My name is Alexis Delaney, and I’m your average 17-year-old girl. Except I’m a Necromancer. Which means I can see the dead, talk to them and help them move on. Well, I used to be able to. Someone as sealed the Veil. Now the dead are stuck here. And with the extra energy floating around town, the ghosts are getting stronger. It’s been two months since I came to Spring Mountain to live with Uncle … live with Uncle Rory. And the guys, my five best friends, have done everything they can to help since. Things for once are almost normal, my issues with the dead had become routine. Until they all found girlfriends. Now I’m back to hiding everything again. With ghosts leaving their haunting grounds at will, and new people asking questions, I don’t know how the hell I’m going to pull this one off. But it can’t get that bad, right?

This series is a gem. The characters are realistic and wonderful. This is a serious page turner!
Second installement in this series….
Lexie and her best boy friends are back…with some additions… a gaggle of bitchy girlfriends and one pretty cool girl..
So let’s talk about the girlfriends… I’m not mad the boys have hooked up… their in school and 17 and without her knowledge the boys decided to not act in any feelings for Lexie… and Lexie herself got a boyfriend…yeah he’s a bit of a whiplash boyfriend in that he’s all stop and go and stop… I think I would have just passed ( if I were Lexie )
Anyway back to the girlfriends… yes they were bitches but I’m gonna look at this from a rational point of view… there is this girl.. with 5 males friends who drop everything for her.. call her really cringeworthy sappy nicknames ( which she returns in her own special way ) and they all hug and snuggle and strip of memes infront of each other…oh hang in that’s just Lexie! My bad… so what red blooded woman would be insecure about the power or hold this girl has over her boyfriend… yeah maybe I’m reading to much into this or being to ‘level headed’ but I felt a tad for those girls… they weren’t their boyfriends priorities so I understand the bitchiness… don’t lynch me… I understand.. I do not condone and Trisha got what she deserved…
So PNR wise this story is a slow burn too…in that Lexie is trying to complete the arduous task of making a bridge to the damaged veil… the space a soul passes through to reach heaven or hell… and is also being tag teamed by angry ghosts.. but she’s developing her skills and powers.. whilst giving herself a physical and mental beat down..The ultra slow burn continues… with a couple of sparks taking flame..
Now I have a confession to make… im not sure if I mentioned before ( or in any other reviews ) but I am NOT a fan of YA… the drama over nothing, the somewhat tstl characters the ‘teenage’ vibes is not a thing of mine at all… and neither is YA RH that is super slow burn… SO WHAT THE HELL AM I DOING READINGG THIS SERIES???
because I’ve been sucked in deep and I’m actually really really enjoying it… the story is a bit drama filled and ‘day to day’ BUT I’m kinda loving it…yes honestly… this series has surprised the shit out of me how much I’m enjoying it, and it’s a testament to the authors wordsmith skills….( I commend Lexie’s dedication to boot cut jeans ) .. I like the guys characters and their group and individual interactions with Lexie.. so I’m gonna continue to read…. and enjoy!
Lexi continues to grow in her relationships with the guys. The Christmas scene is one of my favorite scenes and I love Hades. Lexi learns more about her guys. They all have some broken edges, but the love and caring they have for each other is awesome.
