***Disclaimer:*** The Veil Diaries is turning into New Adult from this book on. Which means I recommend the 18+ age group. Adult situations, graphic descriptions, and foul language will be in the books. My name is Alexis, Lexie to most everyone. And I’m a Necromancer. It’s not as much fun as it sounds but that’s not the problem this time. I haven’t seen anyone but Miles in the last month since … month since New Orleans. Talking on the phone? Yeah. Well, except for Zeke. A few text messages was all I’ve gotten. Until now.
We’re going on the guys’ yearly climbing and camping trip. With all of our secrets out, the tension between everyone is high. Everyone is pissed at each other and I’m just trying to keep my head above water.
But it’s time for a decision. Who am I going to be with? Will I end up with anyone? Will our family stay together?

This was fantastic!!! I love the direction the story is going. I love that Lexi never wavers, she is tenacity, spirit and sass and I love her for it. The guys, oh my god the guys… I’m just waiting to see what BL has in store for Miles and Zeke. She’s got Ethan, Isaac and Asher (omg Ash <3 <3 <3) all changing direction, and I can't wait to see where she takes them next. This was very much a character development book, with the most emphasis on their relationship. But, she set us up some amazing plot bunnies too, things that could really come back to haunt later. This series just keeps getting better and better!
I am a big fan and follower of this author so when I learned that this book will head to NA territory, I screamed my lungs off, jumps up and down like a cray-cray thinking of all those sexy, steamy, hot scenes I will get from my favorite characters. You can imagine me here sitting, shaking with so much agitation and endless amount of impatience for this book to drop.
Then the day came. Ehrmahgerd!
Feels. I have a lot of feels. All through out this book, I’m a whimpering, rolling-in-my-bed, squealing fangirl all over again. The author never fails to reduce me to a hormonal teenage girl with a serious feelings and hots to her five best friends. You cannot help but live and breathe this wonderful world that only this author can produce. Never have I ever felt a huge connection to a story, its main and secondary characters than I do with this series. Never have I ever felt the need to come up with theories/ possibilities and discuss it with my fellow readers. What’s more, this series will make you feel that you know them; their angst, feelings and thoughts in a personal level.
That is saying much but it’s the honest, glaring truth.
I will say that it was a roller coaster of emotions for me: I was pissed (somebody needs to lose that stick up their a**), major cursing (you will know when and I was dumbfounded), wanted to smack a certain guy’s head but in his defense he was undergoing a huge shift in his life (emphasis on shift, wink wink) and couldn’t be held responsible for interrupting something (boy you just did not! ugh!), hugely surprised/ shocked with the revelations (what the what?!), those silent moments with Zeke (awwww, my heart!), and oh, Jake is my new BFF.
I seriously don’t know what to do with myself until July, when book 8 hints on the relationship stage for the gang. You can bet this girl will restlessly count the days until then.
When the Dead Have it Easy is what I call the transitional stage book, the answers to questions that we needed to move on, & the relationships we needed to see. Wow, the author threw in some twists of her own to give this book an intense & emotional read! I cannot wait for book 8 this summer!
