They say what happens in Vegas, stays there, and that’s exactly what Peyton is counting on. After waking up in a hotel room that isn’t hers, next to a naked man she doesn’t know, with a ring on her finger and no recollection of the previous twenty-four hours, she hops the first flight back home with two new mantras. Whatever happened, happened. And no looking back, only forward. Only a few …
Only a few months later, her past shows back up on her doorstep in the form of one very determined husband.
A few months ago, Maxwell woke up alone in a hotel in Vegas with a hangover and a lingering feeling that something important had happened to him the night before.
Unsure if his vague memories were real or just a dream; he hired a private investigator.
Now that he’s tracked down his accidental wife, he’s determined to get a divorce.
Or is he?
Face to face, the words don’t come and instead he finds himself asking his wife if she’d like to go on a date. Is it possible their one night in Vegas was meant to be more?
Can they make a relationship work? Or is divorce really the only option when what happens in Vegas follows you home?

What happened in Vegas followed them home. Peyton was aware of being married before she left Vegas but not to who. With the help of her bestie she soon got her answers. Maxwell(Max) on the other hand went on with his life. Working and keeping busy but has flashes of his time in Vegas until his friend suggests getting a P.I. to help fill in the blanks. What he discovers is Peyton, his wife. Talk about a man with a mission, that was Max. This story has heart. It not rushed but take you on a journey of discovery. When a person finds the One that completes them. Learning to grow and overcoming all that is put in the way. Compromising to get the best of both worlds. This is one for the books to be read. I recommend it and you will not be disappointed.

Erica was in Las Vegas partying with friends and Maxwell, a lawyer, was there for a bachelor party. They both got drunk and the next day Erica woke up in a stranger’s bed with a ring on her finger and took off before he woke up. Erica returned home to Los Angeles and tried to forget about that evening until a month later when she received a copy of the marriage certificate in the mail. Maxwell had vague recollections of the event and hired an investigator who got him Erica’s information. He goes to see her and when they meet again there is an attraction. However, she lives and works in Los Angeles and his business is in Seattle. Will they be able to work out their differences or is divorce their only solution?
I enjoyed this book but there didn’t seem to be a lot of compromising to make things work. However I liked the story as a whole and would recommend this book.
