I would like to read more of her works
I have really enjoyed every book I have read by Adele Clee and this was no exception! Prepare to be fully captured by this story and unable to stop reading until the very end. Tristan Wells and Isabella Reid were in love and planning to be married until Circumstances and help from outside forces pulled them apart. Tristan left for France to work for the crown while Isabelle married quickly to a gentleman to spite Tristan for what she thought was abandonment. Unfortunately her husband was not the man she thought and she endured until his suspicious death. Tristan returns home due to the death of his older brother and runs into Isabella. Desperate to find aid in solving who murdered her husband and has been trying to scare her she asks for his help. Can two people come back together after so many years? Things are not as they seem and mystery, intrigue and suspicion run rampant. I loved Tristan and Isabelle and their journey to solve the mystery and try to find what was lost. Thank you Adele Clee!
Tristan and Isabella elope, are caught after one passionate night, are returned home, and Isabella is promptly married off the an older man, Lord Fernall. Tristan spends five years in France and only returns to England upon his brother’s death. So of course Tristan and Isabella meet, get back together and live happily ever after. But not until they’ve confronted some ghosts and solved a murder.
A very enlightening story full of hope and joy. Difficult secret circumstances evolve into revelations of love and understanding. The story has stirring love moments and plots to unravel. Vibrant atmosphere. A delight to read.
Enjoyable read
I enjoyed these characters immensely! The author took care to give us a real sense of the feelings each character had not only for each other but for the way they viewed life. You truly feel like you have been friends with these people for years and I found myself laughing and crying and hoping right along with the characters. Can’t wait to read more from this author!
This story offers so much but above all it is a beautifully written second chances tale with a difference.
We meet up again with Tristan (who featured for a while in book 2) and he is sought out by Isabella, the love of his life from 5 years before, but who had married another man. She is now desperate for his help.
You will read of various unexplained deaths, a cunningly and rather mad person, a bitter mother who insists on meddling in her son’s love life and some very strange happenings and situations in Isabella’s life.
These and a delightful and heartwarming love story make this story a page turner which had me reading, ‘just another paragraph before I have to go and……’, and so it went from paragraph to paragraph!
I really hope you choose to read it too for I don’t think you will be disappointed.
