I thoroughly enjoyed myself while reading this one! Four girlfriends from college who are now scattered across the country and Toronto, Canada, come together for a girls weekend in Las Vegas. Yeah, that sounds like fun. Starts out with taking bets on when and where one is going to puke but the fun really starts when Bonni, who is a cop in the Fraud Division, uses her voucher to play the slots and figures since it is basically free money to go all in and go for it all and soon all the bells and whistles are going off! She won and won big! Next thing they know they have been upgraded to the Presidential Suite and Bonni is treating the girls to a night out clubbing. Quinn just happens to be at that bar and from across the bar he spots Bonni on the dance floor with her girls and he is struck. A few dirty dances and Bonni and Quinn are “all in” and it seems what happens in Vegas for these two is magic. For two who would appear to be opposites they really compliment each other but will they be able to make a go it if they take the “all in” out of Vegas? Great start to this series and I am looking forward to reading the rest. Lucky for me I have them!
Loved this story. Bonni and Quinn are great. Can’t wait to read about other friends.
A wacky and wired thirty something trio of girlfriends go wild in Vegas. The author creates genuinely believable and very descriptive events that these ladies get up to. There is so much going on that you sometimes lose track of what is happening to whom.
A fun read. Friends, a steamy romance, and Vegas! Loved that I was able to escape to Vegas (if only via book pages) with these fun friends. I liked all the characters, the various personalities of the friends and how the meshed together, and the setting. An easy, fun read.
This book was definitely fun. From the beginning I enjoyed getting to know the four friends. I could easily imagine myself being a part of the girls group and having fun in Vegas. Their friendship just seemed so fun and easy and I really enjoyed reading about them.
Although this book was definitely fun, it had some things I didn’t like as much. For example the part where Bonni and Quinn meet and decide to hook up. It seemed to be only five minutes between them meeting each other and them hooking up. I also think not many woman would appreciate one of their girlfriends going away with a guy so soon in there trip. But.. in this book it definitely didn’t matter because I just loved these four friends and the romance between Bonni and Quinn was just easy and fun.
Bonni and Quinn where definitely a fun couple. I loved reading about them. And although their romance seemed to start very fast, I enjoyed reading how they grew closer and closer. I didn’t get everything in their relationship but I was rooting for them from the start. And especially the second half of this book I loved.
The friendship between these four girls was definitely my favorite thing about this book. I loved their interactions and how different all four of them where. Their conversations where fun and put a smile on my face. And I really want to read the other books in this series to find out what happens to all of them.
Yes, ‘What Happens in Vegas’ wasn’t a perfect read, but I definitely enjoyed it and it made me want to start reading the next book in the series as soon as possible.
