What happens if we let go of what we think should be and instead embrace What Could Be? Nursing student Brynn Easton’s overachieving nature makes giving God control over her goals, dreams, and compulsive lists a constant challenge, but she’s trying. Between school, her increasingly absentee but otherwise perfect boyfriend, Caleb, and a childcare job she adores, her full life feels on track. But … adores, her full life feels on track. But then she gets to know the charming single father of the most lovable boy she’s ever taught.
After the birth of his son, Josh Davis rededicated himself to God and has worked hard to get his life together. He’s avoided dating, but Brynn draws him in like no one else. Problem is, he can’t seem to find the nerve to get beyond the friend zone. Not that someone as sheltered and sweet as her would ever go for someone like him, anyway.
Can they move their friendship beyond past choices and pain and figure out what it truly means to walk in God’s will for their lives—especially when finding love and forever doesn’t look like they think it should?

What Could Be was a story that I didn’t want to stop reading. I have to admit that I was up way too late reading this book! It was packed with interesting characters and a very plausible storyline.
I liked Josh and Brynn so much! The author took my heart on a real journey with this story, capturing the emotional highs and lows of a potential relationship, juggling baggage from past decisions, looking toward the future with uncertainty, and even the antics of a sweet little boy. I’m looking forward to reading more books in this series.
The setting for What Could Be was also unique, at least for me. I haven’t read many books set in Albuquerque, NM, and having this one set there was very fun, as it is a city that I have spent a lot of time in. I loved the details that were sprinkled into the novel, including references to the Balloon Fiesta and the beautiful Sandia Mountains.

Book One in the Everyday Love series really felt like home.
You see, I thought I’d read this book a while back, but I hadn’t. I guess I’m going backward because I actually read the last book, Whatever Happens Next,” first. So, now I’m getting to see what actually happened with all the wonderful characters I got to know in the last book of the series.
What happens when you think you have all things under control and then everything turns on a dime? Do you stick to your lists of how you think your life should be, or do you let go and let God take over the controls?
This is the lesson Brynn is learning the hard way. She’s a person who is full of life and loves working with children, but she’s questioning everything she’s doing. Josh is the father of a student where Brynn works and from all appearances, he’s got it “all put together.” However, as they get to know each other, they find they both have lots of baggage they need to work through.
This story was so sweet and captivating. It had drama, cute kid antics, fun dialogue, deep touching life lessons, and tender romance.
Jaycee Weaver is an author I have found who writes books that will touch your heart. I enjoy reading her stories because they always make me think about life and how with God’s help it can make it better. She has a sweet way out showing us the love God deeply has for us.
Now I can’t wait to read all the other books in this series. I guess I have some catching up to do!
I highly recommend you pick this book up.
A wonderful story about choices we make. Brynn was on a path toward her goal to be a teacher until she was hurt emotionally then she changed to nursing. She works in a before and after school program that she started and loves every minute, has a safe boyfriend and plays life safe or so she thought. Until she meets Josh, the single father of one of her favorite students in her program, Brandon. Now she is questioning her decisions and prays for wisdom to make the right choice and follow God’s leading. She finds healing and forgiveness for past hurts seeking God’s leading for her future. What will she decide? Read and find out in this book that I highly recommend by an amazing author Jaycee Weaver.
This was pretty good. It started pretty slow for me. I didn’t get attached to Brynn until almost the halfway point. But good plot. Well written. Might read it again. Not my favorite by this author, but that won’t stop me from reading more.
Love the flawed, fun characters. Events so real it feels like they happened to me!
Love this book!! I couldn’t put it down.
