When Jeanette Brioche helped launch The Corner Spa in Serenity, South Carolina, she found a whole lot more than professional satisfaction. She discovered the deep and loyal friendships that had been missing from her life. But even the Sweet Magnolias can’t mend the terrible rift between Jeanette and her family or persuade her that the holidays are anything more than a season of misery. Pushed …
Pushed into working on the town’s much-loved annual Christmas festival, Jeanette teams up with the sexy new town manager. Tom McDonald may be the only person in Serenity who’s less enthused about family and the holidays than she is.
But with tree decorations going up on the town square and a bit of romance in the air, Jeanette and Tom take a fresh look at the past and a hopeful look into the future. Together they discover that this just may be a season of miracles after all.

I love all her book I just can’t afford to pay high prices for them that’s why i also love you BookBud
This is part of a series — Sweet Magnolias. It’s not the first book, but I happened to read it first and really enjoyed it. It’s a light read, probably could be called a beach read. Jeanette works in a ladies-only spa in Serenity, SC. Tom becomes Serenity’s Town Manager and falls for her right away. Jeanette has been hurt in the past so is very protective of her feelings. Along with problems with both sets of parents — she is almost estranged from hers and Tom’s parents want him to move back to Charleston and take his place in society and practice law — well, there’s a lot going on. But a group of women, called the Sweet Magnolias, are there to help and advise. Great light reading!
I highly recommend you picking up this beautiful yet poignant story about love, life, regrets and the importance of finding the people you call home.
I truly did enjoy this book. I was disappointed the way it ended, even though I knew how it would end, I wanted more details, like how everyone reacted to Tom’s parents, how Jeannette’s father got over the misunderstanding and gave his blessing, and I also thought Tom would have proposed with a more romantic display, like he said he would do at his parents home. But don’t get me wrong, I did enjoy the book spent most of my day reading it to the end.
Great book
Love that she writes about ladies over 50 and 60!

I’m always excited to read anything in this series. Love her characters and the worlds she creates. I also love that her characters move in and out of subsequent books, like old friends you love to see again.
Well developed characters that you can visualize . I like that she has two romances going at the same time. It keeps the book interesting. I am looking to reading more from this author.
