Chemistry is my love language.I’ve always been able to separate feelings from chemosignals. A shot of dopamine, a dash of serotonin, and a sprinkle of oxytocin—and bam. You’re in love.And when egg meets sperm, you’re pregnant.I couldn’t even be surprised as I stared down at the little blue plus sign, because I knew exactly when and how, and with whom it happened.When: approximately five weeks ago. happened.
When: approximately five weeks ago.
Who: one night stand.
How: prophylactic malfunction.
The upside? I don’t have to go looking for a suitable mate.
Genetically, he’s the cream of the crop. His musculature is a study in symmetry and strength, his height imposing and impressive. He is a man who thrives on control and command, a man who survives on intelligence and resourcefulness. A perfect male specimen.
And the whole package is wrapped up in a flawlessly tailored suit.
I’m having this baby, and he insists we’re well-suited to have it together. And what’s worse? He wants more, in the way of love and marriage.
But love isn’t real. It’s just a product of chemistry.
And if he changes my mind about that, we’re both in trouble.

OMG, this is the perfect romance.
Hilarious, original, tender as a cupcake, and the hero is all in from instant one. I love Theo for all his protectiveness, his loyalty and his clever understanding of the quirkiest, smartest woman ever, Katherine.
My heart is full of love right now
How is a baby made? With a beautiful night described in words of carnal poetry.
This is the fourth and last novel in the Red Lipstick Coalition about four friends who find love in the most unexpected, amusing ways.
As soon as I knew about Katherine getting an unexpected result of her own after one night of unbridled passion with gorgeous Theo, this craving started in me to read her story.
The entire pregnancy unfolds throughout the chapters in this funny, tender novel, and I couldn’t be happier about it.
Strict and logical, Katherine is still adorably quirky and riddled with doubts, rules and control issues. Whilst Theodore is one alpha male worthy of a thousand swoony sighs for all his qualities: he takes care of his mum, protects his brother, respects all of the many needs of Kate’s, and manages to be all manly and sexy while caring and thoughtful.
I’ve never read a romance like this.
Funny, endearing, and so steamy it opens up all your skin pores 😀 There’s a ‘breakfast food’ moment that is absolutely priceless!
As the relationship grows, the passion also becomes a beauty of feelings and deep connection. Sigh…
Before the happiness, though, there’s a time for trials, and it came from a source that matched the characters perfectly and their very core psychology. It still broke my heart to see them fail when they were obviously so much in tune. And the final part is bursting with tremendous, heart-wrenching family drama and the soul-lifting kind of happiness that every reader deserves. Perfect romance.
Well Suited by Staci Hart
Book boyfriends of the world! Take notice. There’s a new man in town, and he’s going to out swoon every last one of you.
Theo Bane. It’s just a name, but the man behind that name is so much more than I could have ever expected. I loved him in his brother’s book, Work in Progress, but on his own is where he really shines. His complete and total adoration for Katherine and the patience he shows when trying to convince her of all they could be together had me melting into a puddle. You have to read it to get the full Theo blast. You’ll never be the same.
Katherine is Theo’s equal in every way. She reminded me a lot of Janie in Penny Reid’s series. She was logical to the point of over-analyzing every potential situation, but everything she did came from a place of love…even if she had no idea that’s what was happening.
I cannot get enough of Hart’s writing style. She never tries to oversimplify a storyline or make it easy for the reader. Not only does she make your heart work for that HEA, but she does it in such an arresting way that you crave her brand of torture. Her writing is like poetry, and the words and sentences float along the pages. It’s striking, and not often found in the romance genre. The emotions you feel take center stage in this one. You get to fall in love with falling in love, and it’s a breathtaking ride.
5 STARS
Katherine’s life doesn’t function without order and rules. Having been raised by free spirits, Katherine learned at a young age that she had to bring order to her life and her parents. For one night, she embraced an attraction for Theo and let herself fly but never expects a baby to be the result. Yet she pragmatically approaches her pregnancy and she reveals her news to Theo, what she never expects is for Theo to embrace the pregnancy too. Theo is excited to be a father and knows he wants to be involved. He is also a huge fan of Katherine, loving her approach to life and knowing he wants this woman in his world. Theo is the care giver, the planner in his family which makes accepting Katherine’s rules acceptable to him. As they embark on this new adventure, will it be possible for Katherine to realize love is possible? Or will she stay trapped in her world of rules? I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.
I wasn’t entirely sure I would like Katherine’s book. I loved the first 3 books in this series but she always seemed kind of brisk. However this author brings her to life. It’s the most romantic of them all.
Katherine has her rules and then some. She doesn’t let anyone close and when you meet her mother you understand why.
Theo is Tommy’s twin brother. He keeps everything working and takes care of everyone.
These two fit together perfectly. Yet Katherine or Kate as he calls her, stays walled up in her emotions.
Theo impressed me with this resilience and patience with her. He really could not have met a better match.
This is easy to fall in love with characters and a great add to the series.
I thought this was a good read. The writing flowed well, and I liked Theo and Katherine together eventually. It was hard for me to like Katherine at the beginning. While I understand the circumstances that shaped her to be the way she was, anyone that can keep referring to their baby as an embryo (although I realize that is the technical term) even after hearing the heartbeat is hard for me to connect to. Although I was happy to see her emotional development throughout the book. Theo was a great guy. He was a protector and a giver. They did have great chemistry together, and I felt like they complimented each other. I was happy to see them make it to their HEA. Even though I was VERY sad to see this series end, this story was a good way to end it!
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.
I love this book so much.
Katherine is smart, beautiful and guarded. She’s closed off to love after seeing first hand what can happen in relationships she knows it can be one big mess. Although a little irritating you end up loving her
Theo is gorgeous and a TWIN, a twin people. We meet his twin in Tommy in Work In Progress and now we get the lovely Theo. From the very first meeting between him and Katherine he just KNOWS. The connection is instant and he knows what he wants.
How does a woman closed off from love and a man wanting more work? Well you just have to read this beauty to see if it does end up working
Staci Hart never fails to write books that book you in and Well Suited definitely hooks you. You’ll be captivated from beginning to end and never want it to stop.
Well Suited is a fun and emotional read. A little heartbreaking and a lot fun and the perfect ending to the perfect series.
Theo and Katherine take you for one interesting and emotional roller coaster. You can’t help but fall in love with these two. Theo is the dream catch and Katherine lives life my rules and does not deviate (usually). When these two are faced with a big decision after one night together. Theo and Katherine have this insane chemistry that can’t be ignored, yet can they be honest with each other and build a future together? The entire time reading this, you can’t help but want to shake and yell at these two sometimes, but their journey is worth the emotional experience. Theo and Katherine just take you into their lives and make you part of it. Read their story, you won’t be disappointed!
“Best Hart work to date, 5 stars”
Katherine is of a breed all her own. She’s controlled, logical, and probably genius level smart. Katherine doesn’t believe in fate or love, only solid scientific facts. Then she meets Theo and he changes everything. He makes her feel things she’s never experienced and she starts to question what she knows. Will he be able to make her change her mind?
Theo has wanted Katherine since the moment he met her. She challenges him in ways no one ever has. But Katherine wants nothing to do with him and a relationship. One thing is for sure, if anyone can change her mind, its him.
I FLOVED Well Suited. First off, the title couldn’t fit the couple more perfectly. The amount of detail Hart had to go into to in order to write Katherine in the way she did was off the charts. She took a character that would have been easy to hate and make her loveable. Theo is just as swoon worthy as his brother but in his own way. Then of course you got to see bits and pieces of rest of the Red Lipstick Coalition group just rounding the story out. I am both sad to see this series end and excited to see what Hart has in store for us next.

This was the perfect ending to a series that celebrates women and the quirks we all have. The Bane Boys are just awesome and Katherine’s sharp wit made me laugh out loud. I’m sorry to see the series end, but I can definitely see plenty of re-reads in the future.
I fell hard for this book. But fell even harder for Katherine and Theo. Fell for the love that blossomed, flourishing on the page. There was something special with this book. Maybe because it was a conclusion. Maybe because the character growth. Maybe it was the journey Katherine and Theo went on. Whatever the reason this book was magical. A story that sticks with you long after you finish. It brings the feels, the steam, and the tears. It’s a goodbye and a beginning. And I loved every moment of it.
4.5 stars
“You are an anomaly in my universe, and ignoring that fact is a testament to my devotion. I won’t break the rules. But I hope you do.”
I think I found my favorite boyfriend in this series. Ah, what am I saying? Theo easily made his way into my top 10 of all-time-fav book boyfriends. He’s almost too perfect to be true (well, actually he isn’t. So… :D). Even his flaws seem to be perfect. Thank you Staci Hart for bringing Theo into my life. And I won’t give up hope, that some day I’ll find my very own Theo!
“We’re like magnets trying to get at each other through a sheet of plastic – not enough to stop the pull, but just enough to keep us apart.”
That being said, Well Suited is my next favorite story in this series after Player. I love the chemistry between Katherine and Theo. Even though they are so different from each other, they just click and you hear this click loud and clear every time they come together. They just fit perfectly and they balance each other like no other.
I really enjoyed Katherine’s rational and serene nature. The way she stuck to her beliefs and tried to find workarounds to match Theo’s needs without sacrificing them. And I love how Theo responds to her nature, accepts it and works with it to match her needs, to make her see what love is and that magic can be real.
Though I love everything about this book, my most favorite parts are where the girls are back together. Their dynamic is mesmerizing and make me wish I was part of this group of beautiful souls.
“His fingertips grazed the curve of my shoulder, sparking fire. And magic, for a moment, was real.”
Well Suited is the last installment in the Red Lipstick Coalition and its story is one of the most fascinating in this series. The magic of love sweeps you off your feet and makes you fall in love with the characters like no other.
“You love me in equal measure to my love for you. It’s why we’re so well suited.”
After reading this book, I think we can all agree that we want Theodore Bane to be our baby daddy. The man who’d be over the moon to claim being your partner in life, the man who’d do just about anything to make you happy and feel every single ounce of love and passion he has for you.
“I was hers, and I’d do anything to make her mine. And lucky for both of us, I never failed.”
Theo absolutely made me swoon so hard—no doubt about that—although Katherine might’ve been a bit of an odd ball on top of being incredibly smart and rigid. She was very logical and stern when it came to her rules and what she believed. But these two couldn’t be a more perfect match for one another. They understood and got each other on a level that no one else could. They had chemistry that just ran wild and sparked so bright from the very beginning. And it was only amplified by the fact that they were having a baby together.
“I’d never believed in fate, never subscribed to soul mates. But if ever there was a man who was my exact match, my most perfect equal, it was Theo.”
I can’t believe that we’ve reached the end of the line for the Red Lipstick Coalition. This series—the journey these four fierce and very relatable ladies has taken us on—has been nothing but an unforgettable adventure. It’s definitely bittersweet to say goodbye, but having Theo and Katherine close this series was truly the icing on the cake. We’ve waited for this moment and damn was it utterly worth it.
5 With Love CROWNS
Well-Suited wraps up what has been my favorite Staci Hart novel. Like its predecessors, it is the tale of a unique and brilliant woman who dares to push beyond her comforts and control to really live a life that is worth living.
Kate is emotionally aloof. She doesn’t ascribe to feelings and struggles to connect. She thrives on order and logics and rules. This is where she is comfortable, and I got it. I am also more at ease when I know the rules and operate within them. That being said, I loved Kate’s evolution, seeing her come alive and open her heart.
Theo couldn’t have been more perfect. Just like his predecessors, he never seeks to change Kate or make her different. He accepts and loves every part of her. He emboldens her, makes her brave. Each of the heroes, Theo included, has been true secondary characters to their leading ladies, working hard to show them the worth that they have on their on, independent of them. It is refreshing and perfect.
What really sealed the deal for me was the idea that love isn’t the same for everyone. Couples and families make their own rules, finding what works for them. In a world, where we often want to pass judgment based on our rules, we overlook the happiness and love that exists, simply because we don’t understand. Well-Suited exemplifies that love exists in my forms – words and actions. Love is not defined by one set of rules. It is the embodiment of understanding and providing for each other in equal measure in any form that is satisfying and brings happiness, and I was enamored by the themes of this book just as much as the characters.
I have not for one minute been quiet about my love for this series. It has been its own little tiny nugget of feminism in this romantic world. It has been journey of four friends who have resonated with me. I have seen myself in each of them. I have understood their insecurities, and have grown in self love and acceptance. It has been one of the best series I’ve read because it centered around love – familial, romantic, and sisterly. I’m truly sad to say goodbye to these phenomenal female characters.
After meeting Theodore in the previous book, I knew he would have a great story ahead, especially with Katherine. Out of all of the girls, Katherine is the least emotional and the most structured. She doesn’t do affection and works in a library, which mimics her life, consisting of order and organization. Even in the way she interacts and talks to Theo has a very controlled manner to it, all clinical and factual. However, Theo is aware of Katherine’s discomfort towards her feelings with him and appeals to her logical and practical side. They are having a baby together, so naturally they should get to know each other and spend more time together if they are going to raise this child. But Theo is also a romantic and has every intention of wooing Katherine until she can see for herself that love doesn’t have to be a myth or something to run away from. I enjoyed their dialogue because Katherine simply states things so matter of factly and Theo absolutely adores her in every way. But the reader also gets to see why Katherine is so obstinate in her beliefs and how she slowly discovers that while love is hard to explain, it is not to be avoided. I wouldn’t have minded a bit more angst, but I liked seeing how much Theo accommodated Katherine’s wishes and how Katherine came to certain important realizations over time on her own. Good final book to a fun series.
I am so loving the cover for this book! Staci Hart has done again and made me fall in with these characters. I have really enjoyed this series and am sad to see it end.
I loved Katherine and Theodore, they are the perfect match. These two have so much in common but neither thinks the other feels the same way they do. When they find out they are expecting a baby together things change. Their story was such a sweet and emotional read.
Well Suited is my favorite book in the Red Lipstick Coalition. I can’t wait to see what Staci Hart writes next. If your looking for a book that will give you all the feels, this is it.
This entire series, I’m so sad to see it come to an end. It’s been so refreshing to read about a group of girls that are so realistic—characters I could easily relate to on different levels. Whether it was something from a past version of myself or a part of me now.
“His name was on my lips, written on my heart, etched on my soul. I’d never believed in fate, never subscribed to soul mates. But if ever there was a man who was my exact match, my most perfect equal, it was Theo.”
Now I see why Katherine and Theo were saved for the end. Katherine was such a unique female lead. Although headstrong, she was also unapologetically herself. Quirky and funny when she didn’t even try. Incredibly smart, and never afraid to tell it like it is. She was set in her ways, and change didn’t come easily to her—something I can most definitely understand.
“I’d happily spend the rest of my days making sure she was happy. Because my reward was her. It was my family. It was my child and our future.”
And Theo—where do I even begin?! This guy’s swoon-factor was on a level all on its own. So incredibly sweet and protective of the ones he loved, and irrevocably so. This included Katherine to much of her dismay. He was set on removing brick, after brick of her wall, and I loved it. It was so fun to experience that gradual shift in her.
“But that’s the beauty of love. It can be whatever you need it to be. You can make your own rules.”
Well Suited, like all the other books in this series, was a sweet, feel-good storyline I couldn’t get enough of. It was incredibly fun and had its own poetic sense about it. The swoon factor, top notch. And this was the perfect ending to one of the most empowering, girl positive series I have ever read! I dare you to read it, and not be able to relate to at least one of these girls. I found a little piece of myself in each and every one, and I’m definitely going to miss them
Shel: With Well Suited comes an end of the Red Lipstick Coalition and what an end it is. We finally have Katherine (Kate) and …..drumroll (as if you’re even surprised)….Theo!! Surely you guys saw this coming, right? And surely you love it when friends fall in love with brothers which will make them connected forever, right? (Side note–my college bestie married my husband’s twin, making us sisters for liiiife and it’s the best!). So to recap for those who’ve forgotten–Theo is Tommy’s brother and Tommy married Amelia (from Work in Progress) and of course, Katherine is the fourth roommate and our final victim of Staci Hart’s romcom mind.
Court: Ohh, I am not going to lie, I was a bit nervous to find out what was going to happen in this one because Kate is so…Kate. well, Katherine. AND I will say that I wasn’t sure about her at first for reals. BUT…Since Staci Hart never fails us I held faith and dove in!
Shel: I’m gonna be real with you guys, Kate was not always easy. She’s so rigid and stubborn about her rules and her lists and her life but once you get to know her, you begin to understand why she functions the way she does and it all makes sense. It’s interesting because Staci Hart gives Kate a male suitor who is almost her mirror image in many many ways but he’s warmer, softer, more bendy in so many ways–and yet also rigid in ways too. I think it’s the first time in a while I’ve read two characters who are so alike and yet so not and work so well–even if one of them is a complete skeptic about anything that cannot be explained by facts and science. I really like the role reversal created with these two characters–he’s the big romantic softie and she’s the harder one to break (it’s actually, now that I’m thinking of it, very much like me and my husband…hmmm…excuse me as my brain processes all of this).
Court: HAHAHA! This one was speaking to you wasn’t it! Yes, you can tell that Theo is the one that is going to be thawing the ice, and it is a very nice role reversal. Their getting together was not something she wanted…at all…and she was so unwavering in that – that it was clearly going to be a hard won journey to see how things went between them. And it was delightful!
Shel: I really enjoyed how patient Theo was–he really knows how to play the long game and he was so attuned and attentive to Kate that I had high hopes that he’d break through all of her rules and perceptions. And I really liked Kate’s honesty and her self-awareness and her willingness to listen and open up to things that were really hard for her; I admired her confidence and her awareness about what she wanted and needed. These two worked well–from their first night together to the countdown of the end of the 40 weeks–I enjoyed their story…their entire concept and how their feelings were conceived (so punny, aren’t I), grew, stumbled, and grew bigger and stronger.
Court: LOL. Yes, but it’s cute. As is this book. And we really are drawn to these covers for reals. We’ve loved these friendships all along, but we really love these girls and how much they support each other!
Shel: And of course I loved seeing all of the members of the Red Lipstick Coalition together again. They were all as funny and sweet as always and seeing what they were up to and their lives were going was the perfect ending to this series. Court: Legit. We highly recommend this series so get it as soon as you can.
A standing ovation for Theo Bane because I will move heavens for this man.
One night was all it took for Theo and Kate’s life to change irrevocably. Now they have to deal with the aftermath and try to navigate life. Theo is sure they are suited for each other. Kate believes the exact opposite. With a new life depending on them, can they make a life together or are they just not suited for each other>
I cannot even begin to explain how much and how fiercely I love Theo Bane. He is just the kind of man you’d want to raise a family with. I was out of mind just reading how sweet and caring and hot and perfect Theo could be. I thought no one could be better than Tommy but damn Theo gave some serious competition. I adore this lovesick fool too much for this world.
Kate, my sweet cynical child. I am so happy she was proven utterly wrong. I LOVE LOVE the way she realized that love comes in various shapes and forms and it’s not something that could be put in a box. I love her realizations and her journey so much.
I will always with all my heart adore Staci and her stories. I am always in awe that I get to read the beauty that she creates. I will miss all these girls something fierce. They have been a huge part and such an inspiration this past year, I never want to say goodbye. I’ll love them forever and then some.
5 So Much More than a Surprise Pregnancy Story Stars!!
Needless to say I’m super sad to see this be the last of the RLC books, but what a way to go out… by far this book is my favorite of the series. I feel HARD for Katherine and Theo as a couple. While we’ve gotten to know Katherine in the previous three books, with this book we really get to know what truly makes her tick and above all that’s a self-imposed set of rules. And I get it based on her growing up years there wasn’t a lot of structure so now that she’s an adult she thrives on rules and structure. Well Theo is NOT in her plans, but one night of really letting go and indulging in a wild night of passion has absolutely changed how their future will play out.
Theo for his part is a man that’s kind of be one to stay back and let his twin brother Tommy be the daredevil, but after his night with Katherine he’s ready to take on the world which includes a surprise pregnancy that he’s just fine with because that means Katherine will be in his life forever…now if he could convince her they could have that forever filled with love he’d be ecstatic.
And so begins nine months of sassy, rule bending, heat filled days and nights. I loved how Katherine grew throughout this book. Realizing that she can have her rules but find love too. Oh and Theo is a man that is perfect in every way possible. He’s almost a Grecian God with his looks and how he loves this woman!! Along the way we get Tommy and Amelia, Rin and Court and Val and Sam and the friendship between them as couples and of course the girls as the RLC.
This book has heart, charm, fiery chemistry and is a perfect example of how if you can give up on some preconceived notions a Happily Ever After is absolutely possible even if you thought it wasn’t for you. Cheers to Katherine and Theo and all the love they have!!!
The second he meets her, Theo Bane just knows that Kate is the woman for him. From their simmering attraction to the way they seamlessly understand each other, falling into bed together is a given… but when she ghosts him afterward he is left with only the memories of their one perfect night together.
Katherine Lawson doesn’t do love and relationships, and Theodore is no exception, no matter how much she likes him. But their one night stand produced a big surprise that neither of them had planned for…
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well Suited was a story that I just couldn’t get enough of. While this book was fabulously well written and heart meltingly sweet, it was the characters who stole the show with their unconventional relationship that filled their souls with everything they never knew they needed in life.
Kate is a bit neurotic in her need for an orderly and well planned life, and she definitely doesn’t believe in things like love or the need for a long term relationship. But when she finds herself pregnant, she immediately knows that changing her comfortable life for a baby is something that is worth every sacrifice that she will have to make.
Theo is a man who wants nothing more than a wife and family of his own. Taking care of people is his greatest privilege, and he is absolutely ecstatic to have a baby on the way. But, with Kate insisting that she and the baby aren’t a package deal, Theo knows he has to be patient and play the long game for Kate to see just what he could offer a strong and independent woman like her.
I loved everything about this book. Kate’s personality is all about being pragmatic and self-sufficient, but the more time she spends with Theo, the more open she finds herself about letting someone new into her closely guarded circle. Theo is the most selfless and nurturing man in the universe. He was absolutely swoon-worthy, from the way he dressed to the way he takes care of everyone he loves. And the way that Kate and Theo fit so well together was such an easy and delightful segue into a relationship that they both deserve more than anything.
Well Suited might have been the absolutely best way to end the unforgettable Red Lipstick Coalition series. Kate and Theo’s story was the culmination of everything I loved from this series, and their one of a kind connection made for a narrative that was completely their own. With all of the previous RLC characters making their appearances in this final book, the heartwarming epilogue was the perfect way to end our time with this vastly different group of amazing women who each found their HEA their own way.
I received a complimentary copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.
