This may have been one of my favorites from Kait! The characters were so well written. They weren’t your typical ‘romance ‘ type which I think explained a lot to me in the story. I feel like the mixture of real-life characters made me fall in love with both of the main characters.

Whenever I pick up a book by this very talented author, I know it will be one that will touch my heart. This one proved my point.
The story centers around former Army Ranger Sebastian Donnelly and Laurel Maxwell, the sister of Logan, whom we met in a previous story, and soon to be graduating from law school.
They meet at Logan’s and Athena’s wedding and the attraction is immediate. But Sebastian is a man whose life has been one lacking real love and one filled with abandonment, while Laurel has spent her life trying to please her father to the point of causing her to have panic attacks.
As they spend time together, a relationship blossoms. But fears of disappointment, lack of trust, as well as fears of abandonment , might slash any chances of allowing love to survive.
It’s at times heartbreaking and at others heartwarming. Will these two find their happiness, or will those doubts and fears hinder them from finding their HEA?
I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
I have a great love for small town romance. Nolan hits that mark every time. This second book in another trilogy set in Eden’s Ridge, Tennessee, brings Laurel and Sebastian together through her brother’s wedding. He is a former Army Ranger and she is a brilliant law student and the sister of his boss, Logan. He has trust issues, she has panic attacks. I enjoy how they work together to overcome their hurdles to reach their HEA. Another great story by this author.

The small town romances are wonderful. Sebastian and Laurels story was excellent I liked the little bit of conflict but it was not overdone. Another winner for Kait Nolan.

Great book about foibles, family, friends, futures &, of course, steamy romance. You’ll be captivated by Lauren & Sebastian, their stories & their love of animals.

This is pure Kait at her very best. What’s not to like about a former Army Ranger and a driven law student weathering the storms together? Sebastian lets love back into his life in the form of Laurel, who needs his help to get through the stormy decisions adulting will ask her to make. Loved him, loved her, and even loved Daddy Maxwell. He proves that old dogs (and horses) can learn new tricks. I was not disappointed and you won’t be either.

Kait Nolan has done it again. Written a sweet but exciting story about two of the residents of Eden Ridge. Even if you haven’t read any of the other books, you will be able to follow this one just fine. Logan and Athena are getting married. Logan’s sister, Laurel, is going to be a bridesmaid. She is out of school for the Christmas Holiday. When she returns, she will finish her last semester of law school. And she had been offered a job at a prestigious firm in New York. When one of Logan’s groomsmen can’t make the wedding, he asks Sebastian, his friend and ranch helper to fill in. Sebastian finds Laurel intriguing but he isn’t into relationships. When Laurel’s father decides to toast her success in law school and the offer of the job, she loses it. She isn’t sure she wants to work at this big firm or even wants to practice law. And for him to do this at the rehearsal dinner, essentially snubbing Logan, she has to leave the room. Sebastian follows her and they begin to bond as he comforts her. Laurel has agreed to stay at Logan’s house while he on his honeymoon, which means she and Sebastian are going to be working closely together. She becomes fascinated with Sebastian’s dreams for a horse rescue program. But is her father going to throw a wrench in her plan to help Sebastian. And can Sebastian trust her to really be interested in his plans and dreams. Read to find out.

Laurel and Sebastian are really likeable well rounded characters. The chemistry between them is great from the start. They each have issues, but they aren’t the walking wounded who seem hopeless and are then miraculously rescued. I think many people can relate to Laurel’s issues especially. Even though they have some baggage they realize they are willing to take a chance although it’s a bit rocky getting there.. I really enjoyed this one. I also like that the reader wasn’t left wondering about their future. A very nice conclusion to the story. Reminds me that I need to fill in the Misfit series books I haven’t read yet. It was fun to see a little sneak reference to a series by another author I’ve enjoyed too. I will admit I laughed and cried reading this one. A++

With this latest addition to to her Rescue My Heart series Kait Nolan has once again delivered a wonderful romance packaged with great lessons about finding and choosing your own path to happiness. I really enjoyed getting to know Sebastian and Laurel and their back stories. I also enjoyed seeing Laurel’s character unfold as she finds her own sense of self. Sebastian is awesome. I loved seeing his support and encouragement for Laurel while he works through his own baggage. Great read! Thanks again Kait.

I loved Laurel and Sebastian’s story! Match-making Ari is at it again with these two, but with the help of Logan this time. Sebastian is the strong, non-peopling, horse rescuing hero with a thing for his buddy’s upfront, tell it like it is, take no crap, lawyer little sister. Both Laurel & Sebastian have their own demons to overcome. Though both in denial of those demons, they need each other to finally overcome them. They must both save each other!
I truly loved this story! This is a story I would love to see on the big screen!
