Nightmares. Bad dreams are all they are, right? That’s what I thought too, until recently that is. Turns out there’s so much more out there that we can’t see. Maybe the monster under the bed isn’t just a myth. I never really fit in anywhere, not in my family, not in school but something happened on my seventeenth birthday that changed everything. Now I’m scrambling to learn what I am, and how I … am, and how I fit into this new life.
Will this be a fresh start where people understand me? Or will I always be an outcast?

This duo has introduced a new concept for me in the supernatural world — I always love little twists, turns, and spins with supernaturals and their worlds. It is SO much fun to read something so different. Whisper is a great character and I can’t wait to see where these two lovely ladies take these characters and their world.
The story draws you in from the very beginning and shocks you when it ends. I really enjoyed the characters and plot of the book. The world the authors’ created feels fresh and new. I look forward to the next book in the series.
I loved this book it’s fresh , exciting, different, and has fantastic characters Whisper is a great strong girl who although a little shy sticks to herslef apart from her one best friend Sam ……everyone else treats her so badly that she stays away …..it’s a great book with great storyline , I couldn’t put it down and was hooked from beginning to end that cliff hanger got me bad and I can not wait for the next book love it
This book follows Whisper in her discovery of being a nightmare. She is a unique MC in that she is young, but doesnt carry a lot of the frustrating qualities that you normally read in YA books. The intro to the guys in her life feels natural and I love Aunt Nellie. I am interested in what happens next!
No spoilers of any kind included because I absolutely dislike giving away all the surprises that’s hidden within a story!
I thought Welcome To My Nightmare was pure awesomeness!
Rose Alexander and K. N. Thompson make an amazing story weaving team!
Both women know how to completely hook their readers and take them on a wild ride and then leave them wanting and needing more at the end of that ride!
I so look forward to the next book in this series because I know it’s going to be as awesome as this one is!
So I most definitely do recommend this book because I absolutely loved and I think you will too!
Wow what a start to a new series! Whisper is absolutely awesome character with a fire deep within her, this is a fabulous fresh storyline with great characters and world building. It kept me hooked from beginning to end, a refreshing and fabulous read and I am now hanging for book two! I highly recommend this read, superb!
Nobody like nightmares, right? These nightmares look just like humans, they have friends, they even have their own school. Oh, did I forget to mention that they breed humans to feed themselves?
This story is very original in my opinion. The characters are different, but likeable. Whisper is the main character and she is very relatable with always feeling like the weird book nerd. Welcome To My Nightmare Book 1 is fine for ages 12+, but this story has the potential to become a reverse harem. I’m super excited to learn more about Whisper and Sam. To see if the Baku find a way in. I’m going to find book 2!
