Chemistry is my love language.I’ve always been able to separate feelings from chemosignals. A shot of dopamine, a dash of serotonin, and a sprinkle of oxytocin—and bam. You’re in love. And when egg meets sperm, you’re pregnant.I couldn’t even be surprised as I stared down at the little blue plus sign, because I knew exactly when and how, and with whom it happened. When: approximately five weeks ago. happened.
When: approximately five weeks ago.
Who: one night stand.
How: prophylactic malfunction.
The upside? I don’t have to go looking for a suitable mate.
Genetically, he’s the cream of the crop. His musculature is a study in symmetry and strength, his height imposing and impressive. He is a man who thrives on control and command, a man who survives on intelligence and resourcefulness. A perfect male specimen.
And the whole package is wrapped up in a flawlessly tailored suit.
I’m having this baby, and he insists we’re well-suited to have it together. And what’s worse? He wants more, in the way of love and marriage.
But love isn’t real. It’s just a product of chemistry.
And if he changes my mind about that, we’re both in trouble.

I fell in love with the Red Lipstick Coalition series with the first book. Piece of Work by Staci Hart was the first book I read of hers, but it wasn’t the last. I loved this little group of misfit girls, each hugely beautiful in their own way. The four friends all had their own strengths, their own quirks, and I loved how real Staci made them. Caricature characters they were not.
Well Suited brings us the story of Katherine, who is the most logical out of all of the girls. She’s a girl who thinks with her brain, not with her heart. But even the most logical of us all want to sometimes have fun, right?
One night of letting off a little steam causes her life to change. As Katherine says “When egg meets sperm, you’re pregnant”. In this case her egg is met with Theodore Bane’s sperm. Theodore is in all sense a “perfect male specimen”. He’s attractive, successful, and attentive. He also likes Katherine. It should be a perfect match right?
Not really.
For Katherine it never really occurs to her that Theo and she could ever be a thing. She’s more than aware of her flaws, and doesn’t want to be a burden on anyone. She’s more than capable than taking care of herself, and this was one of those things I loved about her- her indomitable spirit. I totally understood why she doesn’t see herself as a good partner, and I felt for her. I didn’t expect to love Katherine as much as I did, but she was amazing. Theo was perfect. He’s just a nice guy, who wants to do right by her. He doesn’t have any agenda, except for just being there for her and their baby. The characters were transparent with each other.
I’m really loving these -what I like to call them- “smart romance novels”. I’m a great fan of Penny Reid and these books reminded me of her style of writing.
I loved this series. We get to see the girls grow, and help each other grow and come full circle in his book. I loved how their friendship persevered, and how the author didn’t make their friendship take the back seat. We get to see these girls become confident successful women in their journey, with the added bonus of hot guys, and it made my heart so happy!
This the last book in this brilliant series and in my opinion the best one. Staci has knocked it out the park with this one.
I have loved all 4 of this sassy Red Lipstick Coalition women but Katherine was the one that always intrigued me. She was such a unique girl, she loved fiercely even if she didn’t want to admit its love. She needs a strong man that will not try to change her, who accepts her for who she is and she finds that in Theo.
I loved Theo, we meet in the previous book Work In Progress as he’s Tommy’s twin brother. The minute he meets Katherine he knows shes the one for him. They are so perfect for each other. The connection is instant and the chemistry is off the charts.
It was lovely catching up with the other girls and their guys, seeing how their relationships are going. Its like a family reunion.
I’m Sad to say goodbye to these girls but I am looking forward to seeing what Staci brings us next,
5 Well Suited Stars!!
Staci Hart did it again!! I’ve been hooked with this group of girlfriends since I started reading Piece of Work and I been hooked since. After I finished reading Work In Process I’d been dying for Katherine and Theo’s story.
Outta the four friends Katherine was the one who I wasn’t so sure about. She seemed really uptight. We start the story with how Katherine and Theo met. When her and her girls, their guys and Theo go out dancing at the swing club. Katherine and Theo dance and she loves the way her pheromones smell and Theo was hooked. They leave and Theo is told it’s a one time deal and that’s it.
Katherine had been avoiding Theodore’s calls and texts. No matter how hard it was. She doesn’t do relationships. If she did it would be with Theodore. Few weeks after their night she finds out she’s pregnant and knows what she has to do.
For weeks Theo’s tried everything to talk to Kate. His calls and texts have gone unanswered and he’s even tried hanging with his twin brother Tommy and wife Amelia hopes of bumping into her.
When Theo opens his door and sees Kate he’s shocked and happy she’s there. Kate being Kate she gets right to the point and Theo’s blindsided by what she tells him. He’s gunna be a dad!!
Katherine feels she’s doing what’s right by letting Theodore she’s pregnant. She’s not expecting anything from him. When he insists on being there for everything she’s shocked. He insists his child won’t grow up without a dad like him and Tommy did.
Katherine agrees to coparent their child. Theodore wants more than that. But, she’s already freaking out with the changes of being pregnant are bringing. He suggests they cohabited and she agrees. But of course she brings along her list of rules and of course he agrees. For now!! But, Theo has plans of getting her to bend to her own rules and really give them a real shot at being more than just coparents.
I legit couldn’t put this down!! Katherine AKA Kate to Theo and Theo AKA Theodore to Kate are everything!!! Theo brought out the best parts of Kate. She only went by Katherine but he saw her as Kate and man she was so much more relatable the more time she spent with Theo.
They had their issues but they were just so perfectly matched that they found ways to figure it out and problem solve it. Talk about hot!! Man they were hot, sweet and all around perfect.
I’m really sad that this series is over. Staci Hart has given me so many series’s and characters to fall in love with and the ladies and their guys from this series is no different. I’m looking forward to her next world.
Unlike any other character that I had met in a book before, Katherine had many quirks and, while at the beginning of the book, I found her to be a bit obnoxious, I soon found her character more and more endearing.
Theo Bane was “Well Suited” indeed for the very peculiar and orderly character we meet in Katherine. Theo complimented her to a tee and the two were just made for one another.
It is sad to see the Red Lipstick Coalition come to an end with this fourth and final book from Hart, but it was an enjoyable and fitting way to end this fun series.
As Always, Happy Reading!
“4/5 Beaming Brains!”
Somehow (well, she knows HOW) Katherine’s one night has ended up with a positive pregnancy test. What’s a straight-laced woman to do? Well, the logical thing is to get to know the father of her soon to come baby, and co-parent with him. Sounds all fine and dandy to her logical, analytical brain. But what she didn’t count on were the FEELINGS that developed. Feelings she doesn’t want, doesn’t understand, and tries her best to deny, causing endless pain to Theo, the sweetest, most patient, swooniest man ever.
I LOVED Well Suited!! Why? Well one word mainly – Theo. He is absolutely the sweetest, most perfect man to grace my Kindle in a long, long time. How he put up with Katherine’s overly analytical, stubborn brain I will never know. But he did, and he deserved a medal for it because I would have left her stubborn ass in the dust after the first time she ripped his poor heart out. Luckily for her, he was in love with her, though, so for that reason I gave her a very big pass and enjoyed the heck out of the rest of this fun, witty, sexy story. I’m going to miss The Red Lipstick Coalition – the men and women of this series are fabulous fun!
As sad as I am to say goodbye to this amazing group of characters and their addictive story lines, I’ve been anxious to get my hands on Well Suited and read what Staci Hart had in store for her final couple – Katherine Lawson and Theo Bane. And Hart definitely delivers an entertaining and endearing story to bring her Red Lipstick Coalition series to its resolution.
Like all of Hart’s other RLC heroines, Katherine Lawson has quite the quirky personality, and while her need to remain logical and somewhat emotionless may frustrate some readers, I found myself relating to her philosophy and the need to be pragmatic and rational when making decisions, even when it came to how she processed her new normal with Theo and their child. And Katherine’s maturation proves that she’s worth attempting to truly understand who she is and how she feels in order to get to the core of her character.
Theo, like all of the heroes who Hart matches her heroines with, is a swoon worthy alpha male who accepts Katherine for all that she is and will be, which is exactly what she deserves, and the fact that he understands just how special she is proves the kind of man he is and how lucky Katherine is to call him hers.
Katherine and Theo may have done things a bit backwards with the out of order steps they take when it comes to the progression of their relationship, but that doesn’t mean it’s any less right, especially because their connection…their chemistry…their personalities work well together, making them a unique couple and proving that love doesn’t have to follow a specific pattern or protocol; it just has to come from the heart and be worth the challenges that will undoubtedly need to be endured.
I absolutely adore Staci Hart’s writing and storytelling; she’s created some of my favorite characters – heroes and heroines who forge their own paths in life and aren’t afraid to be exactly who they are regardless of other people’s judgmental perceptions. I’ll never forget these genuine and multifaceted characters but I can’t wait to see who Hart introduces her readers to next; I, for one, will be waiting impatiently for more of her words and her authentic voice that resonates off of every page that I read of her books.

**ARC REVIEW**
3.5 Stars
This is my 1st book by Staci Hart.
I have to begin by saying, I was expecting a totally different type of book because of its cover. It took me some time to get use to the female character Katherine. Her character felt too force upon me… I actually felt bad for Theo the whole time. To me they just didn’t click.
Katherine has found herself in a odd situation when she finds herself pregnant from a one night stand. She approaches Theo with the news and from there, their odd relationship begins.
Theo has been trying to locate Katherine since the last fiery night but she has been hiding. He finally gets his chance and with a full package. He has made it his goal to convince Katherine they are good together and she will hopefully fall for him as much as he has fallen for her.
I personally think it’s just me.. I couldn’t relate with the characters personality. It’s still a great story and worth a read for sure.
I mean let be honest the only thing I didn’t like about this book was that it ended and rounded out the RLC series.
I fell hard for the chemistry between Kathrine and Theo from the start. Their similarities were glaring but it was the way they pushed at each other naturally that proved their true compatibility for the long haul. Staci Hart knows how to write a love story that feels real and relatable, mainly because her characters are real. I can find myself in any of them or relate them to someone I know every time.
If you haven’t read anything from this series stop now and go start with Piece of Work, trust me you’ll have them all downloaded quick cause you won’t be able to wait for the next! Theo and Kathrine ended this series with a real bang!

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.
This is the fourth book in the red Lipstick Coalition Series. Each of these books can be read as a standalone.
Chemistry is my love language. I’ve always bee able to separate feeling for chemosignals. A shot of dopamine, a dash of serotonin, and a sprinkle of oxytocin-and bam your in love. And when egg meets sperm, your pregnant. I couldn’t even be surprised as I stared down at the little blue plsu sing because I knew exactly when and how, and with whom it happened. When was five weeks ago. Who was a one night stand. How was prophylactic malfunction. The upside? I don’t have to go looking for a suitable mate. Genetically, he’s the cream of the crop. His musculature is a study in symmetry and strength, his height imposing and dominant. He is a man who thrives on control and command, a man who survives on intelligence and resourcefulness. A perfect male specimen. And the whole package is wrapped in a flawlessly tailored suit. I’m having his baby and he insist we’re well suited to have it together. And what’s worse? He wants more, in the way of love and marriage. But love isn’t real. It’s just a product of chemistry. And if he changes my mind about that, we’re both in trouble.
To say that Katherine was no prepared for Theo is a understatement. He knew she was the one from the moment that he first laid his eyes on Katherine. He totally got how she functioned and had a plan already laid to break her down and put himself just where he wanted to be in her life. I loved that he never tried to change her he just wanted her exactly the way she was. Quirks and all. These to are no doubt well-suited and have quiet the story to tell. I loved it!!
“I need a steady hand, and Theodore always has his extended, just waiting for me to need it”
The final installment of the RLC and I’m going to be so sad to see these gals go. We finally get to see the cryptic Katherine. Think Sheldon of Big Bang Theory in female form. Every move is calculated and Theodore compliments her quirkiness perfectly.
I have to agree with Staci, there is nothing a good shade of lipstick can’t fix. All four of the books in this series showcases strong females with unusual careers (Katherine is a librarian with the New York library) and I loved that.

Katherine is practical. She loves rules, order and routine. Theo learned from a very young age that to achieve something in life, sacrifices, efforts and hard work are the way. A night out, dancing and a group of friends in common will bring them closer. With high pheromones, this couple will end up spending the night together. And a while later, the adrenaline, oxytocin and dopamine will be responsible for unexpected news.
Theo tried in vain to keep in touch with Katherine, but she rejected any attempt. Katherine does not want a relationship. She does not believe in love, marriage, and soul mates. When faced with pregnancy, her rational brain will anticipate all the steps to be taken and communicate the father of the child is the first task. To say Theo will be shocked is euphemism, but maybe that’s the chance he’s been waiting to get closer to Katherine. And with two such different people having to learn to live together, the journey will not always be easy.
The book has no big twists, big surprises. Last book in the Red Lipstick Coalition series, this volume addresses a couple dealing with a pregnancy, in how the arrival of a baby affects each individual. Maybe this was the most humane book in the series.
Theo was the perfect knight in shining armor. His devotion to others, his desire to form a family, and his love for Katherine and his daughter made him an unforgettable character.
However, I could not connect with Katherine. Her analytical, austere, almost robotic personality created situations in which I wanted to shake the character to see if she would have any reaction, to demonstrate some emotion.
The other characters in the series appear in the story, we can follow a little of their lives. The new characters were relevant to the narrative, creating a bit of tension at times.
Well suited is a good ending to the series. Theo had already aroused interest in the previous book and it was a pleasure to follow his journey. Katherine has always been the most mysterious of the girls, the character though appeared in the other books has never had much focus, never stood out. Perhaps for this reason it has been difficult to understand and even accept her. It was even harder to forgive her for breaking Theo’s heart.
Theo’s immense love saved the book. And worth every minute.

Finally we get Katherine’s story! I admit she has intrigued me from book one. Her dry wit and quirkiness, she needed a man exactly like Theo to swoop in and steal her heart. And Theo…the man had to the patience of a god to not only deal with Katherine’s crazy quirks, but to love her because of them. I loved that he didn’t want to change her, he just wanted to love all of her. I admit I did want to punch Katherine a few times for not opening her eyes sooner and seeing what’s in front of her. But once she does, she is all in and it made my heart so happy. These two are magnetic together and their chemistry is almost combustible. I hate to see this series end, but I loved this book and it is the perfect way to say goodbye. Another great read from Staci Hart.
Angela – Alphas Do It Better Book
Well Suited is a feel good story that left me smiling when I read the last page. This is the fourth and final book in the Red Lipstick Coalition, but is a standalone. There are definitely minor spoilers if you haven’t read the first three, but they aren’t something that won’t make you want to pick up the first three books after reading this.
This was my first Staci Hart book and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Well Suited sucked me in from the start and the way it was written kept me hooked. In this story we follow Katherine, a librarian, who is very organized and follows quite a big set of rules. When she ends up pregnant after a one night stand, her rules go out of the window and she has to start dealing with the pregnancy and relationship with the father of her child.
I loved how much humor was in this book. Some situations could be seen as very relatable (meeting the boyfriend’s family for the first time) and made me laugh. Even if I couldn’t relate, the way it was written had me smiling anyway. Even though Well Suited isn’t a story we haven’t seen before, the characters and events leading up to everything felt original to me.
Katherine had a very free childhood and that isn’t something she handled well. That is a big part of why she follows a strict set of rules and doesn’t feel right if they aren’t followed. I think her emotional journey was my favorite part of Well Suited. A woman who is stuck in a certain routine had her world turned upside down after a one night stand. I loved reading about her quirks and how she really starts thinking about them as the story and her pregnancy develops. For me she was a very heartwarming character and it won’t be one I will forget very fast.
Theo is a family man. He takes care of his mother who has Parkinson’s disease, works for his brother (who is an author) and really just eventually wants to settle down. Meeting Katherine was like a whole world opened up for him. He knew it was her and that was that. Theo is definitely on my list of book boyfriends now. I loved how understanding he was when it came to Katherine’s rules. He was really patient with her and took everything one step at a time. Theo was her rock and that’s something she really needed!
On top of these amazing characters, Theo’s family and Katherine’s friends are so much fun. Definitely a group of people that just belongs together. I loved their appearances in this story. I have to say the family secret Theo has was a bit out of place for me. I understand what the author was doing, but for me it came and went a bit too easily for the attention it received. Not that I need more drama, but it didn’t completely feel like it fit this story.
I can’t forget to mention the romance in this story either. We get some steamy scenes, but also some really sweet ones. Them starting off with rules was really cute and seeing how they started feeling more for each other was very touching. Theo and Katherine are opposites in many ways, but work perfectly together! Well Suited showed us that love comes in many shapes and sizes, but it’s what you think and feel that make it love!
I absolutely love Staci Hart! This series was fantastic. And this novel was the perfect topping to a wonderful cake that was fully devoured. I loved and swooned over Theo. He was the quintessential lover and man we all strive to find. Katherine had her quirks but she was finally able to open up and be able to actually live life with Theo rather than just exist. A little robotic but she was thinking logically and not with her heart. Pregnancy did wonders for this gal!!!!

I refuse to accept that this series is over. I don’t want to talk about it. I’M NOT READY TO TALK ABOUT THIS.u2063
But it was amazing,u2063
and I miss my girls already.u2063
I loved how much Staci tackled in there was so much going on with out girls and them we got to this final book and it was all so beautiful. I loved the premise and the emotions and Ir elated to the main characters SO much. Both of them elicited emotion in me over and over again and I yelled out loud at this book far more than once.
Beautiful and heart hurting and just wonderful.
The Red Lipstick Coalition series has been my absolute favorite by far!! I loved getting to know each one of the ladies with each book and I have been anticipating getting to know Katherine.
Katherine is her own person who lives by rules, structure and everything organization. Growing up Katherine was raised by her Hippie parents and she made sure that they were on time and had a chore chart.
Theo is a super sweet man who takes care of his mother at every turn and has a famous writer twin brother.
One night out with Katherine and Theo with the rest of the gang and that is all she wrote. One night that changes everything. LITERALLY. No one knew that one night would be such a happy accident that would only make everyone closer and better for it.
Katherine and Theo are two of my absolute favorite characters! I loved how well they were written for each other. Theo was the perfect match for Katherine and how she handled everything. He knew what she needed before she knew she needed. He was unapologetically in love and showed that at every turn!
Katherine was definitely the most different heroine I have ever come across. At first I was a little iffy if I could fall in love with her character as much as I had the other girls. But the more her and Theo were together the more she really started to shine as a person! She showed how so many people deal with circumstances even if they aren’t the same kind of special as Katherine.
Even with Theo having the familial issues he has he is the most loving, strongest, sexiest character that could have been written for Katherine.
I am so beyond sad that this series is over but I absolutely cannot wait to see what else Staci has in store!!
Thank you so much to Staci for the free review copy in exchange for my honest opinion!!
Wow…just wow! I knew this book would be brilliant, because let’s face it, every one of Staci Hart’s books captivates in a way that just leaves you wanting more, and this book was no exception.
As always, you can read each book as a stand-alone, but as the final book in an already powerful series (The Red Lipstick Coalition series), this book was the cherry on top and the perfect ending for Katherine.
Katherine has always been one of the Red Lipstick girls I could relate to, she hates lack of control, and needs rules and reasoning in place to help make her feel safe and stable. She is often the voice of reason, so when she has a ‘malfunction’ that lands her pregnant, she instantly tries to plan for the unplanned.
Theo is a thinker, he knows what he wants but is willing to put in all the work to get it. He has a big heart which is shown through how well he protects and cares for his mother, and how much he looks out for his brother Tommy. He likes to have a plan for any scenario, so when Katherine shows up at his door and tells him he’s soon to be a father, he knows right away he wants to be involved, but doesn’t want to scare Katherine away. He knows he has to be patient, refrain from what others would instinctively do, and hope that in the end he obtains his overall goal of them becoming a family.
I’m just in love with this series and this book. Katherine is so on my level with how much she needs to know and delve into subjects in order to make her feel like she is comfortable and aware. She doesn’t like giving up control, but something about Theo makes her feel more at ease than ever before, he takes the weight of her shoulders and is the rock that she needs to stop her from freaking out.
Their attraction is beyond chemistry and their dynamic is adorable. Theo is by far my fave of the RLC boyfriends and he really pulls out all the stops for Katherine. Its like he sees a version of who she really is and wants to always help her shine and thrive. He is incredibly supportive and had me swooning left right and centre.
The book was just amazing, and I feel sad to see this series come to an end. It’s been an emotional rollercoaster that has had me completely and utterly immersed. Like all of Hart’s books, this book was very empowering and relatable, I love her down to earth writing style that instinctively makes me able to relate to her characters and their quirks. I love how she always enables you to see not just female insecurities but those of her male heroes.
I loved the backstory for Katherine and the introduction of her mother Sparrow, and I just loved the girl code conversations that Katherine is forced to have with her friends. It was an epic read and I would recommend to all romance lovers. Just amazing.
When I say I loved it, I really mean that I DEVOURED this book – I seriously put off all my obligations to read it. EEEKK!
I wasn’t sure how I felt about Katherine’s theories, facts and logic at first! I couldn’t understand it. But when she realised how she really felt for Theo, and everything just fell into the right pieces – it was so worth the wait!
Theo and Katherine are seriously made for each other, and it was SO freaking cute to read. They were perfectly matched – Theo understood Kate, Kate understood Theo instantly (even though I didn’t know how Theo understood her at first). I loved how Theo saw her for more than Katherine, how she was his Kate, how Katherine appreciated and complemented Theo’s orderliness, how she cared for him always.
The growth and progress wasn’t immediate and it took so long that you felt like banging your head against the wall at some points, but it was so worth it.
The women of the Red Lipstick Coalition are some of the best female characters I’ve ever read…they’re so relatable and likeable. I’ve become very attached to these characters, and while I was eager to see Katherine get her happy ending, I’m sad for this to be the final book in this amazing series.
Katherine is logical, blunt and factual…she’s definitely the quirkiest of the four friends. Theo sees a much softer and different side of her and knows immediately he wants her in his life.
After a one night stand and a condom malfunction, they end up spending a lot of time together because there’s now a baby on the way! Theo wanted more than one night from the start, but he agreed to Katherine’s rules and boundaries, even when she didn’t want him to anymore. Katherine doesn’t believe in love and Theo will do everything in his power to change her mind.
A great ending to a must read series!
4 1/2 stars!
At first glance, Katherine and Theo are an unconventional pair. She has such a clinical and scientific way of looking at the world, which can come off as her being cold and unfeeling and Theo is a caretaker who has no problem showing his feelings. But then again, they say opposites attract.
When their night together results in Katherine’s pregnancy, Theo is more than willing to step up and be a father. His father wasn’t around when he was growing up and Theo is determined to be there for Katherine. And because he is a great guy, that is exactly what happens.
While some people might find Katherine to be a bit strange, Theo is intrigued by her and wants to know her better. The two strike a deal so that they can get to know each other better. That deal results in them accomplishing that, but also for both of them to realize that they just might be perfect for each other.
I just loved Katherine and Theo. They had a great friendship that blossomed into so much more. There were plenty of funny moments, but also some very sweet and sexy ones. I loved the banter between them. Good banter = good foreplay. This book was the perfect way to wrap up the series. We get to see the whole gang and get caught up on how they were doing.
