Joining a gym is Chloe’s idea of hell. But when she catches her boyfriend cheating on her, blaming her for ‘letting herself go,’ that’s exactly where she ends up. Before she has a chance to bolt, she runs into Liam, a personal trainer and should-be cover model, who puts her at ease and offers to train her. All seems to be going well until Chloe realises she has to face her ex and his new … and his new girlfriend at an upcoming family wedding. Cue meltdown.
Can she overcome her self-esteem issues and reinvent herself? Can Liam prove to her that she is perfect just as she is?
Weighting On Love is an instalove novella about finding the perfection in our imperfections. HEA guaranteed.

I was extremely lucky to be able to read Sophie Blue’s debut book, Weighting On Love, early! This instalove romance had me hooked from the first page, and being a novella I devoured the words so quickly! This story is had be giggling through out, (yes, I giggle haha), and I connected to it on a personal level.
I felt really connected to our main girl, Chloe. It was as if she was in my head speaking the words I have heard myself say so many times before! I am that low confidence person who needs a boost! Liam is just a hottie, and not only that he is so incredibly sweet! Swoon alert! It’s hard not to fall right at Liam’s feet! He is everything.
This novella was equal parts funny, sweet and steamy. I really enjoyed reading this and I seriously can not wait for more from this author.
I enjoyed this book. It’s a sweet short romance with HEA.
Chloe joins Liam’s gym, but is reluctant to stay due to her current weight. Liam encourages her to stay, he says it’s because he wants to help everyone stay fit, but he had ulterior motives as he’s attracted to Chloe.
Short read but you do get to know about Chloe and Liam and can see the attraction building.
This was a quick hot read! I enjoyed reading this book. Was glad Chloe got her man. I thought this book was entertaining, well written and a page turner. Sophie Blue is a new author to me.
I loved everything about Liam and Chloe! I felt this connection to Chloe as a girl who has also struggled with weight. She enters Liam’s gym after a bad break up that has left her feeling vulnerable and lacking confidence. What she isn’t expecting is Liam. The way Liam helps Chloe learn to love herself and be confident is truly beautiful. Loved their story
This is Sophie Blue’s first release, it’s a quick read, insta love, feel good romance. Liam is the Hero, a gym owner and a guy that cares about his clients fitness journey. But when he see’s Chloe with a deer in the headlights look on her face in his gym, he knows he has to get to know this woman.
Liam made a great Hero in this novella, he is a gentleman that still has that Alpha edge that gives you the perfect mix of heat and swooniness. Chloe is a heroine I have no doubt a lot of women will relate to. A woman who was once confident in her own skin but after one too many put downs, she has lost her way. Chloe has a wicked sense of humour, she is a huge friends fan (winner in my book) and she is relatable.
For a debut and a novella, which I always find Authors no matter how experienced can struggle to inject enough plot and substance into a shorter read, Sophie Blue achieved this wonderfully. Pacing was good, it didn’t feel too insta love wham bam thank you mam. Chloe and Liam built up and friendship and their characters held depth.
I was impressed with this new Authors first foray into the book world, and I am very curious to read the next story in the series once it’s released.
This is my first book by Sophie Blue, but it won’t be the last.
I love the chemistry between Chloe and Liam. I also like how real these characters are. Blue has written Chloe’s personality and self-confidence issues perfectly. Liam’s determination to win her over and show her she’s beautiful melted my heart.
I’m definitely waiting on the next book to be available.
I really enjoyed this book. It is a quick novella that is also a great reminder that we all deserve to feel good about ourselves and deserve someone like Liam in our corner. I found Chloe to be real, relatable, and endearing. I know I have my own set of insecurities so I get it. I thought her lack of filter and friends obsession lent a nice amount of comedy to a somewhat serious and sweet read. I also really liked that while Liam is all about Sophie realizing she is perfect for who she is he helps her find her confidence by making her do the work. Sticking to the programme and early morning runs might not have been about getting skinny but they were about getting her to make the changes she was craving when she first walked into that gym. Self-confidence is key! A low amount of steam full of heart and wit that left me feeling oddly motivated to go to the gym.
Weighting on Love is a short, sweet, swoony, feel-good novella, and even though it’s not something I normally read all that often, I really enjoyed this. I went into this not sure what to expect because it’s the author’s first book, and what I got was an insta-love/connect, a sweet as sugar love story, and two adorable characters. Chloe and Liam.
Liam is 32 and owns a gym. His world is fitness, he bleeds it and loves helping others reach their goals he was swoony and sweet, a hero that I easily fell in love with! He was drawn to Chloe from the moment he saw her and he couldn’t help but want to help her, while in the process falling for her.
Chloe was someone I could easily relate to, on a few levels. From her struggles within herself and no filter quirkiness and even though the story was short I noticed the characters’ development and growth as the story progressed. I fell in love with her the moment she was introduced.
These two were adorable and the connection was instant and what follows is a short, sweet, and fun love story that had me laughing and smiling like a goof and swooning hard over Liam.
Without giving anything away, I must say… The ending was perfect!
If you are looking for an insta-love, quick, fun, feel-good read, then this is the perfect mixture of all those things! A must-read!
5 Stars!
Loved this! Chloe is looking to make a change and a boost in her self confidence. Liam is such a sweetheart and he’s perfect for her. Walking into his gym changed both of their lives. A short and sweet novella.
