Ana Belle never wanted anything more than to hang up her apron, jump on her Vespa, and ride off into the sunset, leaving Sugartown in the dust.Elijah Cade never wanted anything more than a hot meal, a side of hot arse and a soft place to lay his head at night where he could forget about his past. But you know what they say about wanting: you always want what you can’t have. Ana is about to … have.
Ana is about to discover that’s not quite true because a six foot three, hotter than hell, tattooed, biker god just rode into town. He’s had a taste of her pie and he wants more–no really, Ana bakes pies for a living, get your mind out of the gutter.
She’d be willing to hand over everything tied up in a big red bow, there’s just one problem; Elijah has secrets dirtier than last week’s underwear. Secrets that won’t just break Ana’s heart, but put her life at risk, too. When those secrets come to light, their relationship is pushed to the breaking point.
Add to that a psychotic, nympho best friend, an overbearing father, a cuter than humanly possible kid brother, a wanton womanizing cousin, the ex from hell, and more pies than you could poke a … err … stick … at.
And you thought small towns were boring.
Welcome to Sugartown.

WOW this is not what I expected but so so much more I couldn’t put it down, Elijah and Anna just grab you and don’t let go with so many feelings I had no idea how it was going to play out with the danger and truth coming out and the sacrifices being made and paying for them it was a wild rollarcoaster ride and when you fall that deep into someone I found Elijah so patient and caring and I understand it all now and I have to say he is beautiful inside and out and with Ana she was a tough one but thank god for Holly I loved her what fun she was. These characters are so full of life and so beautiful in every way with the writing being so good how can you not love them.
This book was such a surprise, random read for me. I made one of those posts on facebook–you know the one where I ask for recommendations and tons of people respond–and the author happened to see my post. Of all the authors who commented with names of their books, this one jumped out at me. Maybe it’s the cover, maybe it was the great synopsis the author gave me on that little post, or maybe it’s the fact it’s in the romance package so I was able to try a new author AND new narrators relatively risk free.
It’s gotta be one of those things, right?
Anyway, on to this book. Elijah Cade comes strolling into town and catches the eye of our Ana Bell. Watching this romance grow and develop is not something I will be forgetting anytime soon. And the twists and turns and the SHOCKING MOMENTS that Jenner throws our way, aren’t easy to handle, they aren’t light, but they are so true and authentic within the story that I can’t think of a different path these two could have taken to find each other.
As far as narration, I’ll be honest, I’ve never heard either narrator before, but that didn’t deter me. In fact, I dove right in and LOVED the accents! Granted, these are probably two people who are actually Australian so they don’t believe they have an accent, but for me they do! And I loved feeling as if I was actually in Sugartown, in Australia, living life right along with Elijah, Ana, Holly, and Sam. It felt so real and I listened to this so frequently that the little voice in my head took on an Australian accent–which is only super weird if you think too much about it.
But really, Rupert and Jenny will have me as a fan for as long as they want to make audiobooks. I’m in.
I just loved this book, and what a better title than Welcome to Sugartown!!!! Sugartown is like most small towns in which many residents dream of big city life and Ana was no different, that is until she meets Elijah. Elijah has the weight of his past weighing on his shoulders and he’s hoping that being in Sugartown would help lessen that weight. The universe aligns for Ana and Elijah, when Elijah started working for Ana’s dad Bob. You as the reader can just feel the sparks flying between these two, but like all happily ever aftrers these two must go on a journey to find it. And what a beautiful emotional journey they embarked upon. Never would you meet two people that are just perfect for each other than Ana and Elijah. I would be amissed if I didn’t mention all the other characters in this story that brings about so many moments of hilarity that just balances out the high emotions that you may encounter while reading this book. From Ana’s dad Bob, to her bestt friend Holly to Sammy and then Cade. In a sense this story needs all these characters to make as awesome as it is.
Side note this book include topics such as murder and rape, but I definitely woud not let that deter you from reading it.
Carmen Jenner, awesoem job with this book and can’t wait to read the other books.
Finally got to read one of my favourite authors earlier books, it has taken me a long time but i finally made it to Sugartown and I’m so glad i finally arrived.
I wasn’t sure what to expect when i started reading this book i just wasn’t sure what path it was going to take but i wasn’t expecting this story. What an amazing story it was. It shocked me, wowed me, i was emotional and just heartbroken for both of these characters in such different ways i just didn’t know what i was feeling half the time.
I must admit i was not expecting for what happened to Ana and i was just so saddened and the way the author wrote these darker scenes in this book i just felt like i was in the moment with them and i could feel the hurt for these characters. Elijah was such the alpha dirty talking hot guy but underneath it all you could tell he was a guy that would lay his life down for you. He made some mistakes but god when he loved something he was passionate.
This was such a back and forth story for these characters and the push and pulling and hurt these characters created themselves was so enticing and i just didn’t want to put it down.
Absolutely loved this book and i can’t wait to get more into this series. I bought the box set and can’t wait to read the rest.
A massive 5 sugartown stars for this baby
Wow. This book started one way and well it continued a totally different path. A great story and a great book. I definitely recommend it.
