How many of us have felt overwhelming pressure to do more of something we thought (possibly years prior!) we wanted to do, but as time passed we realize it’s not what we’re destined to do?
I loved this story because honestly, who wouldn’t want a Sebastian in their life?
So dive in and enjoy!!!
I so enjoyed reading this book. There is something about the story that had my interest and I just wanted to keep reading. It has a great story that is well written and intriguing. All the characters are well developed, captivating and loveable. I enjoyed reading every page and look forward to reading more of this series.
I really enjoyed this love story of Laurel & Sebastian. I love Kait’s style of writing, there is always a lot of depth to her stories. I also love reading series, having characters from other books visit each other, it feels like one big happy family. And as part of that family, I think it’s awesome the way they will advise the main characters, talk out the problems until they see what they need to work on. Because we all know, you can’t see your nose in front of your face. I’m really looking forward to the next in the series.

Sebastian and Laurel are as opposite as two people can be – or are they? Sebastian has hurts that haven’t healed and Laurel has plans she’s afraid to pursue. Through time, friendship, and a little TLC they find their way to each other or will they? Join Kait Nolan in another master story teller novel. This is a stand alone novel, but lots of old friends from other stories are included. It gives you a sense of coming home.

What I Like About You is yet another wonderful romance from author Kait Nolan taking place in the delightful setting of small town, Eden’s Ridge from other of Ms. Nolan’s stories. As always, Kait Nolan doesn’t shy away from tough emotions or complex characters and Sebastian and Laurel certainly don’t disappoint. Both are struggling to work through hurts past and present some of which aren’t even quite clear to them as they sort of go through the motions of life until being challenged by the other. These characters are raw and real and draw you in! Loved every moment of this story!

All right, I know there’s no such thing as Hallmark Channel: After Dark, but if there were, it would totally have the feel of a Kait Nolan romance. Kait’s contemporary romance novels have all the sweetness you’re looking for with a traditional HEA, plus all the steamy parts too.
And What I Like About You is no different. Here are some of the things I loved about it: former military hero; strong, independent heroine; healthy, supportive relationship; well-developed back stories and secondary characters; and heat.
I loved this return to Eden’s Ridge. The Misfit Inn series was my introduction to Kait Nolan, and I’ve always had a soft spot for the characters and town. This addition to the Eden’s Ridge world definitely lived up to my expectations.
What I Like About You is the second book in the Rescue My Heart series as well as a crossover with the Misfit Inn series. However it can also be read as a brilliant stand-alone book. When Sebastian agrees to stand in as a groomsman he meets Laurel and it changes his life in ways he could not imagine. Laurel, a brilliant law student, is having a career crisis. They needed each other. Their attraction is instant and their romance is for you to discover.
Kait Nolan creates honest and real characters with flaws and baggage which is what makes her books a genuine pleasure to read. The small town location and the recurring characters add a depth that keeps you reading and coming back for more. This book is definitely worth five stars. I loved it and cannot recommend it highly enough.

Totally enjoyed Laurel and Sebastian story. I love how he just saw her. Not even really knowing anything about her he saw her better than even her own family. That to me is what soulmates and meant to be are all about. Plenty of action sass and steam. I love how all the characters from some of the other stories always weave in and out of the new ones. You get to catch up with old friends while you make new ones. All Laurel wanted was for her father to be proud and finally notice her. Sebastian is an ex special forces ranger working with abused and neglected horses at Laurel brother Logan’s farm. When Sebastian steps in as a groomsman for his boss Logan he got the jolt of a lifetime. From the moment these two meet there was instant chemistry. The way that Sebastian just seem to truly see her after just meeting her was special. I loved how the two characters challenged and complimented each other. A really great edition to this collection of books.
I absolutely adored Sebastian and Laurel. Sebastian has a magic touch with wounded horses and he has the ability to see what most people miss. When he first meets Laurel, all he can see is that she’s hiding a lot behind her mask and he wants to know more. Laurel is not used to opening up, actually she’s not used to doing anything other than following the PLAN. The Plan that her dad helped her lay out. The problem is, the Plan is slowly crushing her and she’s just coming to realize that. With her brother (and Sebastian’s boss) leaving on his honeymoon, Laurel volunteers to house sit. She figures she can get a few days of relaxing plus hanging out with the smoking hot Sebastian is going to be a bonus. Neither one of them figured that decision was going to change both of their lives in a big way.
This was a great addition to the series – certainly can be read as a standalone, but you get to (re)meet the characters from the Misfit Inn Series and book one of the Rescue My Heart Series. I loved seeing everyone from the previous books, especially Harrison and Ivy (Ivy was even more delightful this time if that’s possible). These two go through a lot and there were some certain twists along the way that I didn’t see coming. I can’t wait for the next addition to the series and hope we get to see more of these two!
I have made no qualms about expressing how much I love Kait Nolan as an author. She has a magical way of making each and everyone of her characters come to life, and practically run like a movie before your eyes. What I Like About You could quite possibly be my favorite book from her to-date. I love how she has two (2) broken characters, that do not necessarily know that they are broken, work towards making a mends. They did not know each other before meeting at a rehearsal dinner. However, the fact that Sebastian, a broken retired veteran, who works on Laurel’s brother’s ranch, can see Laurel when no else can, is truly remarkable. As you read page after page, you learn more about Laurel, her drive, and where she has gotten lost on her journey. Through each hurdle, Sebastian is there to give her strength, when she doesn’t even realize she needs it. Keep in mind that Kait Nolan finds a way to continue to show Laurel as the strong Heroine that she is, while sharing her weaknesses. Then there is Sebastian, a man having a hard time overcoming his past, with amazing support from his friend’s intown. As there should be, there is a push and pull between the two (2) characters, and then the anxiety of whether they will find their way together, or will they go their separate ways. Add the “mystery” of their friendship, their immediate chemistry, and how Laurel’s brother cannot know that they may be “more than friends”.
Highly recommend this book! The only reason for the reduced half a star is that I get tired of the undertone of getting past the past. Otherwise, it is a total book binge, and I’m confident you will find yourself unable to put it down!

Another sweet romance from Kait Nolan.
Laurel and Sebastian meet at her brother’s wedding and have instant chemistry. The two couldn’t be more different.. Sebastian is a former Ranger with serious trust issues. Laurel is a law student who desperately needs an escape from the pressures in her life. The two are perfect for each other.
This book is an easy, fun read. There’s lots of romance with a little suspense thrown in.

No one writes like Kait Nolan!!! Another winner that takes me in from the second I start the book, Sebastian (*SWOON*) and Laurel will take your heart on a ride from beginning to end! Definitely 5 stars from me!!!
Kait Nolan’s newest offering speaks to anyone who may have gotten into a rut without really knowing how or why. I hate giving spoilers, so without going into specifics, I’ll just say it should stimulate every reader with an out-of-balance life to re-evaluate their life and pursue what they need to complete it.
The story delivers humor and passion and drama in typical Kait Nolan fashion and has moved up to being one of my favorites of all her books!

I like how Kait .unites all the characters from previous books. This was a fantastic in itself.Sebastian and Laurel’s story of quiet people shy ex army guy and studious feisty girl. Like how they meet at the wedding and click together

You know Kait Nolans stories end in HEA, but its the story, the characters, the town and the writing that make each of her books a jem. This book is no different. Admittedly I was slightly bored at the start, characters we’d seen before with the gruff standoff silent alpha and the rich beautiful babe with daddy isues, however once that part of their characters was established the story took off into one of those that ensures you miss out on sleep because you HAVE to finish it! It was fabulous to catch up with Harrison, Ivy & the Eden Ridge crew.
I’ve always loved Kait Nolan’s books and this one does NOT disappoint! The chemistry between the characters sucks you in. I was rooting for them from the beginning. I found myself absorbed in their personal struggles and wanted to reach out to them as if I knew them. I loved how Kait is able to pull me in (as a reader) and I feel as though I am witnessing the story in real life. Don’t pass this one up!!!

The title of this book should be what don’t I like about you….because that’s my question! There wasn’t one thing I didn’t like. From our hero Sebastian, who better with horses than with people, to the anxiety ridden Laurel, who’s been trying to live up to her fathers expectations for years. Their instant chemistry, much more potent than mere physical attraction, could be felt directly through the page, right from their first meeting.
Instead of opposites attract, I think our couple were instead two halves of the same heart, finally reunited thanks to the seamless storytelling of author Nolan. I was totally invested in their journey, which was sweet, hot and even a bit frustrating. But that’s life, love and couple-hood. Not a fairytale but a journey. And for me, this was a five star journey which I recommend whole heartedly!
