Interesting idea-poorly implemented. The writing is amateurish, the characters cardboard and the plot ludicrous. As it was available on Kindle prime, it cost me nothing which is what it was worth.
Poorly written. Unlikely outcome of water shortage.
A little too “big, bad government” for my tastes.
The book started out with an interesting premise. However, the plot was too simplistic and the ending too convenient. I had a hard time finishing the book.
I found it a bit deceptive and childishly written
The diminishing water levels in the southwest are not a secret but the political pundits act like it is. Most people who live in or near the ranching and farming areas know that there is less and less water to go around each year. There is less rain, less snow and more and more overuse of what water there is available. Pools, fountains, lawns, parks and canals in housing areas are just a few examples. This is a timely look at what could happen.
No I didn’t like it, didn’t finish the first chapter before I quit reading it
Decent idea for a story. Poor execution of the plot, the characters, the writing. Completely unrealistic plot. How many times can you use the word “whilst” in a book? One dimensional, simplistic characters in roles for complex people.
This was a good fictional representation of a potentially realistic situation in the future. Some of the situations were predictable and even silly but others really made me think of our future water crisis.
Author’s work accurately reflects the generally-under-appreciated value of water to the functioning of society.
In tune with the times!
As the need for water supplies dwindles in the US, I could see this happening very easily….though I hope it never does!
Scary subject, thought this was going to be less political and more survivalist, but interesting to think about whether Canada will give us water when we run out…
I could not understand the reason the hero wanted to stop water from being supplied to his fellow countrymen. Didn’t make sense to me.
Interesting tale about water shortage. War with Canada? Don’t think so!!!!!
Though the underlying premise is scary, the author’s far out plan to steal Canada’s water is problematic. I couldn’t believe the plot, that secrecy could be maintained at all, and that other solutions far less dangerous and formidable couldn’t have been found.
Great premise but amateurishly written. The characters are goofy enough to be real.
Sadly, it could happen. Worth the read
Entertaining read for when you can read for enjoyment
OUTSTANDING!
