I am alone in rural Colorado, but I can’t escape my past. When Leah Gibson dies, and her husband and daughter disappear, I cannot run anymore. Who murdered her, and why? What secrets did she hide?As I search for a killer, my own secrets will be exposed, and I may lose all I have left.
This stand alone novel is dark and suspenseful. Perfectly paced, as usual, the characters develop as the story progresses. ‘What’s Yours Is Mine’ is a departure from the Reed Ferguson and even the Dewey Webb mystery series which I love. While the Ferguson and Webb books are G rated, I would rate this one a PG. There is profanity and violence, which some might object to, however, the language is courser to fit some of the characters. What I liked best is the true-to-life depiction that choices have consequences. This is not a fairy tale. If you like twists and turns, and holding your breath until the last page, this book is for you.
Quite a departure from the books I am used to reading by Ms. Pawlish, but an excellent one that I hope will continue. This story was gripping from the start and the twists it took were just the perfect amount to keep a person reading all night long. New characters, a very new problem and a slightly different way of telling the story. All this culminated in a great book that I would definitely recommend.
What’s Yours is Mine by Renee Pawlish is not her usual detective story. Written in flashback style, the secrets are revealed amid lots of twists and turns. Well developed characters. Enjoyable read. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I have been a fan of Renee Pawlish since reading the first book in the Reed Ferguson series (which I highly recommend). This book is much different than that series as well as the Dewy Webb series. Both of those are detectives with great plots and wonderful characters. This is a stand alone book that is dark, suspenseful and difficult to put down. It is told from different points of view and is a cautionary tale of the web lies can weave and the consequences of getting caught in that dangerous web. I highly recommend this book
This book is a little different from her other books. It grabbed me from the beginning and I really enjoyed the story. I look forward to more books like this.
I have enjoyed many of Renee’s books. They are usually about a detective in Denver. Well…this book isn’t even close to those books! This book is more ‘gritty’ and intense scenes in my opinion and I LOVE IT!!! What’s Yours Is Mine is a story that has a history to it and the history between some of the people are not nice! I hope there are more stories like this one from Renee. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
I was lucky enough to have gotten a ARC copy of this book from the author. I am volunteering to leave this review. Great book plenty twist and turns this book will definitely have you reading on the edge of your seat.
What’s Yours is Mine, my thirty-seventh read from author Renee Pawlish. I read this book in a matter of hours (work got in the way or I’d have taken less time)! Yeah, it is that good! A new Renee Pawlish book is like a visit from an old friend and guarantees an entertaining read. This time she branches away from her successful detective genre and absolutely crushes this it. I received an advance reader copy of this book from the author. Great characters, great story line, a must read! (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 – July 24, 2018).
Not my favorite, hoping for a happy ending.
I have read all of Renee Pawlish ‘s books, this is one of her best. Keeps you in suspense and wanting for more. A surprise ending on top of it. Highly recommend reading this book, full of new characters and plot twists.
