Momma Peach is brave, sassy and quirky but danger seems to find her. This time she has to face a danger from her past. Together with Michelle, Momma Peach has to face things she had worked hard to bury. Although this is part of a series it can also be read as a stand-alone book. Momma Peach also has a supporting cast of memorable and quirky friends which add depth and character to the story. I definitely recommend this book.

Momma Peach knows something evil has come to town when it starts raining heavily keeping everyone inside and then the fog rolls which keeps everyone inside and safe while she figures out who has come to town. I really liked how this goes back to Momma Peaches past and her first investigation per say, this really puts her to the test on remembering the past and working with the limited resources she has due to the changing rules of the game. The way the story unfolds and we find out more about the mysterious stranger is great and with every piece of information you get you want more! This is the perfect book if you haven’t read any of the others to hook you on the series as it touches on other adventures she and her family/friends have been through.

Excellent mystery with a great set of characters and an all-around exciting read. This is definitely a page-turner with a lot of excitement from page one! I realize this is the 8th book of the series and I have not read the previous 7, though I’ve read and enjoyed many of this author’s books, I am determined to catch up with this series as well.

Momma Peachy doesn’t like the fog. She can’t see in it and it gives off a dangerous feeling to her. Meanwhile, a man from her past comes to town to play a “game” with Momma. If she can’t come up with the answers, people she loves will die. Can Momma recall the things this man wants? And, just who is this guy? Things gets intense in this story. Allow a full day for this family-friendly (age eight and up) mystery with thriller elements, set partly in Georgia and partly in Manhattan, which springs from a pie baking contest…

Momma Peach just doesn’t feel right. A heavy fog has settled into the town and is making her feel as if something dark is lurking about. After sending her loved ones out of town, Momma Peach and Michelle are thrown into the past when a serial killer decides to play a deadly game. Momma must delve into the past to stay one step ahead because if she doesn’t, the killer will kill again.
What I loved most about this book was the dynamics between Momma Peach and Michelle. There is a lot of love and trust between these two ladies which is needed when trying to hunt down a killer. They use their smarts and a few hidden assets to battle a killer that it set out to win at his own game. But he never expected the strength and determination of Momma Peach to prevail.
This is the eight book in the series and can be read as a stand-alone, however, I enjoyed the characters and storyline so much that I have added books one through seven to my must-read pile.

an evil figure from the past is hunting Momma Peach – and she travels down memory lane, with the help of detective Michelle, in order to try and figure out which evil doer is after her and her loved ones.
Momma Peach has had quite an active, and scary, detecting life – picking up on little clues like the scent of the fragrance the killer was wearing, the route he took while following police officers as he chose which one to murder off duty.
Her age might have slowed her down somewhat, but Momma Peach still has faster than average reflexes, and a circle of friends and family who try to help as much as they can at every turn possible.
A killer trapped in the evils of his own mind, trying t take vengeance on those Momma Peach cares for makes for a titillating tale of dangerous criminals, and some simply greedy folks who assumed a simple woman from the South would be too stupid to stop them.
A thrilling and exciting suspense/ mystery.

Following this series is really fun. The stories are all very entertaining and the plots keep you interested throughout. Then you have the characters. They are all very amusing, each one has their quirks and when blended together they create a home full of love. Who could not love Momma Peach, she is just so strong and funny. Really enjoy this series and look forward to reading more about Momma Peach and her gang. I have read almost all of this series and each one is a treasure.
This is book eight in the Peach series and as usual Wendy has written a great book. The suspense, in the cozy sense, is great. A must read.
