Fiona O’Flaherty’s quiet California life is turned upside down when a killer cop starts stalking her. With the help of the Four Amigos—a group of retired law enforcement officers—she changes her identity and flees to a farm in rural Virginia. Much to her surprise her new roommate is a charming ghost who died in 1865.Even more amazing is the fact that Danann Farm is a mystical Irish village that … village that was transported to America in the early part of the nineteenth century. As a nurse she’s used to multi-tasking, but now she’s falling in love with a handsome spirit while also managing the restoration of a historic home. Not to forget that a serial killer is determined to kill her. What next? How about a pint-sized seer with special powers, a group of geriatric aunties managing the rumor mill, and an extended family ready, willing and able to protect the new mistress of the Magnolia House.
Fiona’s having quite an adventure, but like most magical tales this story will have a happy, if somewhat quirky ending.

Take The Ghost and Mrs. Muir, a home set amidst a community of mystical relatives, and add to that a serial killer and, voilà, you have the story of Rhys and Fiona in When The Magnolia Blooms. Cute read but did not much care for the ending.
Loved this book. It has excitement, adventure, drama, suspense, surprises, hot and so much more. Her life get turned inside out and upside down and then into a surprise thing. It is an amazing read. It had so much more than I expected in it. I hated to see it end. But I will definitely read it again. I received a review copy and voluntarily review it.
Wow! This book has a little of everything! Drama, mystery, secrets, mayhem, betrayal, murder, danger, surprises, a stalker, and a ghost! Evil stalks her, destroying her life and murdering many people! The four amigos have met their match in an evil genius who is determined to kill her! He is able to hide from them and find her, no matter how well hid she was! Nothing could save her, except a ghost, how is this possible? It deserves at least ten stars! The characters are awesome and so believable, the family is fantastic and the friends are truly wonderful. A little magic, a lot of love, and an exciting and entertaining adventure, is in store!
As the author states in the book blurb: quirky ending, indeed! Loved the ending. It had me speechless. Going back to the beginning, I really enjoyed this story and although I would recommend you read book one, it isn’t really necessary for the story of When the Magnolia Blooms, it just makes it interesting to know characters and to check in with them.
WtMB is about Fiona O’Flaherty, or Fi as her family calls her, and she has a huge problem: She has a stalker and he is a cop. This character will give you the creeps! Fi has a crazy journey to a family property where she hides out from this stalker. (REALLY simplified version of the book events.) She has help from a group of retired…let’s call ‘em high-level retired government…officials and extended family. And by family, I mean the crazy, lovable, interfering kind! She also gets to housesit a ghost from the Civil War era and he is a handsome rascal. Turns out, he loves TV, the Cooking Channel and Animal Planet.
What a wonderful story with fun, craziness, intrigue, bad guys and lots of good guys. Fi and her sisters are peas in a pod and they are really there for one another. And don’t get me started on the dogs… I can’t begin to describe the story to you, the author weaves a tale that has cousins and aunties and young psychics, a house remodel, and a ghost. I read it straight thru and was completely captivated. And the end; I never saw it coming. Highly recommend!
