Another great book by Kait. Her characters just draw you in and make you want to have them as friends. Very little was known about Sebastian before this book. Loved seeing the development and the introduction of Laurel; she is so strong and determined. The ending was my favorite. Go read it!

this book has romance in spades, well worth the second read. Loved the cross over with the characters from the Misfit Inn

I love how we get to see characters from the first book in this series but also characters from other series by this author. Laurel and Sebastian both have things they struggle with and want to handle in a productive way. There was definitely chemistry between these two.Her parents were UGH until they weren’t. Ari is still adorable and so hoping she gets her own book – but when she is older. Loved the ending.

I was blown away by the chemistry Sebastian and Laurel have. From the moment they met it was an instant connection, the kind most people dream about.
To find a man that will stand up for you, reliable, and honest was everything Laurel didn’t realize she needed. Sebastian gets completely blown away by Laurel, she everything he never expected.
This book was such a great read. Beautifully written, 5 stars all the way. An amazing addition to a great series, I loved reading about past characters. Can’t wait for more.
Engaging story. Relatable characters
I truly want to live in the towns that Kait Nolan writes about. Laurel is feeling pressure from her family on the direction of her future. Sebastian has found peace and sanctuary taking care of the horses at Logan’s farm. The two are in different places in their lives, but their connection is undeniable from their first meeting. Neither have had much reason to trust others and their story shows how difficult that is to overcome. The book gave me all kinds of warm and fuzzies! I can’t wait for the next book that brings us back to Eden’s Ridge! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I love this story! It’s an excellent one to read. I learned alot about horses with this one too. Once you start reading, you can’t stop. Oh, and there’s some funny parts in it too. I definitely recommend this book to all romance lovers.

If you are a fan of Kait Nolan, you will love this book. If you are a fan of the Misfit Inn series, you will love this book. If you are a fan of her crossover series with Baby, It’s Cold Outside, you will love this book. (Are you sensing a theme?) It is the weekend of Logan’s and Athena’s wedding (from Stay a Little Longer) and the gang from Eden’s Ridge are all invited. This will of course include Logan’s sister, Laurel and his friend/horse trainer living on his ranch, Sebastian. Laurel is in her last year of law school and about to embark in a career she’s been groomed for since childhood. But seeing how happy her brother is – living a quiet life as a farmer in the hills of Tennessee, is causing her to have second thoughts. Logan has finally found some purpose to his life after leaving the military. Rescuing horses and bring them back to health is rewarding but is it enough for a smart, driven, and beautiful woman like Laurel? As Sebastian and Laurel develop their friendship, they both begin the question their life’s goals as well as their feeling for each other.
Being a fan of small town romance stories, I thoroughly enjoyed the appearance of so many of the characters from the Misfit Inn and Nolan’s crossover series. Ari’s matchmaking skills are at play again, Ivy’s profiling is back, and Athena is cooking up a storm. Eden’s Ridge, TN is a place you’ll want to visit again and again!
4.5 start. Another beautiful love story by Kait Nolan! The characters are great, and it’s wonderful to see Sebastian find happiness after meeting him and learning a bit about his troubled past in the previous book in this series. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is that it seems a bit unbelievable that Laurel and Sebastian immediately understand each other perfectly when they only just met, and are both able to perfectly articulate how they feel and how they read each other’s minds. That just doesn’t strike me as realistic. It takes a while to get to know someone that well!! And some people NEVER learn how to articulate their feelings! Ha! But it was a very enjoyable read, and as always, I’m looking forward to the next one!

Absolutely loved this book! I want a Sebastian!!! This is definitely top three favorite of all of Kait Nolan’s books. You can’t go wrong work this one! The chemistry and sass between Sebastian and Laurel makes this a really fun book to read. It’s got it all: horses, romance, suspense and family drama! Highly recommend!

There’s just something about men who work the land… rugged, salt-of-the-earth, and not afraid to get their hands dirty. Cue swoon. Sebastian Donnelly is all this and more. Add in introspective and intuitive and you’ve got yourself the perfect man. Laurel Maxwell rolls into town for her brother Logan’s wedding. She’s in her last year of law school with one semester left and on the fast track to being hired by the best of the best law firms. Only she feels nothing but anxiety and panic at the thought of working 80-hour weeks.
Laurel and Sebastian meet during Logan’s wedding weekend. He’s a stranger to her yet he’s the only one who notices her panic and only he is able to calm her down. As they get to know each other, Laurel and Sebastian make one another delve deep into dreams and futures. They ask each other the hard questions.
I fell in love with Laurel and Sebastian the very first time he sought her out to check on her. And while I knew that they would have their happily ever after (come on, it’s a Kait book), their journey from first sight to forever in love isn’t a smooth and linear ride. So much of their personal dilemmas were so relatable… who hasn’t struggled with accepting a job or wanting to expand a current operation? Who hasn’t wanted to please a parent and worry about disappointing them? These two characters are as different as night and day on the outside, but their inner struggles are similar. You want to read this book!
Kait Nolan, ‘What I Like About You’: a Rescue my Heart novel.
As an ARC reader I received this book for free. And promised an honest review. Here it is. English isn’t my first language. Sorry for errors.
Rating: 4,5 stars (of 5).
In general: ex Ranger and talented lawyer find love.
Leading characters:
– Sebastian Donelly.
He’s an ex Ranger. After leaving the Army a few years ago with a broken spirit he had some jobs which couldn’t hold his interest because he kept feeling useless. But with the help of Logan Maxwell (organic farmer and a friend of a friend) he became a talented ‘horse whisperer’ in Eden’s Ridge, Tenessee, saving neglected horses.
– Laurel Maxwell.
She’s Logan’s intelligent ‘little’ sister. In a few months she will complete her law study in Nashville and she already had a generous offer for a job with a prestigious law firm in that city. But is that what she really wants?
Laurel and Sebastian meet as bridesmaid and groomsman at the rehearsal of Logan’s (and Athena’s) wedding. And there’s a lot of mutual attraction. But they have to overcome many hurdles before the HEA.
The author, Kait Nolan, specialized in charming, sweet small southern towns romances, did it again. Wonderful, credible characters; sweet love scenes; nice descriptions of living on a horse farm surrounded by a beautiful nature and intriguing family relationships make the book an easy to read page turner. Not a very original plot, but for me a pleasure to read.

Really enjoyed Sebastian and Laurel’s story. This has all the things you love about Kait Nolan books. Small-town, heart, fun, family, friends and a little heat. Love you also get more insight on characters from previous books. That is a bonus and is definitely a stand alone.

Sebastian, a retired Army Ranger, is talented at working with rescue horses, but he avoids people as much as possible. That is until he is drawn to Laurel and wants to help her with her anxiety. With only one more semester in law school left and a New York job in her future, Laurel isn’t sure if that is the future that she wants left. Laurel struggles with her family’s expectations versus her own needs. Staying at her brother’s farm and working with Sebastian is giving Laurel a chance to find her own path and to get to know Sebastian better. I received a free copy of this book from the author through Bookspout. This is my honest and voluntarily given review. I love this book and love Laurel’s attempt to taking time out to look at another future. I also really like Sebastian and seeing his divided feelings about whether he should protect
I very much enjoyed reading “What I Like About You” by Kait Nolan. This spin off series of her Misfit Inn series is so touching. I love how all the characters are unique. Sebastian and Laurel are very different on the outside but mesh beautifully on the inside. They compliment one another amazingly. I especially loved how they communicated and were honest. No games. This was a quick, heart-warming, romantic, and inspiring story of young people courageously creating a life together that challenges and nurtures themselves and others. Loved it!

Sebastian and Laurel meet at her brother, Logan’s wedding and their connection is instant. Laurel is confused about her career choice and spending time dog sitting while her brother is on his honeymoon sounds like the perfect solution, and with a certain horse whisperer close by seems like an icing on the cake.
I enjoyed reading this beautiful, heartwarming read. Laurel and Sebastian were perfect together, they complemented and supported each other to rise above their personal issued. I enjoyed their journey together, their growth and their romance.
Great story with wonderful characters! I love how Kait includes characters from her previous stories. It’s like revisiting old friends. Laurel and Sebastian both have some serious hangups, but try to work through them to get where they want to be.
Kait does an excellent job building the world and characters in her stories. As usual it was easy for me to get emotionally invested in the story and hard for me to put it down until I was finished with the story.

What a wonderful story! This second book in the Rescue My Heart series by Kait Nolan is just as good as her other books. Laurel and Sebastian are so right for each other. While it’s always nice to have familiar characters reappear, it’s not necessary to have read the other books to enjoy this book. Once again, the characters are well developed and there’s just enough romance and suspense to keep the reader’s attention. Another real hit and a must-read!

I love Kait Nolan’s books. She has excellent storytelling skills and never disappoints. What I Like About You has it all, insecurity issues, hopelessness, abandonment fears, well-developed characters, great expression of feelings, great storyline, well- paced, intense chemistry between H and h, danger, rescues, and of course a HEA. Do not miss this book.
