Sebastian and Laurel meet at Logan and Athena’s wedding. He’s a former Army Ranger and works with an equine rescue. Laurel has one more semester to get her law degree. Sebastian suffers with PTSD and Laurel suffers with anxiety attacks because she’s not sure if she wants to be an attorney now. This book is one of my favorites. We get to meet new people, but we get to see some of the people that we met in previous books. I received an ARC of this book for an honest review. I loved it. The main characters and the supporting characters are awesome people, flawed but lovable. I love all of them. This book is a stand-alone, you do not have to read the others in this series to enjoy this one. It has lots of romance. I read the whole book without stopping. I loved it and hope you do too.
I love the small town romances of Kait Nolan! What I Like About You is a beautiful emotional story of Laurel and Sebastian romance. Laurel and Sebastian are attracted to each other when they meet at her brother Logan’s wedding. After the wedding Laurel stays at her brothers organic farm to dog sit and relax before the holidays and her last semester of law school. Sebastian is ex military and has been working at Logan’s farm rescuing horses and giving horse riding lessons. Sebastian has trust issues and Laurel isn’t happy and is doubting her decision to be a lawyer. I throughly enjoyed reading What I Like About You and highly recommend reading it.

I loved this book. Nolan takes readers deep into all their feelings with these wonderfully written characters.
I highly recommend this book to fans of the contemporary romance genre.
Kait Nolan writes great stories that are filled with emotion.
This book contains lots of emotions with love included.
The plot is well thought out and the characters are so believable.
This is a great series.
Couldn’t put it down. Loved the sweet story of Laurel and Sebastian with the intermingling of the Misfit Inn characters. Just enough romance, spice and conflict for a good summer read

I have been provided with a review copy of What I Like About You by the author via Booksprout for an impartial review. This is the second book in the Rescue My Heart series and I just absolutely loved getting to go back into this wonderful world with it’s amazing characters. I just had so much fun reading this story and getting to learn more about these characters. In this story we get to meet Laurel Maxwell and Sebastian Donnelly and see what situations they are having to deal with. I just fell in love with them and I just loved getting to see their journey. I just didn’t want it to end and I was sad to turn the last page. I can’t wait to see what comes next.
Who saved who! Sebastian has suffered the affects of post traumatic stress. Laurel has spent her whole life trying to get her fathers love and attention no matter the cost. When they have to spend time together at her brothers ranch they learn how much they’ve come to mean to each other. Sebastian and Laurel are so right for each other, now if they would just figure it out!

This book is is about two complex characters. Laurel, who lacks one semesters from being a Vandy law school grad, and Sebastian, an ex-Army Ranger, Their lives intersect at her brother’s wedding. Kate unfold these caracters in her own inimitable way
A MUST READ!o

I’m always game for a Kait Nolan story. These characters were as realistic and engaging as I’ve come to expect from her.
The story, on the other hand, was predictable (at least to me) and the character motivations a little thin and cobbled together. I love the idea of animal rescue and animal therapy, so that’s what kept me engaged until the end. It was great to see the Eden’s Ridge crew again, too, but as far as this story on its own, I was a little disappointed. It wasn’t the page-turning, gut-wrenching story I’ve come to expect from Nolan.

Such a sweet romantic story. An amazing read that I loved. The characters are so perfect for each other. Loved how both Laurel and Sebastian spent time around the horses. They both saw the horses as a means to escape life for a while.
Loved this book! It was a page turner from the start. Both of the main characters connected quickly and you wanted to see where their story was going.

I am a big fan of Kait Nolan and have read almost all of her books. The Misfit Inn series is one of my favorites and What I Like About You is a great addition to the series. Sabastian was a peripheral character in the previous stories and I am glad we finally got to learn about his hear-breaking past and why he likes the solitary life he has chosen before Laurel enters the picture. Laurel, who is about to graduate from law school, seems to have her life together and is complacent with the decisions for her life that have already been made by her driven father. Until she meets Sabastian. See how taking care of horses that have been abused and neglected provide healing for Laurel and Sabastian and makes both of them re-think the path they are on.
Way to go, Kait. You have done it again.

I so love this series! I was so glad to catch up with people from past books. Luckily Sebastian had to step in for one of the groomsmen for Laurel’s brother’s wedding. Sebastian was exactly what Laurel needed. Laurel was so uptight and had been so concentrated on finishing law school, she never had time for herself. It is nice seeing a smart and sexy woman in a book. I think it is so great how the military guys stay good friends and help each other after they get out. I felt bad that Sebastian had felt everyone leaves him. I didn’t like Laurel’s father at first. Ms. Nolan does a great job of pulling me into the story where I am part of the story. I didn’t want to put the book down once I started. I strongly encourage you to read the book. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader’s Copy of this book.
Kait already had me in the very first scene, when Sebastian is working with one of his rescues, Ginger. I was wishing right there and then (and still am) that there were more Sebastians-at-heart in real life. I’m not only a fan of his horsemanship skills, I’m also firmly on #TeamSebastian where Christmas movies are concerned. Just so you know.
Laurel made quite an entrance (no pun intended), and I appreciate that she continues in the tradition of capable, take-charge heroines in and around Eden’s Ridge.
On a side note, I love Ari’s matchmaking meddling, and I hope to read her story eventually, when she’s done some more growing up.
(And there are also little crossover easter eggs for fans of Tawna Fenske: I’m chuffed to bits that Sean gets to cater their wedding, and that Logan and Athena are spending their honeymoon at the Ponderosa Resort! <3 )
Sebastian is more comfortable with horses then people. He works on Maxwell farm rescuing abused horses. Laurel Maxwell has one more semester of law school. Both are in Edens Ridge for Athena and Logan’s wedding. Laurel has big decisions to make about the future. She is torn between doing what her father wants her to do versus finding what makes her happy. The twists as Sebastian and Laurel get to know each other and deal with past experiences leads to drama and new possibilities.

I adore everything Kait Nolan writes. There’s nothing of hers that I’ve read that I haven’t loved. She has the ability to have me convulsing in paroxysms of laughter and heaving great shuddering sobs. This book didn’t disappoint. I’m a sucker for a military hero, so this whole series is right up my alley. Make him brooding and gothic, like Sebastian, and he becomes more irresistible to me than catnip to your favorite mouser. I suffer from a similar affliction as Laurel – a need to please and gain my parents’ validation. It’s safe to say that Sebastian and Laurel and carrying around a lot of emotional baggage. And the story gets pretty deep as they unpack it all. I loved these two together, even though they frequently drove me a little crazy. But I think one of the things I loved best about this book was that we got to see all the denizens of the Misfit Inn again as well as Ivy and Harrison. I can’t wait to come back and do it again.

What I Like About You is the second book in the Rescue My Heart series, but reads well as a stand alone. Sebastian is not one to “people” and he relates best with his horses, but when Laurel comes into town for her brother’s wedding, his life quickly changes. Laurel is only in town for a short time, but they can’t resist the connection between them. Will they find a true love or will his past and her family’s expectations tear them apart?
Ohh, I just loved this book! Sebastian and Laurel have such strong chemistry and a pull between them that just can’t be denied, and they completely drew me in right from the very beginning! Sebastian is quiet, a little closed off, but I loved watching him open his heart and dreams up to Laurel and the joy that she brightened in his life. Laurel had a ton of stress in her life, but she was so driven and loved the idea of helping others with her talents. I loved watching her relax and blossom under the guidance and love of Sebastian. They really made an amazing team. I loved their dedication to the animals, I loved the dreams they built, and I loved the passion they shared. There was the perfect blend between drama, steam, and building that true connection between the characters that made me fall in love with this book. It was a fabulous read and I am already excited for the next book in this series!
I loved this book! No one writes small town romance like Kait Nolan and this story is a prime example. The thing about this author is that she can bring you into the lives of her characters and make you care about them; their struggles, their feelings, all of it. Sebastian and Laurel have some serious chemistry and that alone makes this book a winner. Sebastian shows Laurel that it’s okay to live for yourself, to change your future into what you want it to be and not drown in the expectations of someone else. In return, Laurel gives him a reason to believe in himself and what he wants to accomplish with his work with horses. As they begin to plan a future, they must come to grips with old fears and insecurities before they destroy what they are trying to build together. What happens from there is a story you do not want to miss. Talk about all the feels! This book has amazing characters and real life situations that will pull you in and keep you enthralled. Highly recommend!
