This series is amazing!! I don’t normally read PNR either but the Blackest Gold series is irresistible! I needed Beau and Lex’s book for….forever!! So hot and the chemistry is off the charts. Even if you don’t like PNR normally, read this! You won’t be disappointed.
Lex and Beau are probably the most convulated and tortured pair to have ever come together. He has literally had his heart ripped out and she has lived most of her life enduring the worst kinds of torture.
You would believe that love, redemption and happiness for such creatures is practically impossible. But joke’s on you because R. Scarlett is the genius that made love happen for two characters who were too far consumed by their pain.
I knew Lex and Beau’s journey would be filled with raw agony and too much was there to be resolved before they could have a happily ever after. I cried for these two poor babies who deserved all the love in this World. I wish I could dole out all the deets but theirs is a journey that you need to dive in head first so you could experience it it the best possible way.
I love love love Lex. She is such a strong and resilient character that you can’t help but admire her and her strength. And the fact that she never gave up on her loved ones and was ready to go to the ends of this Earth just made you adore her that much more.
Beau, oh my poor sweet dark souled man!!!! I cannot tell you in appropriate words how much I freaking LOVE Beau. He is broken beyond repair, he has been lonely and despaired but GODDAMN IT he is still so pure and caring and loving. *ugly crying* All, I wanted was for him to finally fall in love, get his heart back and make cute little demon babies with Lex. I am so so happy the way R. Scarlett did justice to his story.
Guys, I have come to the conclusion that no one bloody writes PNR like R. Scarlett. One moment you are like oh this is nice and the next moment it’s like OH GOD STOP THE HURT! She is a sorceress who will make you fall in love with her words and you’ll be helpless. IT’S THE BEST THING!!!
WHOA!! HOLY MOLY!! First off…R. Scarlett is a First time AUTHOR for me and She BLEW ME AWAY WITH When Sinners Kneel!! So Beautifully Mysteriously Dark and Perfection at its Best in the Paranormal World. Beau and Lex’s storytelling is So Intense with Chemistry Off the Charts between a Incubus & an Souleater!
Alexandria Harvey aka Lex had to lived her Life hard at a very Young age of 11 years old on her own after her father died since her mom left them. She learned to Survive the best she knew how even if doing things were not legally done. Lex is a Head Strong, Stubborn and Naïve Souleater.
Beau Knight being a son of a Dux but became a Heartless Demon Incubus. He is paying the price of his mistakes and continues to be in a Poisonous state of mind which he knows his soul is Toxic.
There is so much Emotional torment, sexual tension, dangerous events and activities going on between the two characters journeys into their Lives. Not to mention in their Minds as well. The minute you start reading this Marvelous Book, You CANNOT PUT it down and Instantly wanna know what is going to happen next!
If you are a First time Reader to Author R. Scarlett like Me then Start with When Sinners Kneel since it can be read as a Standalone. This is a Definitely MUST READ BOOK!!
Beau is even yummier than I initially could have ever imagined, and Lex is oh so fabulous.
This book is everything. Beau and Lex have a complex relationship, and have many obstacles to overcome. I was so happy that despite it being the fifth R. Scarlett book I’ve read within a week, it was still fresh and original. One thing I despise about romance series, sometimes, is the copy paste of the story; the same story repeated with different characters every time. I was so happy that Beau and Lex’s hardships were completely different from Tensley and Molly’s. That it wasn’t the dreaded copy/paste, but a whole new story.
Again with this book, Scarlett broadens the Blackest Gold world, and introduces us to other aspects of it. Never ceases to teach us something new about her world; to reveal another dimension of it.
Scarlett’s writing is phenomenal. It flows beautifully, and makes you feel such strong emotions. She transports you into her universe. I have never done so much highlighting in a book before. Every single line was gold. The blackest gold… *smirk*
AWWW you get a little glimpse of Beau in the other books and I am sooooo happy we get his and Lex’s story.
Rebecca my dear you have done it again!!! I was almost injured, well not really but could have been, as I was reading this delicious book while walking on the treadmill at the gym. This had my emotions running all over the board with the moments I wanted to kick some butt or crying a bad ugly cry.
“A thousand times I have sinned. But this sin-this sin between us, Alexandra, is the only sin I ever committed for the right reasons.”
Beau can may you sin over and over again. The demon with no heart because of his past of breaking the one rule of the demon world, DO NOT FALL IN LOVE! AWWWW Beau has become one of my favorite BBF to date and that list is not too long.
Lex is a souleater who had to grow us and survive really young. The chemistry the these 2 have is HAWT and they both try to deny what is happening.
This author has become one of my go to and will definitely read all of her books in the future. I am and will be a forever fan.
5 “Sin for me” Stars
I had never given Paranormal Romance a chance, until I met R. Scarlett. And she created this world, this well-constructed universe where demons are attractive and captivate you to a point where you want to know more and more about them.
When I reading the story of Tensley and Molly I got a lot of questions about his brother Beau. The heartless beast.
And I thought in that moment he deserved his happy ending, for everything that happened and suffered.
Well, Rebecca didn’t disappoint us. She gave us a unique, intriguing, exciting and incredible story.
The writing is amazing. It’s one of the best book series I’ve read.
I quickly became so immersed in this perfect story where Fall in love it’s dangerous but somehow she created a perfect match for Beau, he and Lex they just meant for one another.
I haven’t put down the book since hit my kindle. I just kept reading ’cause I just couldn’t wait to see what happened next.
Highly recommended. It’s a book that had me hooked right from the beginning and I know you can enjoy it as much as I do.
Beau Knight.. enough said. I’ve been desperately wanting more since we got small glimpses of him in Molly and Tensley’s story. Who would of guessed it was “little Lex” who made the sinner kneel. Beau and Lex’s story was really hot, raw, and intense.. constantly biting my nails with what was to come. I would of never thought Beau would of loved again, he was changed by the end of the story and I loved all the push Lex kept giving Beau. The incubi and soul eater together, magnificent story line, beautiful writing, and i’m kind of sad that their story is over. A happy ending to a sinner’s story.
This book is dark, sexy and emotional! I’m was not a big fan of Paranormal reads but R. Scarlett changed that for me. Ever since the Blackest Gold first book I was hooked. This books take you to a different world, demons, warlocks, souleaters, hunters, underworld life and all set in New York. It keeps you hooked to your seat, turning pages so fast just to know what is coming next.
Beaus and Lex story is of pain, hardship, darkness and love.
Two completely broken people that fight to the end.
They are each other drug in a world of sinners, They are each other salvation in a world of chaos.
This story is just beautiful, well written and with twists and turns. Also you get a glimpse of past characters from the 1st book Vein of Love. I merged my self in a world of demons and I didn’t want to leave.
5 amazing starts
I read an Advance Readers copy and this is my honest opinion.
I have been dying for Beau Knight since I first met him in the Blackest Gold Series and When Sinners Kneel exceeded my expectations and is by far my favorite book of 2018! I loved Tensley and his beast but he has been pushed to the number two spot because Beau was The BEAST! I loved him so much. His dominance, his darkness, his sexy Beast! Yes please! I loved Lex, she was strong and stubborn but also a fighter. Beau and Lex were incredible together. They had amazing chemistry and with the soul eater and incubus aspect, it really is scorching! I also loved that they had a connection with their souls. They are my favorite couple!! I was so consumed by this book, I wish there was more! This is definitely a must read!
When Sinners Kneel
by R. Scarlett
Ok, Beau…
Where do I begin?
He was so mysterious to us all in Tensleys stories. Almost freighting.
So naturally, that left most of us eager for more.
Scarlett was referred to me by a blogger buddy and I have yet to find any of her work under 5 stars.
When Sinners Kneel stayed true to her form.
Total Demon stars
Not sure where Scarlett would take Beaus Story but it was painted in a beautiful light that left my heart feeling so many different things.
I longed for his understanding.
I begged for a resolution that suited him.
I sent silent prayers that he would find his way.
He was everything anyone could ever want.
His dominance was like none other. But his heart stood just as tall.
The connection between Beau and Lex was a rapid growing fire that nothing could extinguish. I could feel the pull of it from every single word I read. True perfection…..
Lex was a rockstar character for me too. She really intrigued me before and her story took on so much more than I could have ever expected. I mean, that woman is a fighter!
So all in all- this book cannot go unread. If you are not familiar with the fire that is Ms Scarlett, go now.
Beau will stay with me for awhile. I almost feel sad I can’t read more of him tomorrow. I mean, who will compare to that sexy demon?
Happy Reading Peeps,
Nic
