One of my favorite Patterson books. His Maximum Ride series for teens is taken from this book and the sequel to it. A little twist of sci-fi, but totally believable.
This is a book I could not put down and when it was finished I was sorry. A very unusual story.
I’m sorry I stopped reading this book at chapter 12 because this story had too many things going on in it for me. I wasn’t sure if I was reading a crime or paranormal story which was confusing. It may be good for other people it just wasn’t for me.
I thoroughly enjoyed it and I couldn’t put it down until I was finished
Illegal human research has created avian children in this far-fetched but believable novel.
I got a copy of the book from a local Little Free Library but decided to listen to the audio version. I was stunned right away when a bird girl named Max appeared at the beginning of the story. Maximum Ride! From the Maximum Ride series I listened to years …
Awesome book
Patterson doesn’t normally write fantasy books but he proved his skills transcend multiple genres. terrific!
I thought it was a really good read, one I will go back to again and again.
Written when Patterson was a great story teller before he became an assembly line producer of book lite products.
I love James Patterson, but this was probably my least favorite of all of his works I have read. Not at all his normal. Very disappointed.
Like everything else James Patterson puts out, Great book. The first in the Genetically engineered flying kids series starring Max. Thoroughly entertaining, great characters, great plot, ending and a even better sequel to follow (IMO)
I read this one many years ago and it was one of the books that really got me hooked on Patterson
.
Wonderful book.
Early Patterson, much better than his writing today.
You just can’t go wrong reading a book by James Patterson. This one is a real page turner — don’t worry staying up late once in awhile is good for you….
