ColeRegrets, I have many in my life, but the top two regrets haunt me every day.One is the future I stole from my sister, Claire, because of a car accident I caused. The second? Grace.I was six years old when I met the love of my life. I didn’t know. How could I?After years of my life being filled with Grace, grace itself became my regret. My sister always said, “The past doesn’t always stay where … past doesn’t always stay where it should.” And damn, she was right.
My past is staring right at me. Golden eyes, slick blood-red hair, killer body, and a shy smile.
A smile that was once mine, and mine alone.
Grace now lives in the same apartment building, attends the same university, and is friends with my siblings. She came back into my life for a second time. I should walk away, just like she once had.
Regrets. Is it possible to regret the same person twice?
Grace
Living on an island, they always preach about the power of the sea. The hazards of the riptide.
But my riptide was too much for me to fight, and the current never slowed. So, I went away.
Away from him. Cole.
My shore.
Three years ago, strangers broke me with their hateful words.
They didn’t even know me.
But I was weak.
It’s true. People could destroy you with words—in this case, a sex tape. A single video managed to ruin my reputation—my self-worth—and my soul drowned along with it.
After my family isolated me, keeping me away from the aftermath, I left my safe-haven and decided to go to college. My soul knows he’s here, too.
It’s been three years, but now I’m stronger.

Spanish:
What do you regret?” de K. Dosal McLendon es el segundo libro de la serie “What Do You”.
“No eras sólo mi novia. Eras mi alma, mi fuego, mi gracia”

English:
“What do you regret?” by K. Dosal McLendon is the second book in the “What Do You” series. It’s a standalone novel, a very romantic new adult, quite different from all the novels I’ve read. The Raynolds family is still capturing hearts, previously with Claire and now with Cole.
Cole Raynolds met Grace Henderson when he was 6 years old, and at that moment he realized he couldn’t separate from her. Years later, they were a beautiful couple, but everything went wrong after a sex-tape of both was published. After Grace ran away, three years later, they met again in the same apartment building, attending the same university, and being friends with Cole’s sibilings.
Honestly, this book surprised me because the main theme that unites both protagonists, sex-tape, is very serious. It’s also something that happens in people’s daily lives when they filter this kind of video or photos.
In this case, our protagonist was destroyed for something she shouldn’t be ashamed of, and throughout the book, that moment of repentance, shame, and bullying she suffered in high school makes her run away.
In those past chapters, I met a very young Cole and Grace, who loved each other, and had the idea of making a sex tape. Good or bad, both were part of it, but everything changed when it came to light, and the distancing was imminent on Grace’s part.
“Your lips.” His thumb runs across my bottom, dragging it down with the pressure from his touch. “They drive me wild, starved for another taste of their sweet ecstasy. They make me a junkie, itching for its next hit, looking for their tender touch on mine. I’ll never get enough because just the sight of their color, shape, and the memory of them against mine, call for me to come back for more.”
Now I just want to praise Cole for everything he does for her. Without being able to forget her, he recovers her because the feelings are there, but again everything goes to hell. Those moments of protecting her, even if he has to do things that he dislikes, shows what a great person he is. Complicated moments in the last chapters with a bittersweet taste for what Grace suffers, but with a HEA.
“You weren’t just my girlfriend. You were my soul, my fire, my grace”

FIVE EMOTIONAL STARS for Grace and Cole !!!
This is the second book that I’ve read by K. Dosal McLendon and I absolutely adore her writing style and storylines.
“What Do You See?” is an emotional wrecking ball.
But, this one…
…is much more.
“What Do You Regret?” is a deep and emotional romance book about one actual theme which is cyberbullying.
This book will make you laugh and cry but it also will give you the best time which only can give you a book like this one.
If you’re looking for the romance book with an emotional roller coaster, then this was totally for you!!!
Highly recommended!!!
If you’ve read What Do You See?, then you’ll know that one was super heavy and emotional. But this one was less heavy than the first one in my opinion. But still has the touch of the author.
Her characters are always carrying some burden on their shoulders, has their own issues they struggle with. With Cole and Grace, you can expect nothing less. You can feel them, their pain, their struggles and their issues. You connect with them. That’s why I think K. Dosal write such beautiful characters!
And of course, with the author, she always addresses important matters, and in this case its cyber bullying. The author did such an amazing job addressing that by combining it into the story.
I can’t believe how fast I read through this book, two days. I couldn’t put it down. From the beginning the friendship that turned to love was such a sweet beginning. But some loves don’t come with out heart ache, and struggle. I saw through the struggle Cole and Grace faced it was worth it in the end. That sometime love is not lost just misplaced waiting to be found and made to become 100 times stronger. This was such a great second book, I hope there is another.
Cole and Grace go through so much over the course of their book. I felt invested in their story and my connection to them only grew as the story went on. Not only do you get the second chance romance, you get to feel what it’s like to be victim to cyber bullying. I thoroughly enjoyed WDYR and look forward to the next book in the series.
This was a new to me author and I’m so glad I took a chance on this book. Grace and Cole’s story was a beautiful one. This book touched my heart and I will forever remember these amazing characte
Do you like a second chance love story? I do!
An illegally made sex tape devastates the lives of two 17 year olds. Grace is thrown into deep despair and must battle to regain her emotional strength. Cole feels rejected by Grace and vows never to open his heart again. When they cross paths three years later, their hearts can’t help but reach out to one another. But the past often doesn’t stay buried. This time will they stand and fight together or will they let hurt win and spend their lives in regret?
This is book two in the series and can be read as a stand-alone, but I highly recommend the first book What Do You See?
Initially I had a hard time with Cole’s character. He doesn’t come off very sympathetic but did come around before the end. I liked seeing Grace use her art to help keep herself strong in dealing with bullying. This is a cautionary tale about the use and power of social media and the effects of cyberbullying. This was also a story of young love (they became friends at age 6) but also the story of two people working to regain their relationship and learning to trust each other again. Lots of steam in this one! Big thanks to the author for my ARC!
What Do You Regret is book two in K. Dosal McLendon’s What Do You series.
This is Cole’s story. He thought he met the love of his life at age six only for her to leave him without notice or a goodbye. Now she’s back.
Cole and Grace have several battles to overcome throughout this story. It’s emotional, it’s raw at times, and when these two aren’t fighting the connection they share, it’s hot AF!
I love this author’s writing style. Her plots are different and give me a breath of fresh air yet keep me emotionally vested throughout the story.
What Do You Regret, is the follow up to What Do You See,. The bar was eat high in the first book in this series, but it was blown up even higher after having read this book.
This series follows the lives of a family of triplet siblings, 2 brothers and a 1 sister. This is Cole & Grace’s story and it was heart achingly amazing. What happens when you meet your soul mate as a child but have them ripped away from you as a teen and then be given the opportunity to see them again years later? It may sound similar to books you e read previously, but this was like nothing I had read before and I could not put it down.
I loved Cole’s story, K Dosal McLendon gave us titbits of Coles story in What Do you See. I actually really like te titles of this series, as there is a question in it. We read about Coles story and what has made him so bitter for someone so young and with regrets.
Cole and Grace, a love story of two young people who were childhood friends and then teenage sweethearts who had found their 4Eva’s. Until a leaked video of the two of them is released. The misunderstanding between the two whilst dealing with the fallout, leads to lives going on seperately, until fate brings Grace right back into Coles life, when moves into the apartment building he lives in. They have both grown into such different people, but the burning love is still there.
I love how we read about how they deal with what happened in their past, the protectiveness Cole feels automatically when Grace is around and then the realisation by Cole that he had never dealt with his feelings for Grace, just masked them under the guise of “his biggest regret” along with the accident that changed his sister’s life. Sometimes time apart can help heal the hurt, and change the regret to realisation. When the regret is wasting years over a regret that never was.
Cole and Grace’s story, you wouldnt want it to happen to your daughter, and I loved how Grace’s family closed ranks to protect her from the “sex tape” but they forgot about the other person in the tape and how he had to deal with it. He didn’t. K Dosal McLendon gave us so much to think about with this read, What do I regret? Food for thought. I loved this read and look forward to “What do you Do
4 STARS
I love second chance romances and if you do too, this is a MUST read!!! What Do You Regret was beautiful, but heartbreaking. I loved how Cole and Grace’s relationship began from a childhood friendship and grew to more as young lovers. It was unfortunate what caused them to separate in the first place, but I was rooting for them to reconnect. You could clearly see the love that they still harboured for each other, despite the passage of time.
This book not only focused on their love story, but on the deeper issue of cyberbullying that affects many in this generation. I highly recommend reading this book. What Do You Regret by K. Dosal McLendon will join the ranks of the BIBLIO-ELITE!!!
First I have to say that I love K. Dosal Mclendon’s writing style. As I read her stories I feel like I’m reading lyrics and I can hear a melody in my head, it’s beautiful. Anyway, onto this book…
This story addressed such an important real life topic of cyber bullying, well bullying in general and took me on an emotional journey that I wasn’t expecting or prepared for. I enjoyed how the story was told from both the past and present. To experience the the pain, embarrassment and heartbreak through both Grace and Cole’s eyes was eyeopening. This is one of those stories that makes you question how you would handle things if you were in that situation, I love books that make you think!
I also loved that both Grace and Cole had the family support throughout their battles during both high school and again in college. The bond that Cole, Claire and Liam had from What Do You See? was amazing so I was happy that we got more of that sibling love, bickering, and support in this story as well. Another great story to add to my favorites for the year. I can’t wait to read Liam’s story because he happens to be my favorite triplet!
I fell in love with K. Dosal McLendon after reading “What Do You See?” and was looking forward to reading the stories of some of the supporting characters from that book. “What Do You Regret?” was the answer to my prayers. In this book we get to know Cole and Grace, two people with a past history that did not end well. When the two come face to face after years apart, he is bitter and hardened towards her and wants nothing to do with her, except really he does. For her part Grace has not had it easy. She has gone through things that would destroy a grown woman and is a survivor. Following these two beautifully broken people on their journey towards their happily ever after, will wreak havoc on your emotions and will leave you feeling all the different ups and downs you can possibly feel while reading an incredible second chance romance. TBR this book right away and if you haven’t already read “What Do You See”, TBR that as well, trust me you’ll fall in love with both. (I read an ARC and voluntarily left a review).
I really think that K Dosal McLendon has potentials. I mean this, is only her second published book and it is really something to look forward to. What Do You Regret is the second standalone book from the series What Do You.
I like how the story has little flashbacks that show how everything happened. The placing of these said flashbacks in between current chapters makes the whole plot interesting. I also like that this series seems to be inclined more on the mental health issues that we are currently facing. While the first one seems to focus on depression, this one is more on bullying. Even though I find it ridiculous how one little incident makes her life that miserable, doesn’t mean it does not happen in real life. It’s an eye-opener on how someone’s little action may affect others at a larger scale than we could ever understand. This one may not be as emotionally heart wrenching than the fist one, but it captures your heart nonetheless. That twist is a little unexpected, at least for me. I really find it very enjoyable when something surprises me while reading.
I would initially want to say that Grace is a little weak. But given the circumstance that she found herself in, I think it’s pretty understandable that she would crumble. She did redeem herself along the way though. She was able to stand her ground and fight through the darkness that somehow is eating her alive. Cole on the other hand is just a typical book boyfriend. He may not be a knight in shining armor, but he has passion and enough love to fill in voids.
Overall, I would give this 4 stars. It’s something new and typical both at the same time. There’s a little something more missing, although I just can’t seem to put my finger on it. Either way, this is something worth reading and definitely something I would recommend.
I love when an author can weaves a really difficult subject into a love story. It triggers more emotions than usual HEA. It forces you to think about life and all the choices you have made. The choices we make not only affect us. The words we use can hurt and destroy the self-esteem of another person. What Do You Regret? was a great story that I enjoyed from beginning to end. It was intense, emotional and sexy.
This book reminds me that true love will overcome everything. Even the most difficult moments in life.
My goodness … This is the second book that follows Cole and Grace. Once again Kassy ( I hope that’s right ) has wrote another great book that has you sitting back asking ” what would I do if this happened”. This book has cyber bullying and the affects it has to people’s lives. It took my awhile to warm up to Cole, half the time I wanted to punch him. Grace ..poor poor Grace all she took and how it affected her. So glad she finally let her strong side show!! As always the other characters friends and family where freaking amazing!! Thank you so much for allowing me to be an early reader and I can’t wait for Liam story !!!
ARC REVIEW
Inspirational.
Not a lot of books have the power to change my mind on the world, to make me see what they want me to see, to inspire me to be or do something, and yet, every book I have read so far by this author does just that.
‘What Do You Regret?’ by K Dosal Mclendon is a very inspirational book with the power to show you the ugly and the beauty of this world, the power to give you a reality check and yet hold your hand while you dream in this world, a world that is too easy to love and hard to forget.
This is book number two in the ‘What Do You’ series, and if you haven’t checked ‘What Do You See?’ yet, then now you know what to do as soon as you finish reading this.
K Dosal Mclendon has the power of not only bring words to life but also make you feel each of those words as if they were your own, make you experience and go through the story as if it was you walking through the book and make you believe in something better, something greater.
This book has brought so many emotions upon me I am at a loss of words. I don’t even know where to begin to explain this masterpiece and even make it justice.
This book has truly rendered me speechless, broken my heart more times than I can count, make me sob so hard I had to lock myself in the bathroom to regain a bit of composure before I was ready to face the world.
If you, like me, have read the first book in this series then you probably have already fallen in love with Cole, one of the three Raynolds triplets. He is charming and playful, caring but closed off, he carries so much weight on his shoulders is a miracle he can even stand, he is just and protective, especially of his siblings. He has so much of them in him and yet they are all so very different, but one thing in common, they are fierce, they are fighters, loyal down to their very core and strongest when they are together.
Cole has been broken one too many times, and seeing the love of his life after three long years just brings all the feelings he thought he had buried to the surface.
He has got a don’t-care-about-anything act down to even the smallest of details, he can be cold and calculating, mean and vengeful, but underneath all this facade is just a sweet boy who’s scared to get hurt again and will not risk his heart once more. Because this time, he is sure his heart won’t survive.
Grace is a quirky and unique character, she has gone through more than anyone should ever go through in her life, she has gone to hell and back, faced the Devil and let its creatures bring her down. She has had to grow too fast too soon and had to face the ugliest side of humanity at an early age. What she went through changes a person forever, it makes them wary of everything and everyone, paranoid of the what-ifs and scared of what the future might hold, but Grace being the fierce and fiery heroine she is won’t let her past define her.
She is ready to make a change, to take on the world and show how strong she is even to the ugliest parts of humanity. She is kind and sweet, empathic and caring, she might not be the greatest around people but rest assured she will put her whole passionate and playful being into becoming a better version of herself.
But when the past repeats itself, she will have to find a way to survive again, to make it back on her own two feet and pull herself back together, because if she doesn’t do it, no one will.
The love these characters, this family has for each other is special and precious, something unconditional and always present, something unique that should be treasured and loved just as much as they do.
This is a hard story to read at times, you have to be ready to pour your heart and souls into this story, ready for your mind and beating heart to break over and over again.
You will have to be strong not only for these characters but for you too because this is a powerful book that will touch the most intimates part inside of you, break you into a piece only to put you back together better and tougher than before.
This book is complex and will give you all the feels. It will make you grin like a fool, cry like a fool and love like a fool, it will give you smiles and laughter, shock and tears, it will make you feel all of the emotions you never thought you’d be able to feel from a book and even in the darkest of moments, this book will bring you joy.
You will love and absolutely adore every character in this book, you will get to know them, learn to love them for who they are, understand their similarities and highlight their differences.
If you wanna be inspired, hurt and love, laugh until you cry and cry until you laugh, dream of another world, one with Cole and Liam, Claire and Jake, Vanessa and Grace, a world you will never want to leave, then this is the book for you.
I was so excited for Cole’s story and book two of the What Do You series. I really enjoyed Cole and Grace’s story. This book was amazing! An intense and emotional roller coaster ride with characters you’ll love.
Highly recommend!
I love reading about characters that were inseparable when they were children and than later became lovers, and I will never get tired of second chance romances. This book has it all and it was so beautifully written.
What Do You Regret shows exactly how mean words can affect person on the receiving end ,how they can ruin their mental health and affect all the relationships they have. It shows that life shouldn’t be lived with regrets and how every choice we make has consequences.
I loved Grace for being so strong when she was dealing with things no girl ever should, and I loved Cole even more than her! He was always there for Grace even when he claimed that he didn’t want anything to do with her. I love that their relationship was anything but perfect, but even when they tried they couldn’t stay away from each other. They are perfect together and I enjoyed reading about them. What I loved the most is that bond that Cole and his brother Liam have. I could never get tired of reading about them together, and I really hope Liam gets his own book too!
This was an emotional read. Such a true to life story about bullying that carries over into adulthood. It dealt with some tough issues and I think it was done very well. There was angst, sweet love and some really great writing and story telling! I really enjoyed Cole’s story!
