Since discovering her boyfriend of six years cheating with his coworker, Savannah Adelson has ditched him and is focusing on her midwife career. A trip to Scotland to be a bridesmaid in her best friend’s wedding comes at the perfect time, especially when she immediately hits it off with the groom’s cousin.
Rhys MacKinnon is currently taking a bit of a break while looking for his next career and is all too happy to show Savannah around the Highlands and even pose as her boyfriend when her ex arrives uninvited and unannounced. The fake relationship rapidly becomes very real for both Savannah and Rhys and she’s torn between her feelings for him and her hopes for her career and it soon looks like they’ll both wind up hurt.
I really enjoyed this light-hearted read and Rhys was a perfect hero. This book kept my attention and was very sweet. The only thing that annoyed me was how little Savannah was willing to give up for Rhys, especially when it was very obvious very early on just how far he’d go for her. I’m sad to see this series end and I will read more from this author.

OMG I am headed to Scotland to find me a true love.
Savannah is headed to Scotland to see her best friend Rose get married and to see and help her other best friend Katie have her baby. Savannah is a midwife. Both girls went to Scotland and met the love of their lives. They moved to Scotland to be with them and Savannah missed her friends but was happy for them.
Savannah had been dating Bill who was her friends Roses best friend first. Thats how she met him, through Rose. He was invited to wedding but Savannah thought he wouldn’t show up since he cheated on Savannah a month ago with his secretary Brenda. She had walked in and caught them together.
He shows up for the wedding and then Savannah is forced to tell her friends that the two of them are no longer together. She says he can still come to the wedding she is ok with it if Rose is.
A really interesting book that I read in one evening because I just could not put it down.
Savannah was finally away from her cheating ex going abroad for her best friends wedding. She booked a first class train trip to go in style after she left the air port. She never expected to encounter a handsome Scot that would make her heart skip a beat but she thought she would never see him again and told him about her life. When Rhys showed up at the castle she didn’t know he was related to the man her friend was marrying or that he would later become a major factor in her life. This story will have you believing in true love and that heartbreak can be healed with the right one comes along.

Incredibly romantic.
Rhys is the kind of man we all dream of and the author really made him come to life through her words. The story felt real. Savannah and Rhys were perfect together. Their chemistry was off the chart. The descriptions of the locations in the Scottish Highlands made me feel like I was right there. I also enjoyed catching up with the characters from the previous books in the series. I have enjoyed all of the books in the What Happens series, but this one is definitely my favorite.
Lovely descriptions of Scotland enhance this story of new love with an unfortunate timetable. With two precious months in Scotland for her best friend’s wedding and another’s baby birth, Savannah Adelson finds herself falling for Rhys McKinnon. Unless fate changes its course, two months will be all they have.
