Chemistry is my love language.I’ve always been able to separate feelings from chemosignals. A shot of dopamine, a dash of serotonin, and a sprinkle of oxytocin—and bam. You’re in love. And when egg meets sperm, you’re pregnant.I couldn’t even be surprised as I stared down at the little blue plus sign, because I knew exactly when and how, and with whom it happened. When: approximately five weeks ago. happened.
When: approximately five weeks ago.
Who: one night stand.
How: prophylactic malfunction.
The upside? I don’t have to go looking for a suitable mate.
Genetically, he’s the cream of the crop. His musculature is a study in symmetry and strength, his height imposing and impressive. He is a man who thrives on control and command, a man who survives on intelligence and resourcefulness. A perfect male specimen.
And the whole package is wrapped up in a flawlessly tailored suit.
I’m having this baby, and he insists we’re well-suited to have it together. And what’s worse? He wants more, in the way of love and marriage.
But love isn’t real. It’s just a product of chemistry.
And if he changes my mind about that, we’re both in trouble.

5 “Forever” Stars!!!!!
They say all good things must come to an end. Well, I’ve got a bone to pick, because why on earth would you want something good to end? And that’s where I’m at right now, in the in-between where I’m over-the-top cheesin’ and smiling so big, but at the same time also filled with sadness. Why am I feeling this way you might ask, well because the end I’ve dreaded finally arrived and it’s very bittersweet.
As soon as Well Suited landed on my kindle I was ecstatic. I couldn’t wait to open that baby up and immerse myself in the RLC world once again. You know that feeling you get when you’re anticipating something and once it’s in your possession you just want to devour it at all costs? I’ve wanted and waited for this book for I don’t know how long. I desperately needed Katherine’s story from the very moment she was introduced in Piece of Work. And once I started reading there was no stopping. I tried guys, I really truly did, knowing that this was the last book *sad face* I wanted to read as slow as possible to prolong its ending. But who was I kidding? Of course I finished it in one sitting and of course all I want to do is start from the beginning and read it again and again and again.
Katherine has got to be one of my most favorite heroines. She’s well-read. She’s intelligent. She’s unique. And she’s unlike any other. She likes lists and order. She speaks her mind and tells you exactly how she’s feeling. She’s meticulous and doesn’t like for anything to disturb her way of life in any way. And above everything, Katherine wholeheartedly does not believe in love. She’s seen firsthand what so-called “love” can do to people and she wants no part in that. Her orderly life is just that, order, and in no way did she ever think it’d be turned in every which way.
THEO! THEO! THEO! Theodore Bane is most definitely the swooniest! I knew I liked him as soon as he was introduced in Work in Progress as Tommy’s twin. And oh brother he had me smitten and giddy af! Theo is the most selfless there is. He cares deeply for the people he loves and will do everything to protect them. A protector through and through. He had a heart of gold. I wanted him to have every single good and happy thing, because he most definitely deserved that and much more. Sweet lord I just couldn’t enough of Theo and wanted an abundance more.
From the first moment Kate and Theo lay eyes on each other there’s no stopping the attraction. It’s instant and electrifying. And both can’t stop the undeniable chemistry they have. They go home together and after that one night Theo knows he has to have more of Kate. But it’s not easy because Kate doesn’t want more. But that changes when she takes a pregnancy test and it comes out positive. There’s nothing left to do but tell Theo after months of radio silence on her end. As soon as Theo finds out he’s going to be a father, that was it for me, his reaction solidified him as my favorite.
Well Suited was the perfect ending to Staci Hart’s AH-MAZING series to date. It’s authentic and real and just so smart. Staci’s brilliant writing just gets me every time. I don’t know how she does it, she’s simply magical and wondrous. This book is a MUST read. This series is a MUST read. Do yourself a favor and meet the RLC women and their men. It pains me to say goodbye to this group of characters, but I do so knowing that they’ll stay with me forever. #RLCForLife
I LOVED this book!
I’m a fan of a good accidental baby story, and this was a great one. I loved the heroine’s quirkiness and the hero’s ability to understand her needs.
I haven’t read the previous books in the series, and that didn’t impact my enjoyment of the book at all.
I definitely recommend this one!
NO SPOILERS!
I loved, loved, LOVED Well Suited! The storyline and characters went above and beyond my expectations, and I loved the author’s writing style. Staci Hart blew me away with the entire Red Lipstick Coalition series, especially Well Suited, and it has been one of my favorite series EVER!
The storyline was perfect. Staci Hart is a brilliant storyteller, and Well Suited was another masterpiece of contemporary romance from her. I loved everything about Theo and Katherine’s love story. It was sweet, sexy, charming, funny, emotional, and everything in between, and I couldn’t have loved it more. Theo and Katherine’s journey has been one of my favorites in the RLC series, and I was beyond ecstatic with the conclusion.
The characters completely stole my heart. Theo and Katherine were everything I hoped they’d be and more. Theo was super sweet, sexy, and swoon-worthy, and his love and devotion to Katherine, their child, and his family totally won me over. Katherine was unlike any heroine I’ve come across. She was serious and loved planning and rules and the like, but she also showed glimpses of vulnerability, which I really loved. Theo and Katherine were perfect together, and it was a true pleasure experiencing their love story along with them.
Well Suited and the entire Red Lipstick Coalition series have been my favorite love stories from Staci Hart so far, and all of them are absolute MUST READ romances! They made me laugh, swoon, smile, and feel the full spectrum of emotions, and I would HIGHLY recommend them! Staci Hart is one of my top favorite authors, and I can’t wait to devour more from her!
I have been anxiously awaiting this book since the teaser at the end of Work in Progress, and although reading that first will give a little more depth to this story, it truly is a standalone and reading others in the series is not required.
Katherine is one of four best friends, about whom the Red Lipstick Coalition series is based. She is a librarian and loves her job. She is also very rigid and structured, and doesn’t believe that love is anything more than body chemistry and instinct to procreate successfully.
Theo is the twin brother of Tommy from Work in Progress. He and Tommy were raised by their hard working mother after their father abandoned the family when they were kids. Now they all live together in a large divided house to help care for her since she has Parkinson’s disease.
Katherine and Theo meet on a night out with the group of friends and have a one night stand. After that, Katherine blows him off until her positive pregnancy test. Not having a real father himself, Theo is excited to play a big role in his child’s life and has a proposition for Katherine that she can’t refuse.
I had a real affinity for Katherine in Work in Progress, and loved getting to know her better in this book. She has good reasons for being the way she is, but Theo really brings out the best in her. She is very logical and straightforward which makes her seem cold, but she really isn’t. Theo is also very logical and methodical, but growing up with a twin brother and a loving and understanding mother also taught him about love and relationships with other people. He is so good for Katherine, helping her learn how to open up and embrace emotion. And Katherine, as Tommy points out to Theo late in the book, helps Theo to not be so self-centered. Sure, he is giving and loving and supportive, but doesn’t realize he does it on his own terms. They both help each other grow as humans while growing a human (Ha! I couldn’t resist that one).
A surprise appearance by Katherine’s mother really helps Theo understand why Katherine is like she is, but his outside perspective also helps to heal their relationship.
I really enjoyed this book and the epilogue was the perfect ending to the RLC series.
From the first sentence, to the last I was completely hooked. I am absolutely obsessed with Katherine and could not get enough of both her spoken and inner dialogue throughout this book. Theo was so swoon worthy.
The chemistry was fun to read too. And the awkwardness! Definitely recommend this book.
I received this book as an ARC in exchange for a honest review
Well Suited is the weirdly brilliant story of two incompatible people, Katherine and Theo, who have a one night stand after being introduced through mutual friends.
The prologue starts with a seduction that shouldn’t turn you on but interestingly enough it does and without any sexualities said between the two.
You see Katherine is very clinical, almost robotic. It’s not as if she has low-self esteem because she comes across very self-assured but recognizes how others see her too. Katherine knows that to the opposite sex, the detached way she approaches everything in her life is a turn-off. Thus her immediately distancing herself from Theo.
I found that I was utterly charmed by Katherines and what may have come across as haughty I found cute and quirky.
Theo, on the other hand, is a playboy of sorts and finds himself enchanted with the oddness of Katherine. While she tries to avoid him, he is continually seeking out ways to run into her again. I thought Theo seemed to fall for Katherine rather quickly seeing that he usually isn’t a relationship type of man. But Staci did such a great job of making the two seemingly incompatible characters compatible that I didn’t mind the insta-love from Theo.
Well Suited was a fun and emotional read that I found enthralled with from the first page to the last. Staci Hart’s unique characters and writing style gained her a new fan, and I am excited to dive into another one of her books.
I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS BOOK!!! Staci Hart just made Well Suited my favorite book from hers!!
This story and the characters were amazing; I literally could not put the book down. Well Suited was giving me all the feels, I was swooning like crazy. Theo was PERFECT! I loved him so freaking much, he was so sweet and he never let anything drive him away. Katherine was someone who is used to have a plan; she doesn’t like being taken into a new direction without her knowing what is ahead. I loved how Theo never rushed nor pushed Katherine and I just loved that he was so understanding but also knew what he wanted.
These two characters were perfect for each other. I just cannot get over how caring and amazing Theo was. Staci Hart really ended this series with a bang. A must read!!!!
Where do I even begin. Kathrine is a firecracker and she walks to her own beat. She was so not prepared for this road block in her life and road block meaning Theo. Theo was swoony, patient, kind and wanted the very best for Katherine! Theo was the perfect match for Katherine.
This book was a excellent ending to the RLC book’s and I will forever love the girls in this series!
4.5 stars
Well, it’s over. The Red Lipstick Coalition pulled out those red tubes, faced the world and conquered their futures. And I’m so happy and sad at the same time because I feel like these girls have become my friends and I’m not ready to say goodbye!
Ever since the sneak peek at the end of Work in Progress, I’ve been DYING for Katherine & Theo’s story. And, per usual, Staci Hart didn’t disappoint in delivering another incredible book filled with love, friendship, family & plenty of laughs.
“But that’s the beauty of love. It can be whatever you need it to be. You can make your own rules.”
We’ve been getting glimpses of Katherine ever since the first book, and I knew there would be so much more to the frosty girl who speaks her mind. I never would have expected how many layers there actually were, and as they were pulled back piece by piece her true beauty, inside and out, was finally revealed. She throws around facts like gospel and doesn’t believe in anything that can’t be physically proven. So when life throws a curveball at her, she makes plans and lists based off her books, keeping her heart out of the equation.
Theo was such a fun addition to WIP, and I was really hoping he was going to be paired with Katherine (or given his own book!) and I definitely squealed a bit when he was revealed to be the hero in Well Suited. He is gorgeous, successful, and the perfect example of never judging a book by it’s cover. Underneath the expensive suits is a true romantic, a man who wants nothing more than to have a family and love them unconditionally. Too bad the one girl he finally feels something towards has a complete aversion to love.
This book is the epitome of opposites attract, with Theo trying to break through Katherine’s rough exterior, and show her that sometimes things don’t always go to plan. I loved their banter and playfulness, and Theo’s willingness to stick to the rules to make her happy.
While I would have loved more appearances by her friends, there was the perfect amount to show their loyalty and the depths of their friendship while still keeping it Katherine centric, and the epilogue was absolutely perfect. The family aspect was a great addition to build the foundation of these characters, and help guide them on their journey.
I admit I am sad to see these characters go, but it was a perfect send off to one of my favorite series!
YOU GUYS! Theo and Katherine are so wonderful. SO WONDERFUL. Theo’s a straight up sweetheart through and through and Katherine’s his perfect foil. He loves teasing flashes of emotion out of her when she’s so stoic around others. He loves watching her come to trust him and herself. He’s patient and kind and MAGNIFICENT.
Which isn’t to say everything’s easy for these two. It’s not. In order to keep Katherine from running in the opposite direction, Theo has to take things slow and easy. He understands what she needs and finds a way to give it to her time and time again. And when he makes a mistake, he doesn’t do things by halves and he ends up throwing everyone for a loop.
For her part, Katherine thrives on rules. They help her make sense of things and keep her from being overwhelmed. Theo’s approach is exactly the one she needs and it gives her time to learn to trust him at a time when she’s feeling sort of out of control.
An unexpected pregnancy will do that to a person, don’t you think?
Anywho. THESE TWO! They do things a little backwards, but they make it work. Eventually. AND THEY ARE SO GREAT TOGETHER. *heart eyes*
For the record, I love how this series ended, but I’m sad to see it go. I’ve loved watching these ladies find themselves and their special someone and I’m going to miss them (which is pretty much what I say at the end of EVERY Staci Hart series.).
What a beautifully enchanting story with explores the true love. The characters in this book seem like friends as they challenge your definition of love. We meet Theo who is set up with Katherine on a blind date. Theo is clean cut, tall dark and handsome and is most comfortable in a suit. Katherine a very beautiful young women who speaks her mind, must be in control, and makes all decisions based on facts. Theo and Kate hit it off unexpectedly and have a one night stand with a condom malfunction. This is their story of family, trust, fate, magic, acceptance and true love. You’ll laugh, sigh, and cry as Staci weaves a wickedly awesome story. Definitely a five star plus read.
an Staci Hart write a bad book? Oh heck no! RLC will go down as one of my favorite series! Staci took girls who wouldn’t be a first pick for most guys and turned them into girls that every guy would want! Theo and Katherine make the best couple. They fit together perfectly and go hand in hand. Theo was perfect for Katherine. He never tried to change her and accepted her for who she was. I was sad to see this end because I loved all of the RLC girls. I’m going today to get myself some red lipstick!
Beautiful, angsty and just freakin perfect is how I would describe Well Suited. Well Suited is the kind of book that begs to be devoured and will give you all the feels.
Well Suited is the fourth book in the Red Lipsitck Coalition and follows the story of Theo and Katherine. Right off the bat, I was captivated by these two. They couldn’t be more different if they tried, but their chemistry was way off the charts. I just knew they’d be explosive together and I was not disappointed. Theo and Katherine shared one perfect night together and if Katherine had it her way, that would be all there was, but fate had other plans for these two. In a matter of moments, two blue lines will turn Katherine and Theo’s world upside down. It’s terrifying. It’s scary. It could be hands down the best thing to ever happen to these two…
Well Suited is an emotional and heartwarming romance that just tugs at your heartstings. Katherine likes her life to be filled with order and rules. She likes her space and rarely lets anyone get close to her. She is strong and fiercely independent. Theo is her complete opposite. When it comes to love, Theo wants it all. His perfect match, his soul mate, the one that fate intended. But, Katherine doesn’t believe in any of that. Love is a word she doesn’t understand, but if Theo has it his way, she’ll soon discover that being in love is the best possible thing. It won’t be easy conceiving Katherine that there is more to their relationship than the life they’ve created. But, Theo has the patience of a saint and won’t back down from what he wants….
Well Suited was everything that I was looking for and then some. I couldn’t put this book down and even wild horses couldn’t stop me from devouring Theo and Katherine’s story. Their story filled with so much emotion, you could just feel it oozing off the pages. By the time I got to chapter 28, I was a mess. My eyes couldn’t stop tearing up and didn’t stop until I reached the very end. Theo & Katherine were just so perfect for one another and I loved every single second of their story. Staci Hart has certainly outdone herself with Well Suited. I laughed. I swooned. I raged. I teared up. I am so full of emotion and am just loving every single second of it. It was such a joy to get lost in these characters. To see them grow and change as the story went on. To see them fall in love and fight for what they wanted. The road to happily ever after wasn’t an easy one for Theo and Katherine, but the journey was so worth it.
WOW….I always say that the newest Red Lipstick Coalition book is my favorite, but for real…Well Suited is my favorite of the series!
I had a hard time picturing Katherine (she dislikes nicknames LOL) with any certain man, but Theo really was so perfect for her! I loved seeing how they just got each other. Theo knew exactly what Katherine needed to feel better in a situation that was out of her control.
This book had all the feels, even though they would’ve made Katherine uncomfortable.
So happy to read Theo and Katherine’s story. These two were made for each other. He was the Ying to her Yang. She was an organized detailed planner, he was a patient beautiful soul. I’ve never seen a man so patient when it came to organized chaos (you’ll have to read the book to know what I mean). Katherine fought the urge to fall, or so she thought but when she did fall Theo was right there waiting on her. This was a beautifully told story about when the heart wants what it wants there is no getting in its way. Awesome book by Staci Hart.
What an amazing book !!!! Well Suited by Staci Hart steal my heart. From the very first paiges I’ve enjoyed it, the whole story sucked me in comepeletely. I’ve read it in one sitting, because Mrs Hart writes books that YOU CAN’T PUT DOWN.
Staci Hart invited us for anoter adventure with Red Lipstic Coalition ! And I can assure every reader, Well Suited and the rest books from this series are absolutely must read. I like how author telling us a story about people, who fall in love with each other, even if they try to fight with their feelings. Staci Hart has wrote Well Suited in her own style, style which is iunique, which create beautiful storyline, with great characters to catch up. It’s not only good love story, but also book written in very good way.
Theo ad Katherine are so opposite… I was affraid how they will match together. And as I loved Staci writting and Theo, I need time to like Katherine more. She was very suprising character for me, because made me feel cold and distance. Thank God Theo made me feel warm… I feel in love with Kate with small steps, and when I was finnishing book my heart was full not only of Theo but aLSO Kate too.
As in every romance Theo and Katherene have bad and good moments… they made me cry, they made me laugh… they made me feel hot obviously. They different, but chemistry is overwhelming. Love is neverending, Kate maybe doesn’t believe in this kind of feelings and relationships between two people, but Theo showed her, that when we meet perfect match nothing else is matter.
Highly recomend this book!
Can you find my pulse? No? Because I can’t – this book slayed me. Absolutely in-cred-i-ble.
This is the close to an amazing quartet, and dare I say… Staci saved the best RLC story for last. Well Suited has just the right mix of heart, humor, personal growth, and love. I have always been eagerly awaiting Katherine’s story, as since the beginning, she has fascinated me. In many ways, I see myself in her, especially how she processes things rationally above all else. So getting to read an entire story about her was so much fun, not to mention the plot was everything. After that preview at the end of Work in Progress? Girl, I had to have this book immediately.
When I say I loved it, I really mean that I DEVOURED this novel – I seriously put off all my obligations to read it (because how could I NOT?)… I was even that weirdo who was walking around campus with my Kindle, read-walking. Yeah, it’s safe to say this book is binge-able.
We’ve already covered that Katherine is iconic and being in her head is more than a treat, but my favorite parts of her story are that a) the plot is so beautifully out of left field than what you would expect for Katherine and b) how well suited she and Theo were. I know it’s common to say that couples complement each other well in romance novel reviews, but that feels like an insult to Theo and Katherine – they are seriously made for each other, and it was SO freaking cute to read. They were perfectly matched, and they understood each other instantly. Cut from the same cloth. Their lovey-dovey moments had me squealing with joy… I loved how Theo saw her for more than Katherine, how she was the mysterious Kate, how Katherine appreciated and complemented Theo’s orderliness, how she cared for him always. Talk about an OTP!
Speaking of Theo… All of Staci’s heros are absolutely salacious, but Theo has to take the cake for me. He’s just so logical, so consistent, so thoughtful, so measured… The rational, cool and collected alternative to his fiery twin, Tommy. AKA: My. Type. Of. Man. Staci, can you make Theo into a real-life guy and kindly send him my way? I’m for real, I’d marry the crap out of this dude.
My adoration for Theo aside, I loved how they grew together through the book. It has been a long time since I have read a character arc so realistic. Especially in regards to Katherine learning how to be flexible and how to believe in love… There was so much potential for it to go off the rails into the realm of unrealistic, but Staci kept it so REAL, and I loved feeling as if I were privy to such a journey. More things were revealed about the both of them as the book went on that gave insight to why they each were the way they were, and I loved that. The growth and progress wasn’t immediate and it took so long that you felt like banging your head against the wall at some points, but it was so worth it. To me, at least.
As always, I loved the writing style and the dual POV narration. There is something so effortless about how Staci crafts stories and relays them to the reader, and it’s one of my favorite parts about her novels. It was so natural, so organic – it was immensely easy to suspend my disbelief that this wasn’t a real group of people, y’know? (Not to mention this is the fourth book involving all of them, so lots of character development has happened.) It was fast paced without being cursory, which is always appreciated, and I loved the organizational structure of having the book split up into three sections: first, second, and third trimester. And, what’s new, her chapter titles were on point. So witty.
Even though they are such analytical, practical people, the book still retained all the signature Staci heart and humor. There were so many one-liners and things that were said throughout that I just had to highlight. Sometimes, Katherine especially would say something not even intending it to be funny, but it just was. Loved it.
And the attention to detail, the carrying-through of little things from the previous books? It was not lost on me. Like, for example, Katherine has a “Team Tommy” t-shirt that she mentions in Work In Progress, and it’s brought up again here, this time as the punchline for a really cute little jealous joke.
The main conflict in the story, without giving away any spoilers, literally made my heart turn over in my chest. I couldn’t peel my eyes away if you paid me – I was all in. Even though I knew in the back of my mind that things will turn out okay – they have to turn out okay, my heart couldn’t handle otherwise – I was still anxious AF through the whole thing.
In case you haven’t figured it out by now… READ THIS BOOK. Well, you’ve got to read the whole series first, but READ THIS BOOK FOR THE LOVE OF SPREADSHEETS.
I’m in love with Theo from the first moment he appears in Work of Progress. Always polite, thoughtful, loving and caring son, protective and beyond all this the icing on the cake: Theo is perfectly beautiful.
When I realized what his romantic pair would be, I was pretty worried about how Staci Hart would lead the freaky and weird Katherine to make a connection to Theo and the reader. Of course Staci did not disappoint, creating a fun and enjoyable plot to read with a touch of drama.
Theo was charmed by Katherine’s way from the first second he saw her, and when finding out he was going to be a father, was even more anxious to bond with the difficult and complicated girl. But Kate and Theodore are not on the same page, each one has a goal and a very different desire and she does everything to keep him as far from her heart as she can because she does not believe in love.
But the guy is insistent and patient and slowly melts ice walls that surround her heart. It was beautiful to accompany the discovery of the real meaning of love throughout the book and I was even more passionate with the ending.
I’m mad at myself that I didn’t reach for Staci Hart’s books before Red Lipstick Coalition, seriously. With this series the author gained a new fan for life! Well Suited just confirmed that from now on I will reach for every title that comes out from under Staci’s pen. I was already excited in the previous parts about Katherine’s story, and Theo immediately caught my attention in Work in Progress. I’m very glad that Staci decided to connect these two, because their story is EVERYTHING.
A night full of passion. Accidental pregnancy. A chance to prove that they are well suited. Will Theo be able to tear down Katherine’s walls and make her fall in love with him?
From the very beginning it was clear that their relationship would be something more. Something that began as a sudden physical attraction has evolved into the most beautiful love that can be found. Although Katherine tried to separate her feelings, Theo’s determination and stubbornness made it impossible to keep them in check. This couple is so swoony, so damn sweet that my heart is constantly swelling up. I still admire Katherine who is well-read, intelligent and organized. She’s honest and she always says what she thinks. To top it off, this woman doesn’t believe in love at all and she doesn’t want to have anything to do with this feeling. And Theo… Theo makes every reader give him her heart on the palm of her hand (along with the panties). He’s devoted, caring and so adorable! I love him so much!
RLC is officially my favorite series with a pack of friends. Each single book in this series is amazing and I recommend it with all my heart! You will swoon, you will laugh and your heart will burst from happiness. Staci Hart put all the rays of sunshine in these stories. A tear turns in my eye at the thought that this is the end. Maybe Staci will think of another friend for the girls? I’m not ready to part with them!
I love this book and series so much! Staci Hart is an amazing author and I love how she tells a story! Theo and Katherine are so great! I loved reading their journey. I loved how they both struggled to be what each other needed. I loved the honesty and beautiful feelings of them!
One of my favorite books lines ever: “Just because I don’t need saving doesn’t mean it doesn’t feel good to be saved.” amazing- just amazing. Even strong people need to know they’ve got people who will fight for them. Theo is wonderful and selfless and just dreamy! I loved watching Katherine grow and her opening up to Theo and her mom. I love her friendships with the girls.
I’m sad to see this series end but it is absolutely one of my favorites of all times! Thank you Staci Hart for the journey!
