I love Charlie and his daughters story. I enjoyed seeing a different and softer side to Nell. I also love to revisit with the other residents of Logan Meadows. I was quickly drawn to the scenery and characters in the Prairie Hearts novels and look forward to each book.
Found this to be a very enjoyable read! Several different story lines and characters all flow together to bring us a marvelous story set in Logan Meadows in the late 1800’s. A long awaited reunion, secrets that surface and new found love are just a few things happening in this tiny town. This wonderfully talented author always brings us a heartwarming story line filled with amazing characters. This is a must read!
I voluntarily read and reviewed this book; all opinions expressed are my own.
This is a very well written story of finding love, lovely secondary characters, and standing up to a very real evil.
It was such a joy in catching up with and finding out what characters from previous books have been up to and how their lives have changed since falling in love. There are a few nail-biting moments, as well as a few tears and fun laugh out loud moments. These characters are strong, their back-stories are interesting and the plot keeps the reader guessing as to what is going to happen next. Ms. Fyffe has done a wonderful job with the addition of this book to the Prairie Heart Series. She is definitely my favorite author for this type of story.
In Winter Winds of Wyoming we take a trip back to the town of Logan Meadows and get to catch up on what all the previous characters have been up to, how the married couples are doing, check in on the engaged couples and get to fall in love with characters who may have a chance at their happy ever after.
The story opens with Dalton Babcock wondering where his next meal is coming from. Since moving to Logan Meadows he hasn’t had much luck with making a living being a private investigator, as this small town doesn’t have much going on to need this particular service. As luck would have it though the sheriff wants to go out of town with his family for a few weeks and he has asked Dalton to be a temporary deputy. So the story unfolds as Dalton keeps an eye on the town. It’s Christmas time so there is a lot of love and good will among the towns’ people. However, evil shows up to try and ruin Christmas for the lovely people of Logan Meadows.
Jake Costner’s sisters, Adaline and Courtney are settling in after moving to Logan Meadows to be near their brother, Jake and his wife Daisy. Both girls are adjusting nicely and becoming a part of the town and making friends. When Courtney’s past is about to catch up with her she is afraid her life and all her new friends will change forever. Adaline has her own bit of excitement when she has to do something she never thought possible. Also, since it’s Christmas there is a miracle or two included in this wonderfully written love story. What makes this book different from the “run of the mill” romances is there are several couples who get their happy ever after and each one is different but the reader gets pulled into each one, excited to see the relationships of each come together quite nicely!
I enjoyed this book very much! Had some very interesting twists but all ended well.
