She wants more than just his forgiveness… spending time with. Not one for labels, or someone who puts limitations on attraction, Trixie can’t deny the pull she feels toward Wes when they cross paths again.
He’s willing to do whatever it takes to change her perception of him…
Wes has always been the odd man out. Different than his brothers, he was always more comfortable playing video games or enjoying solitary moments in the pool.
Although he never expected someone as sexy as Trixie to fall for an inexperienced guy like him, he also never expected her betrayal. Now that he has a second chance, can he get her to see him as more than the nice guy she duped?
A year has passed, but anger and regret still linger. Can Wes and Trixie agree to put the past behind them and move forward, or will late night confessions prove to be more than they can forgive and forget?

I recently listened to the audiobook of Wes by Bethany Lopez and enjoyed the second chance romance. Narrated by Dryw McArthur and Penelope Rose, we meet Trixie and Wes, two former friends who no longer talk after her betrayal to Wes. When something changes between them, is this their second chance? Wes was so sweet and likable. Trixie is determined and confident. They had some obstacles to face, but definitely shared a connection and I loved watching them work through them.
Happy listening!
Frat House Confessions: Wes by Bethany Lopez is a second chance romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Dryw McArthur and Penelope Rose.
This is the second book in the Frat House Confessions and I would highly recommend reading them in order since the stories are interconnected.
This is the second book of of Bethany’s that I have read and it definitely won’t be my last. I loved the relationship that bloomed between West and Trixie. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of view throughout the story. It really brought the story to life.
I can’t wait for the next book in the series Frat House Confessions: Brody to be released on audio so I can get Emma and Brody’s story.
Dryw and Penelope did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.
I would recommend this book if you like college romances, second chance romances, or contemporary romance.
Frat House Confessions: Wes
Frat House Confessions, Book 2
By: Bethany Lopez
Narrated by: Dryw McArthur, Penelope Rose
Trixie was on a mission, and after succeeding in her expose, she did find regret for the way things ended with Wes. Wes is still hurt and with a push by his frat brothers, decides to start dating Trixie, only to use her as she did him. But things are never that easy, are they? This is a fun, easy listen, and brings out all the qualities I enjoy in a Bethany Lopez listen. It includes great characters. Trixie is quite the girl. Ambitious with a conscience. She has learned a hard lesson. Wes is sweet. His inexperience and true feelings make him lovable. Add in his brothers and some others we meet in the first story and the book is easy to follow, has love, forgiveness, redemption all sending warmth to our heart. I enjoyed this one, and now will go back to listen to the first of this series!
Dryw McArthur & Penelope Rose are a great pick for the narrators of this book. Each have great voices and they fit the new adult genre perfectly. I enjoyed their performance.

Wes (Frat House Confessions #2) was a good read by Bethany Lopez. Trixie was proud of the expose she wrote for the college newspaper last year. She does regret lying to a friend in order to get the inside scoop. She really enjoyed the time that she spent with Wes but regrets the fact that she had to lie to him. They cross paths again and they can’t deny the feelings they have for each other. I really enjoyed reading Wes and Trixie’s story and can’t wait to read more by the author.
It’s moments like these I really appreciate KU. As soon as I put down Ridges book I automatically jumped on over and grabbed Wes’s story. And even though I had a fairly good idea of what I was getting into I enjoyed the writing and the story.
I already knew Wes was the sensitive one of the brothers and I knew what Trixie had done to him. But I was really keen to see how they were going to get over all that. And to see what they were going to be dealing with when it came to the frat.
I really enjoyed the story and I liked that there was a fair bit of depth in them getting together. And I’m glad we got heaps of Ridge and Karrie and the brothers relationship getting even stronger. And I am excited to read Emma and Brody’s book and hopefully get a HEA for Pappi.
But since that’s forever away I guess I will go stalk the sisters books.
I love this book. I had some reservations about Trixie but she managed to surprise me. She and Wes are perfect together.
I absolutely adored this second-chance romance featuring a sweetheart hero and a strong-willed heroine. I’m a sucker for a strong heroine, and this love story packs a real emotional punch.
Disclaimer: I received an Advance Reader Copy at no cost from the publisher/author. All opinions in my review are my own.
I read the first book in this series, Frat House Confessions: Ridge, earlier in the year and totally fell in love with the story so I knew that this was a series that I was going to go gaga over. I couldn’t wait for the second book to come out.
This book didn’t wow me as much as the first book. My review is going to sound really critical, but I promise that this is a book that I enjoyed. I merely think that it has some areas for improvement.
Let’s start out with my all-time favorite thing about the book: the characters. I thought that the characters were more fleshed out in the first book, but the way that Lopez writes the relationships between her characters is an all-time favorite for me. She writes the relationships so seamlessly. The reader wants to crawl into the book and sink into these characters’ lives. I felt that the character development for Wes was adequate. We did learn more about him in the previous book so there was something to build off of, but I felt that Trixie’s character development was minuscule. We get a little bit of backstory to her, but there could have been more. I didn’t feel as connected to her as I did to Karrie in the first book.
The plot of the story was good but felt a little lacking in areas. If I compared the book to a pot roast then this book would have the meat of the story down but lacks the potatoes and veggies that round it out. If that makes sense? The foundation is definitely there and it definitely works, but it felt like the bare bones of a story. For instance, the conflicts in the story could have been heightened. They felt like they were rectified too quickly and without much effort. Other than that I felt that more details and scenes could have made the story better. So basically, the story is good it just needs to be fattened up a bit.
I felt that Trixie and Wes were really perfect for each other. I would have liked for them to ease into their relationship a little slower though. It felt too fast. The entire pacing of the story felt a little too fast for my liking, to be honest. I liked how their personalities played off the other though. I actually loved their personalities separately and thought that their pairing was perfect.
Overall, this was a great story that I enjoyed very much but I thought that there could have been more to it. Bethany Lopez has a talent with writing characters that you want to insert into your own life so I will definitely be continuing this series and anything else that she writes. I am definitely a fan of her storytelling and Brody’s story, book three in this series, cannot come fast enough for me!
Frat House Confessions: Wes. This is the second book in the series by Bethany Hamilton. This can be read as a stand-alone.
Wes is more of an inexperienced young male. Trixie has more experience than Wes does. Wes is a nice guy, he has his flaws but don’t we all?
Wes and Trixie have grown closer through this fraternity project.
Can Wes and Trixie put the past behind them and move on? Or will Wes hold onto a grudge and not forgive her? Will a second chance romance work for these two?
I did receive a free ARC copy of this book. I am freely leaving a honest review.
Oh, the college life. It wasn’t like my experiences so maybe that’s why I enjoy reading about it. This one was pretty tame, which I found refreshing. I love that it was about redemption, reinvention, and second chances. The story of actual brothers that got along and really cared about each other was something I really enjoyed too. It also taught good life lessons like apologizing when you’re wrong, and that it’s never too late to fix your mistakes.
A Year After She Betrays Him For A Story, Wes Temple Gives Trixie Another Chance! A Light Read About The Temple Brothers.
For Wes Temple, joining Delta and becoming a frat brother with his older brother Ridge was supposed to be a dream come true. But as soon as he joined, scandal befell the house and Wes received a good deal of the blame from his fellow Delta brothers. Wes had brought a girl inside their walls, and unbeknownst to Wes, she was using him for a story. Some of the guys thought Wes must have known what Trixie was up to all along. He hopes to rectify things this year. But Wes has another problem, too. Even though he was betrayed by Trixie, he can’t get over her almost one year later.
Beatrice has her future mapped out, but she is bored. The last person to pique her interest was Wes. It has been nearly a year since she confessed to him that she was with him to write an article. But her feelings for him had not been a lie. It hurt to lose him and his friendship, but the story had advanced her position on the school paper. Her goal to become editor of the U of M school paper is on track.
Wes and Trixie run into one another a couple times, and the feelings that hadn’t yet surfaced the year before suddenly cannot be contained. They slowly embark on a relationship, but with the pressures from school, family, their extracurricular activities, and the past mounting, staying together requires trust and self-reflection.
Wes comes from a very messed up family, yet the sense of family that he and his brothers share is truly wonderful to read about.
This book is a light quick read. It is well-written. The plot and the characters are simple. Occasionally the characters’ voices sound inauthentic. Wes’s adopted Lucifer alpha persona is very entertaining; it would have been nice to see him retain some of it by incorporating it into a more mature, experienced version of himself. This book alternates between Wes and Trixie’s POVs. I rate this book four stars.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Five Stars for this YA. These two finally get their acts together. It takes it awhile but walls are smashed, feelings are strong and forgiveness goes a long way!!
I loved this story. I loved how Wes was the shy, inexperienced one. Watching him learn and explore with Trixie was so entertaining.
I absolutely enjoyed every single thing about this book.
Highly recommended.
*I was given a free advanced copy of this book by BookSprout in exchange for my honest and voluntary review. All thoughts and opinions are those of my own.*
Amazing storyline! I have really enjoyed reading about the Temple brothers. This is book two in the series. This book is about Wes and Trixie and they have great chemistry. They have a sweet story and they have issues they have to work through.
The Frat House Confessions series is set in the collegiate world and is focused on the three Temple brothers with a past that has kept them from bonding completely because of their father’s abuse and their mother’s indifference. After reading the previous book in this series I was immediately drawn to the remaining two brothers and looked forward to them taking center stage. The wait thankfully wasn’t too long though as we now get to learn more about the truly good and kind-hearted middle brother Wes. His second chance with Trixie, the young woman who lied to him to get her newspaper story published, may start out full of anger but soon turns sensual in a romance that utterly charmed me.
Wes Temple is the proverbial good boy, one who wants to grow closer to his brothers after a childhood full of emotional and physical abuse. With all of them in college now he actually has the chance to make that happen while also giving him the chance to learn more about himself. He starts out feeling hurt because of Trixie’s lies to him and it has him wanting to find his place in the world without being tied to his brothers which makes for an empowering journey to HEA. Wes is a delicious book boyfriend, kind-hearted, sweet, and protective. There’s a vibe of naïveté surrounding him too, showing him to be a young man with very little experience. It’s the opposite of his brothers who say and do exactly what’s needed to get the girl. I found Wes to be a refreshing hero, one with tiny flaws that made me like him all the more. He has a tender heart too, one that’s been hurt by Trixie’s lies as he felt a deep connection to her that he wants to rediscover,,,as soon as he can put his bruised feelings behind him. It all makes for a rocky journey to HEA as Trixie’s expose caused lots of problems, angered a lot of people, and it’s made things just as hard for Wes. Wes though is strong on loyalty and as the story progresses a strong and supportive side to him emerges that has them taking yet one more step closer to a second chance with Trixie.
Trixie’s the opposite to Wes in many ways as she’s strong-willed, decisive in her actions, with an air of doing what she thinks is right despite the fall-out. She’s self-assured too, more confident than Wes, and it’s these differences that makes them an immensely appealing couple. Since her expose came out a year ago Trixie’s felt a bit guilty and lonely when it comes to Wes, though she knows it was a story that needed to be told. She enjoyed their time together and hasn’t found anyone since who comes close to making her feel as fulfilled as he did. While watching their push and pull play out I took on a cheerleader role and was rooting for them every step of the way as I found their pairing both sweet and sexy. Once they make their way back to each other doesn’t mean their story’s over though as there’s still lots of anger within the frat, and without, for them to deal with. Though early on I hated Trixie for hurting Wes the way she did, I couldn’t have been prouder than when she stood up to Wes’ mother when the woman again tried to tear him down. It was a Grand Gesture that had me fully supporting their pairing while warming my heart.
Though this story can stand strongly on its own I definitely think that it’s a much stronger story after reading Ridge’s story where we first meet Wes and Trixie. We see them growing closer to one another and see the guilt surrounding Trixie from one page to the next while getting just a glimpse of the fall-out of her expose. Trixie and Wes are a delightful pairing with roles that are a bit unique courtesy of a naive and inexperienced hero and a strong and confident heroine. It was a crackling connection that I can still picture in my head today. Surrounding this likable main couple is a cast of equally entertaining secondary characters. I thoroughly enjoyed Trixie’s roommates and their charming romance while I was equally overjoyed to see more about Wes’ brothers Ridge and Brody. The closeness of the brothers jumped off the page and warmed my heart for the unconditional support they give each other along with the playfulness that permeates their times together. I was also drawn to fellow frat member Papi, and his words of wisdom, and I look forward to learning more about the former seminary student. Fans of the New Adult genre will find this a delightful read with realistic and appealing main characters whose flaws have you cheering them on from the first page to the last.
I love second chance romances. You’d think after reading what feels like a million of them, I’d be over it. But the romantic in me believe that if you are meant to be, you will always find a way back to each other. Wes and Trixie are no exception. While Trixie made a tough decision to betray Wes ultimately, her feelings for him are to large to ignore. But will Wes forgive her? Will he be able to see past what she did to the person she is?
Bethany gripped me from the beginning. To the point that I needed to stay up as long as possible to get my answers to all of these questions. Gotta love second chances and page turners.
Frat House Confessions: Wes is the first book from this series that I have read. The story takes place a year after the first book and follows Wes and Trixie. I love reading their story as they work out their problems. I look forward to reading Brody’s book and will be definitely be checking out Ridge’s book.
Great story, awesome characters!!!! Wes and Trixie, definitely have a story to tell. Welcome to Frat House Confessions, book 2.
This is Wes’s story, Temple brother #2 and family member to 3 women from another Trilogy written by Bethany Lopez.
Each book is a standalone, can be read in any order, but is best read in order.
This is the second book in the series; but the first that I have read. I would recommend starting at the beginning because it will give you a better background of the characters and their history. It isn’t necessary as this can be a stand alone.
Wes and his brothers are part of a fraternity. We’d feels less than his brothers although I feel he is a perfect book boyfriend. He meets Trixie who wins the opportunity to redo the frat house and that friendship goes on ice after an article Trixie writes. Neither has forgotten the other but with time, hard feelings and misunderstandings these two have a challenging road in this second chance.
Well written with so many dynamic characters.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I received a free ARC of this book and am voluntarily writing my honest review.
I was so happy to find out Was and Tricia were getting their own story. I felt their story has so much potential when they were introduced in book 1. These two had a good friendship until it was torn apart by betrayal. A year later Tricia is given the chance to make amends. What develops is a storyline full of emotion. The characters are realistic and, as a reader, I found myself rooting for them. Watching these characters grow as individuals and as a couple made my heart happy
This was a great read. I had not read anything by Bethany Lopez prior to this book. After discovering this book is part of a series, I will definitely be reading Ridge. There is such a pull between Wes and Trixie, and it has you wanting them together from the beginning. I really enjoyed reading this book.
