry was off the charts hot! The enemies-to-lovers/good cop vs bad girl theme made this book super sexy. Chad is naughty beneath his uniform and Tabby isn’t as much of the bad girl that everyone assumes she is. The sparks that fly off these two dang near set my kindle on fire! I literally could not put When We Kiss down until I finished it completely. It was a true pleasure to read a story that’s beautifully written, unpredictable, and easy to get lost in. When We Kiss is written in duel POV and the pace is perfect! You won’t be getting bored with this one for sure… if anything, you might need a cold shower I highly recommend that you buy this book asap!!! You can be assured that I will be devouring the books I already own that Tia Louise wrote and I will be social media stalking her for sure!
bad girl tabby green has the most awkward meet cute with chad tucker. she’s trespassing and skinny dipping with a minor, and he’s new to town and in uniform.
it’s a year later and the sting of embarrassment lingers, though chad only remembers how she looked getting out of that pool. he’s been fascinated by tabby since, and now that he’s settled into his role in the small beach town, he’s ready to let things get interesting with tabby.
both tabby and chad have baggage about their pasts, their parents, their upbringing. but there’s something about them that just clicks. and even though tabby keeps making the mistake of thinking that chad is too good to want a bad girl like her, he proves her wrong every chance he gets and in the most swoony ways.
this is an enjoyable read. and tabby and chad are characters you can’t help rooting for.
**when we kiss published on september 6, 2018. i received an advance reader copy courtesy of candi kane pr in exchange for my honest review.
This is small town romance at its best it has the perfect mix of passion and humour it has characters with sizzling chemistry and it has a whole lot of witty banter going on. Tia Louise has once again given us a sweet romance with just a hint of angst you will laugh you will scream and I can tell you that you will love WHEN WE KISS so you do need to one click this must read.
Tabby is a local bad girl well that’s what she likes to believe in reality she is just a bit naughty but that doesn’t stop her getting herself in trouble with local police officer Chad who only sees black and white, wrong and right and that means Tabby often finds herself on the wrong side of the man she loves to hate the man who sets her heart beating the man makes her princess parts tingle ……
Chad is experiencing small town life for the first time he moved a year ago wanting to leave his past behind and looking to start afresh and falling in love wasn’t on his agenda well that was before Tabby….
This is a great story with great characters and I don’t mean just Tabby and Chad the secondary characters all need their own stories (hope you are reading this Tia Louise). This book made me feel like I was home visiting family and friends I loved the feel of small town living that this author managed to describe in so much detail. Hope we get more from this group of friends.
This is an addictive and entertaining read from the very beginning. Tabby is a feisty, no filter bad girl, and Chad is the sexy ex military hero, and now deputy sheriff. These two are totally opposites in every way, yet together they are perfect. This is a beautifully written flawless story, which is filled with humour, and is a steamy hot read. I was totally captivated throughout, and I cannot wait to read more of this talented authors’ work, and I highly recommend for all readers who love a comedy story!
One of my favourites of 2018 – 6 star read for me!!
This is one of those stories that had me smiling from the first page to the last. Books like this are why I enjoy reading romance. Straight into my 2018 Favourites
Chad is book boyfriend perfection and Tabitha (Tabby) is my kind of heroine – smart, funny & full of sass. I loved that we got both POVs & that the characters were honest & less than perfect.
This small town story touches on some tough subjects but does it all in a way that has you nodding your head and cheering for the characters. Plenty of full on LOL moments, AMAZING chemistry and beautifully written dialogue made this a winner for me. Definitely recommend.
I was captivated by this addictive story right from the beginning. An opposites-attract romance that I didn’t want to end. The chemistry between Chad and Tabby is explosive; their attraction magnetic. From their very first encounter they are inexplicably drawn to one another. Try as they may to resist that magnetic pull they are powerless to stop the fall. Watching these two fall in love is magical. They share a deep connection and understand each other when most others don’t. They both have painful pasts and happily-ever-after is not something they’re looking for but they slowly surrender to love and start to believe. How they fight for one another is beautifully breathtaking. The storyline is very well-written and flowed seamlessly. The author captured the small-town vibe very well –the good and the bad. The dialogue had me swooning, crying and laughing. I could feel every emotion they experienced. Some scenes simply stole my breath. This story is sweet, funny, incredibly sexy, and breathtakingly romantic. I highly recommend reading this book.
When We Kiss puts the Rom in rom com! This book is so much fun. We have the not so bad “Bad” girl, Tabby. and the not so straight arrow Officer Chad and they may think that they are oil and water on the outside but as this story unfolds, they have a lot in common. This story takes place before When We Touch so you don’t need to read that story first but if you want to know about Tabby’s best friend Emberly and her second chance with the boy that broke her heart, I recommend reading that after if you haven’t read it. I cannot describe how happy Tabby and Chad’s story made me feel. It’s like reading a version of sexy cotton candy! It will make you smile, make you hungry for more and make you laugh at the thought of it. It’s told from dual POV and if you like small town romances, sexy police officers, feisty heroines and handcuffs, this is the book to read!
Tabitha is the “bad girl” of Oceanside Village and Chad is the local deputy. What happens when the deputy wants the bad girl?
They have a run in with each other when Tabby gets caught half naked at a pool and from that moment she is on Chad’s radar. Flash forward a year plus some and Chad still wants Tabby. He can’t stay away form her.
I couldn’t put this book. I absolutely loved Tabby and Chad. They would have me laughing one minute and then feeling frustrating the next. The chemistry between Tabby and Chad was perfection! Seriously, Chad may be everyone’s hot cop fantasy.
The secondary characters in this story were also fantastic and I hope that we get more of all of Oceanside in the future. Maybe even some more of Andy the Anaconda 😉
This is book will make you swoon, make you laugh and leave you feeling angry with the characters at times. It is the perfect story of the towns bad girl and the hot cop.
Rating: 4.5 Stars
Tabitha “Tabby” Green is a free spirit. As I get to know her, she seems to act like others expect her to. Plus she feels like she doesn’t deserve anything good that may come her way – that’s just sad. On the one hand she’s a business savvy woman but on the other I think she’s scared. Charles “Chad” Tucker is trying to come to terms with his past. And he hopes his job will help with that. He’s a man that just doesn’t want to give up. I’m glad that he wants to fight for his happiness.
The author has included a real cutie pie and she’ll steal both your heart and the scene. But the author knows just when she needs to rein her in because that would change the tone of the story. Her mother was both a good character and a good mother – I’m glad she was a friend to Tabby. When a character seems so real and at the same time touch your heart, you know that the author has done a good job. They take something fictitious and with the right creativity make something that could actually exist. She also created something that I didn’t want to put down. I had to know that Tabby’s world was going to be ok. And I get an ending that I thought was perfect for our couple.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
