“It’s never too late to begin again.”
We’ll Begin Again was the first Lauren Lee novel that I have read and, it was great! I can’t wait to go and read her other novels available. This is a military romance, and second chances novel. I usually enjoy the second chance novels so I picked it up and quickly became engrossed in the story of Amelia and William.
Recovering from a divorce and getting used to the idea of being a newly single mom, Amelia, wants to start over. She feels like the best way to do that is to move to a new city, and start over with a new job, new surroundings. Amelia soon discovers that it is not as easy as just moving. She struggles to balance the life she wants, and the life she lives. Will she be able to figure out how to find happiness and still be all that she wants to be as a mother?
William, a war vet and still grieving son, has been discharged from the one thing he felt he had in his life. It’s a very real possibility that he could end up homeless, with no one to come home to. It is just when he begins to wonder if his life is worth living, that fate swoops in and drops Amelia in his lap.
Is love all they need to fix themselves? Can they make the life-long commitment it takes to love someone and all their baggage? Will they be able to begin again?
This was a fast read, so maybe grab this one and squeeze in an extra one-click of her other work. I know I need to. I am a new fan!

We’ll Begin Again is a fantastic second chances/military veteran/single mother romance that is all about new beginnings, grief, heartache, torment, overcoming seemingly impossible odds and starting again. This story is beautifully written by Ms. Lee- whose work I hadn’t read before now, but after this great story I would definitely recommend this book and I look forward to reading more of her work.
Amelia Montgomery is a lawyer and single mother to her 9-year-old son, Charlie. They have recently moved to a new city, so Amelia can start a new job, and she is hoping that it will be the fresh start she needs to move on with her life after her failed marriage. On her first day at her new work she passes a bench where a homeless man sleeps in the cold and snow. She can’t help but feel compassion for his situation and wonders how he came to be in that situation. Little did she know at the time, but this man would soon become an important part of her life.
William Divola is an army veteran who has endured more heartache than any person should ever have to. his own his life had been shattered by several tragic events, leaving him broken, lonely, haunted and homeless. He had lost faith in himself, and humanity for that matter. His life was a constant struggle, until a ray of sunshine in the form of Amelia brought warmth and hope back into his life.
This is such a touching, romantic and emotional story. I really loved every minute of reading it. The characters are realistic and relatable- and their story is entirely believable. My heart ached for what William had endured. Ms. Lee really ‘shows’ what living on the streets is like, and it was confronting.
The story contains flashbacks which help to fill in some of the backstory and gave a deeper perspective to Williams situation, feelings etc. The story is told from a duel POV, has a great pace and a smooth flow.
Wonderful!
Thank you, Ms. Lee!

This was such a beautifully written and emotionally charged story – I absolutely loved reading it! This is the first book that I have read by this author and it definitely won’t be the last.
I love military romance stories so this one was always going to be a winner for me and it didn’t take me long to become captivated by Amelia and William’s story. I think that the author did a really good job with both of the characters; they were well thought out, likeable and relatable. I could really feel the emotion coming from both of them.
I liked Amelia; I thought she was a strong character and desperately trying to get her life back on track after her divorce. But I have to admit I think William was it for me in this book – I completely took him into my heart and wanted the best for him. Together, for me, these two were just perfect! I loved their chemistry but felt like that they could really help each other and find their happy ever after.
I think if you love military romance stories then We’ll Begin Again is definitely one to read – I highly recommend it!

Amelia and her son Charlie, move hours away for a new job offer at a law office and a fresh start away from her ex and his new family. She loves her son and her job and has a hard time balancing the two. When she meets William, who has had a rough few years living on the streets.
As Amelia pushes herself into his life, they end up helping each other move forward and get a second chance at life and maybe love?
I really really enjoyed this book. This was my first book by this author and I will be on the lookout for more!
We’ll Begin Again by Lauren Lee is a military romance about second chances. I was hooked from the first page and could not put it down. Amelia, is a single mother who moves to a new city due to starting a new job. She wants to move on and make a better life for herself and son. William is a veteran, who has had a rough life and feels like he has no options left but to live on the streets. What will happen with Amelia and William cross paths? Will they be able to get past their history and help each other out?

“It’s never too late to start over, and it’s never too early to begin again”
Sitting here with tears running down my face, this book completely shattered my heart in the very best way possible. I went into it completely blind except loving the cover, I wasn’t sure what I was going to be reading but I will say at 63% of the way in I panicked and wanted to slow down because I did not want this story to end.
This is my first read by this author and in the acknowledgements she states this is a new genre for her…I don’t know what genre her other books are, I can assure you I will find out but, she has this one aced…..I have a handful of books that I’ve read so far this year that I think I’ve stated might have been my favorite so far….Now I can say as of right now this one ranks right there with the other handful. If I had one complaint, again I didn’t want it to end…This could have been a much longer book and Id have been even happier. Her writing style, her characters, her perfect storyline, I loved everything about this book!!
I will be looking into all the rest of this authors books but I would say that this genre suits her just fine…I couldn’t have loved it anymore!! It is also already in my to be read again file.
Read it!! Trust Me!!!

Ummm… wow!! Such a heartfelt, yet complex story!! This is beautifully told , with a deeply heartbreaking subject matter. It’s a wonderful way to honor our vets!
This is my first time reading this author. But it’s such complex story! It had my emotions all over the darn place. I had to sit for a few minutes and absorb the story once I finished it.
You gotta read this book!! It will have you sitting on the edge of your seat, wanting more! Once you start reading, you’ll immediately get sucked into the story and characters!
I personally got invested in the characters. Rooting for them, praying they’ll tried their life around !! And it didn’t disappoint in the least!! I enjoyed it from beginning to end! Great job, Lauren ! I’m forever a new fan and looking forward to reading more from you in the future !!
We’ll Begin Again was a touching and emotional story. Amelia is a successful, single mom with a big heart, Even though she works a TON, it’s clear how much she loves her son. William has had a rough turn of events that led to where he is in the beginning of this book. I enjoyed watching him open up as we get further in. They both helped each other in different ways and I totally cried. It was told from 2 points of view with a happy ending. I read this in one sitting and would read more from this author in the future for sure.

This is a great book! At first I was thinking ooh war vet who is homeless. This is gonna be good. Then Amelia tried to get involved with him and it was nice to see he was so excited about it. Ha ha He rebuffed her many times before she finally wore him down just to buy him a hot meal. The more this book went on the better I liked it. I enjoyed being on William’s journey with him. He has such a transformation with the help of a good woman. As much as I love Amelia and Charlie..William is the star of the book in my eyes. I really felt his anguish, embarrassment, stress and happiness while reading this. The author did an amazing job of making me feel his plight.
Amelia (and Charlie-her son) has a good heart but she is a workaholic. With her new job offer and move she has many high points but she does hit some low points. She always seems so positive and happy and down to earth. I know one time William though she was going to be snooty and was surprised she wasn’t. Charlie was kinda of the humor of the story. He’s a kid and kids ask questions and have unbridled energy. I think adding a child added the perfect element to the story.
This is a first time author for me and she did an outstanding job. I was drawn in from the beginning and the story kept me interested. I read it quickly since I couldn’t put it down. I really really enjoyed read Williams story. Excellent job!

5-star review
We’ll Begin Again by Lauren Lee is a phenomenal story that I thoroughly enjoyed from the beginning until the end. It was nothing at all like I had expected, I’ve honestly never read a book like it. This was my first book by Lauren, but it certainly won’t be my last. William and Amelia’s story filled me with so much hope. Their story is touching, sweet, heart wrenching and so real, I was taken on an emotional roller coaster ride with this one.
All of the details from the characters emotions, their surroundings and their pasts made it so easy to picture everything playing out in my mind. This story had me laughing out loud and shedding many tears. It’s a story that I won’t soon forget. I can’t wait to read more of Lauren’s work in the future and I would absolutely recommend this book to others.
This is the first time I’ve read this author and I will read her books again.
WE’LL BEGIN AGAIN is a quick and easy story about second chances. While it might not be realistic in the timing, it wasn’t so fantastical that it took me out of the story.
The story flows well and the MCs are both easy to like. Secondary characters are limited so there wasn’t any confusion on who is who.
If you are looking for something light and easy with a bit of social conscience, this is the book for you.

This is a full length novel. The perfect example of not making judgment, finding the true soulmate and perfect romance.
Amelia Montgomery is a divorced young woman with one son. She has been offered a fantastic job at a powerful Law office. Being a hard working lawyer herself. This is a great opportunity for her and her son. Between work and her son, she has no time for herself, therefore no time to date or find a partner.
William Divola is a veteran, he has lost everyone. His father on 911, the day of his birthday, one of his two best friends, while serving his country, and then his mother. If that’s not enough. He is now homeless. Living on the streets, finding food in the dumpsters. With only his memories, his father’s advice and his grit. He must overcome this. But how?
This has to be the best example of, Judge not that you be judged. Lauren Lee did a great job of getting that point across. Her story is a page turner. All the emotions are tested in this story. Her characters are just beautiful. I love when our veterans become example of real people. Thank You Lauren Lee for this Story! I hope to read more from you!
We’ll Begin Again by Lauren Lee is a wonderfully told military romance. I enjoyed this book from beginning to end. The author did an amazing job making this story relatable and emotional. You can feel the emotions the characters are going through. Amelia who is a single mom and a workaholic, is trying to do right thing for everyone. William is an army vet who feels like he is stuck in a situation that he can’t find his way out of. When their paths cross, its a little rocky at first but they start to become friends slowly, because William has a lot of walls built up because of his past. They both have had to deal with heartache and some of those painful moments in their past is what brings them closer. This book was very emotional for me, I laughed, I cried, and I found myself hoping that these two find the love they deserve with each other. If you want to know how this story turns out you need to pick up this book and read it, you will not be disappointed. This is the first book I have read by this author and I am so glad I decided to read it, as it is an awesome read and very well written. I highly recommend this book. This is a five star read for sure!!

We’ll Begin Again is a second chance military romance by Lauren Lee. This is my first story by Ms. Lee, but definitely not last. I love the flow of the story and the detailed characters that are believable and true to life. This was an emotional roller coaster which left me with a book hangover for a couple days. Amelia was offered a new job and what a better way to start over with her son in a new city, leaving behind a nasty divorce. William is a veteran who after being discharged had nowhere to go. Both of them had a hard time acclementing to their new life. William end up living on the streets and Amelia struggles with her new job and dealing with things on her own. When their path cross what will happen? Can they learn to trust and communicate? You will need to get the book to find out what happens. You definitely won’t be disappointed.
We’ll Begin Again by Laurèn Lee is an amazing story about loss, love and second chances at life. William and Amelia are from two different worlds. He’s homeless and sleeping on a bench outside of a building, she’s very well off and just accepted a new position at a law firm, the building William is sleeping in front of. William is a great character and he has a lot of issues, some were out of his control others were just what he allowed to happen because he felt he didn’t deserve better. Amelia felt like she would never get a second chance at love, a divorced, single mother who works long hard hours at a law firm doesn’t exactly have time to go out and meet people. But she’s drawn to the sleeping bag the homeless person is sleeping in. That one feeling is all she needs to have something to focus on and she’s determined to help.
There’s a lot of PTSD talk and symptoms, along with ways to cope and signs. Overall I loved the story. It was well written it moves from scene to scene flawlessly and it keeps you pulled in the whole time.
We’ll Begin Again by Lauren Lee. This is a new author to me and I am so glad that I read this book!!! I absolutely fell in love with this story.
Amelia is trying to build a life for herself and her son, in a new city, after her divorce. She is excited to start a new job at a new law firm. She just has to figure out how to do it this time around as a single mom.
William came home from his tours in the Army, after joining at a low point in his life. When he returned home, he found himself in an impossible situation, he ended up on the streets. When Amelia sees him, she is instantly drawn to him. They form a bond even tho he fights it at every angle. Can they come together and be what each other needs to move past the hurt and move forward together?
This book had me drawn in from page one. I can not wait to read more by this author!!!

We’ll Begin Again by Lauren Lee was so easy to get caught up in. I felt like I had just started the book but then before I realized it we were coming up on the end. It was just so easy to get lost in both William and Amelia’s individual stories as well as in their story together.
Amelia has such a caring and strong heart. She see someone she knows nothing about, is drawn to him and decides she is going to help him out. It could have ended up so differently but she was able to help get someone a second chance.
William’s story is all too familiar. A Vet who has seen way more than the average person and has had so much person pain and loss. He was failed in so many ways, but thankfully that isn’t the end of his story.
I was not familiar with Lauren Lee before this book and haven’t had the chance to see what else she has, but I hope to come across more by her in the future.
This book made me laugh out loud with the references that sounded like my own son.
“Me? I just wanted to play video games and drink Monster until I crashed.”
Other times I thought this was my story.
“Some days, I’m Super Mom and the Queen of the World. Others? I’m a hot freakin’ mess.”
When I wasn’t laughing I was crying. Especially for William. This story hits right in the heart. William and Amelia are two people I would like to know, personally. Their stories are like may others. The past of each person, real or fictional, is something that can’t be changed. How we handle what happens to us is how our future will be. The same is so true for Amelia and William. Both think that their pasts are all they have. They may live in the present but they can not see a future. I liked how these characters were laid back but determined. I liked how they realized their own mistakes, owned up to them and fixed the problem.
This quote sums up the whole story, is my life motto and the reason to give this story a chance.
“It’s never too late to start over, and it’s never too early to begin again.”
We’ll Begin Again is a military romance of second chances by Lauren Lee that touches upon many important grim realities of our veterans. It is the first book I have read by this writer and I fell in love with her easy and relatable writing that did not allow me to put the book down.
We’ll Begin Again is the story of Amelia Montgomery and William Divola. It is the story of two broken people who are meant to meet and help each other heal. It is no easy reading, I cried a lot … it also gave me hope, hope that there people out there who do ‘see’ the ones who are down on their luck and feel that they do need to do something …AND act upon the feeling! This is the story of human friendship that touches your heart and you find thinking of them also after you are done with the book … you keep your fingers crossed and wish for the stars meaning you really hope that both of them dare to take the step beyond the friendship and explore the second chance they have both been given.
I loved Lauren’s writing and I will be checking out her other writings. I know now that she is someone I can always go back to when I feel for something simple and heart-warming and real!
We’ll Begin Again by Lauren Lee is a Military Romance that pulled me in from page one. Following the story of Amelia and William, showcasing their first young love and them coming together again in a true second chance love story. Amelia is a single mother, which she never planned to be, but is willing to put in the work for her child and do whatever it takes to give them the life that they deserve. Creating her new life after her divorce was not easy, but getting a new job in a new city was the first step. When life proves to be more challenging than she had anticipated, the challenge becomes how to give everything to everyone around her and still find a way to create her own happiness along the way. William is a war vet who feels like his life ended when he was discharged from service. Looking at living on the street and just struggling to survive, William isn’t sure that his life is worth living at that point. What happens when their lives cross paths? When fate decides to converge two paths it is always for a reason and these two are willing to take the chance at something better with each other. These two coming together was great to witness, showing how love can fix many wounds both physical and mental. But the path isn’t always easy for these two, and it will take both of them being committed to a life together to make things work. Lee is a new to me author, and I am so happy that I picked this book up. Her writing style was very unique, her characters were incredibly well written and the storyline kept me engaged from page one all the way until the end of the book. I can’t wait to see what else this author brings to her readers because I will definitely be looking to buy more of her work in the future.
