A suspicious fire leaves an Amish bachelor dead, an innocent suspect in police custody, and Bishop Henry Lapp holding the possible key to unlocking the mystery. But will Henry trust God enough to use his extraordinary talent to help solve the case?
Very spiritually uplifting and with suspense, murder and crime with other things thrown in. The eternal truths were inspirational and unexpected at the same time. I’d recommend this book.

I found this so different than your typical Amish read. I think it made me rethink my view (in a good way) The book flowed but still kept you guessing. Highly recommend

I enjoy stories about the Amish. I wouldn’t want to live that life but I admire those who do. This book introduces a widowed bishop with an unusual gift to draw whatever he has seen.
The arson investigator was presented as very narrow minded and unsympathetic. The interaction between the bishop and the investigator was interesting.

Vannetta Chapman writes Inspirational Romance usually about the Amish. This book also has suspense, murder and there’s a special gift that the Bishop has. He’s hesitant about sharing it but the gift will help find the killer. I’ve read most of Vannetta Chapman’s books and she always keeps my interest. Her characters have their flaws, moments where some can touch your heart and I highly recommend this book. Looking forward to more in this series.

A fire breaks out and a Amish man Vernon Frey is found dead. The fire department tells Bishop Henry Lapp that the fire was not a accident but it was set. When a man is accused of the fire Bishop Henry Lapp knows that the man is innocent and uses his gift from God to prove it. Bishop Lapp has the power that he can draw and see the accident. As more fires happen the Amish is afraid and some choice to move. This books keeps you wondering who is starting the fires and why are they doing it. A story of Faith and Love and forgiveness.
