Laura and Arizona continue their immortal detective series with Lucy in over her head with each clue she discovers. Read who she handles it all. Even the illegal slave in her kitchen.

This is the second book in the “Vampire Detective” series and we see Lucy dealing with an illegal blood slave in her kitchen from the end of the first book. With a lot of mystery, action and suspense, we see how Lucy’s research has led her on an unexpected path. While engaged to William, she also wants to explore her relationship with Derek and Watson a bit more. This was a quick and easy to read story and the storyline is well crafted, intriguing, thrilling with some drama and plenty of steam. The characters are defined and sympathetic with blistering chemistry. I liked it. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

i love laura greenwoods books. i read all three books in the series, one right after the other, they arent very long books, but together they make a good story. lucy is a bit on the dingy side and she is a rich vampire who loves william and is sortaq enagad to him ,but there ius an oldchildhood friend that resufaces and the sexy vampie inventer all aspiring towin her affections. I lioked the male characters very much, there is a blood slave ring and other mysteries to solve.
i recommend reading all three books together like i did for the best experiece. sorry for no punctuation. broke arm.

This is the continuation from the first book in the series. Lucy is definitely one busy vampire. She has feelings for 3 different men all in a different way. Along with trying to figure out the mystery of the watch, she’s got a living room full of presents – not from her “fiancée” and not from the other 2 men in her life. All I have to say is Lucy is not that good of a PI! She does however, make this story worth reading as she has all these adventures (or misadventures!).
I cannot wait to read the next book in the series to see what happens. Another great story and the characters are great! I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a free copy through Booksprout ARC’s for an honest review.
The Plot Thickens…
While Lucy confirms Watson as one of her “beaus” and accepts Williams proposal, there’s something afoul in vampire society. It’s a slow build for both the romantic storyline and the mystery storyline, with a lot of different parts at play. I’m enjoying the tension (I hope it pays off!) and I can’t wait for the conclusion in ‘Fangs For All.’
This is an amazing paranormal romance/mystery! I loved it.. The mystery is clever and interesting, and the characters are fun and unique..

Ever since I read the first book in this series, I just wanted to read on. The first book was so amusing and the characters were so funny and lovely and perfect. However, I had a few other books to read first. Today was the time though. I could finally reunite with Lucy and her guys. And once I finished this book I was almost tempted to read the last book in the trilogy too, but I didn’t do it. Mostly because then I wouldn’t be able anymore to write a review of the second book.
Yes, the mystery is not the most prominent part in this book. But for some reason I don’t really mind that because everything else is so entertaining and funny and touching. And, maybe secretly there are quite a few more things related to the mystery than we think right now. I love however how we did get a few new pieces and how those pieces show us a part of vampire society that was not exactly pretty. Lets say that it’s really getting interesting right now!
What does steal the show? The romance and the characters! Lucy is the kind of person who simply can’t just love one man (I totally understand that) and I really enjoy how William is giving her the time and room to explore those feelings and what can be with those other guys. Which doesn’t mean that Lucy can just do everything she wants. Their relationship, and commitment, works, because William really wants Lucy to communicate about it, which means she’s also learning how to communicate in general when it comes to her feelings.
However, in this book Watson stands out the most. I don’t know what it is, but something about him is so endearing and charming and playful. It’s like the entire world gets a little brighter when he’s in the scene. Which doesn’t mean I love the other two guys any less, because I don’t. William is really charming, open minded and respectful. And Derek is just the kind of boy next door with nerdy hobbies I could so fall in love with.
If the review copy for the book that releases on Monday doesn’t arrive in the next 45 minutes, I know what I’m reading tomorrow. The last book in this trilogy!
Lucy, Derek, Watt and William are at it again.. bumbling around each other trying to find where each other fits. Lucy finds a blood slave in her room and is soooooooooo not happy about it! William can only explain it away as him being drunk when he did it. He did it to out do the presents that are being sent to Lucy’s house. They finally open the boxes and it becomes a clue to a new mystery. Lucy and Derek’s first date is a disaster and Mika the blood slave is having a adverse effect on Lucy. Watson and Lucy have an outing and lines begin to blur with them also. Lucy find herself in a pickle, not sure how to figure things out with the guys and she finds herself on unsteady footing where they’re concerned. The packages lead to a clue at a bridal shop, where she ends up trying on a dress and finds a clue in the pocket of one. Now she has 2 wedding dresses and another clue but not really sure what the clues are too. See keeps following the clues and getting more connected to her guys. The end of the clues leads to an auction, but not like she expected, and boy does that open a can of worms!!! On to book 3 where we hopefully find out what the fang is going on!

A lot of things in this book seemed to get solved very quickly, almost in a rush. The writing is pretty good though.

Second book about Lucy the vampire PI.
Next to Lucy there are also William her fiancé, Derrek the inventor who wants to date her and Watson her childhood friend present in this story.
Lucy finally opens the packages she thought Derrek sends her, but he didn’t. So no she has a clue and a new mystery which brings her to a shop with bride dresses, leaving with a dress and a new clue.
Which brings her into the path of vampires and a trade she didn’t know it existed.
“What the Fangs” is the second book in “The Vampire Detective” series by Laura Greenwood, a paranormal romance harem serious set in the author’s “Twins Souls Universe”.
Lucinda Corentine (Lucy), highborn vampire P.I. last investigation provided her with an unexpected asset, a ravenous illegal slave, lusting for blood in her kitchen, a new addiction to the list of ‘troubles’ to take care of. First fiancé; second school nemesis rival P.I; third eccentric inventor, fourth the aforementioned vampire slave. The order may differ, but the ‘troubles’ remain fourth, and she still has to deal with the vampire underworld… no rest for the wicked, because yes, Lucy is wicked, in her own special way
Lucinda and William have come to an understanding. Jester seems like he likes William, Derek and even Watson more than Lucy. Mika, her blood slave, is weird. She is not like any Lucy has ever seen. At least she has all three guys helping her on the mysteries she’s working on. Find out what’s up the the watch she was hired to find and who keeps sending her stuff. I like that she’s learning how to stand up to her mother finally. Baby steps. I liked the humor and snark she brings to the world. I do recommend this book.
What The Fangs by Arizona Tape and Laura Greenwood is a paranormal mystery that I listened to on audio narrated by Susan Greenway.
I absolutely love when Arizona and Laura write together! This story was so much fun to read. I loved that they had Lucy go to Dragon Soul to tie in the characters from Torn Soul. I really like Lucy and can’t wait for Fangs For All to be released on audible to get more of her story.
Susan did an amazing job on the narration. I absolutely love her voice and thought it was perfect for Lucy’s character.
I would highly recommend this book if you love paranormal mystery’s, paranormal romance, or slow burn reverse harems.
This is a quick and easy read. The storyline is well-crafted, intriguing, suspenseful, has drama and steam. The characters are defined, and likable with sizzling chemistry. I liked it.

What the Fangs by Laura Greenwood and Arizona Tape is the second book in The Vampire Detective series. In this book, Lucy the vampire detective is trying to decide which of the men in her life she wants to date. Also, she is continually receiving presents that are sent by an unknown sender. This story involves a mystery to solve and lots of men to romance. I love the character of Lucy because she is such a relatable character. This is the perfect romantic read for any paranormal mystery lover. What the Fangs is an enthralling vampire mystery romance.
This book was hard to put down. Had me pulled in from the beginning. The story and characters are well written and keeps you interested. I recommend reading.

More Mystery and Mayhem
Here we are, in the second book in the Vampire Detective series. Things are starting to steam up, but at the same time, it’s not just Lucy’s love life that is getting complicated.
They still haven’t worked out the mystery of the cat, or of the blood slave that appeared in Lucy’s bedroom. Plus, it appears that vampire society would rather stick to their traditions, no matter how unsavoury. If it wasn’t for her men, Lucy would be finding herself becoming more and more isolated from “polite” vampire society. At least she’s not the only one finding certain practices distasteful.
All in all, a great sequel, although the “blind” side of the main characters is starting to get frustrating. I am hoping that all will be resolved soon!
Final rating: – Really liked
This second installment in the series took me longer to get into than the first, but overall I really enjoyed this book. This continuing adventure of Lucy, William and Derek adds Watson and Mika to the mix. There were some surprises for the reader and some for Lucy as well. While definitely quirky, it does end on a cliffhanger. My biggest complaint is the constant marketing of Laura Greenwood and Arizona Tape at the end. The story stopped at 85% and for such a short book it was really annoying.
I received a free copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
This emotionally thrilling journey begins where the last one left off and is filled with dangerous enemies, thrilling charters, witty banter, heart racing twits and unexpected turns that will leave you breathless and wanting more…..Exciting reading from beginning to end and I am looking forward to more!
Lucy seems stuck – too many lethal foes and unexpected challenges and changes.
She seems caught in one mess after another, with new tangled around every corner.
Action packed adventure!
