Billionaire businessman in need of a fake fiancée… go wrong as long as I can keep my hands off of him.
But that’s the hard part. And I do mean hard.
Because Grant is sexy.
And bossy.
And surprisingly sweet, a real rarity in his pretentious family.
Oops. I’m not as good at faking it as I thought. Or maybe they call this method acting. Because it’s getting harder to figure out where my character ends and I begin…
It just might be the role of a lifetime.
Weekend Wife is a standalone romantic comedy with a sexy billionaire, a sassy heroine, and a Happily Ever After.

Weekend Wife was a fun, lighthearted romp with two unsuspecting characters! As an aspiring actress/waitress and a highly successful real estate developer, neither Grant nor Leah were looking for a relationship; a hook up? Maybe. But a relationship, ain’t nobody got time for that. Leah has harbored a crush on the sexy Grant for sometime but didn’t expect it was reciprocated. He’s a squillionaire and she’s an underpaid waitress and part time actress. But when Grant proposes she use those acting skills to play his girlfriend, things quickly spin out of trouble.
These two were fun with smart ass banter and sexy chemistry. It was a quick, delightful read!

Leah is a waitress at a local resto (she’s also a part time actress), & Grant likes to come in to eat there once a week – not for the food, but for Leah. He finally decides he’s had enough of looking at her from afar, & that he won’t go back to the resto. That’s when she ends up running after him (bc he had left a huge tip) & she has an accident. He takes care of her, & that’s how the story begins.
“I’m glad we’re alone, bc you’re going to be screaming.”
“Prove it.”
….
“You forgot your pants.”
“I’m taking a shortcut, saving you the trouble.”
“That’s very thoughtful.”
….
“I need to eat my feelings.”
“What feelings are those?”
“Hunger and sexual frustration.”
“I can take care of both of those!”
Grant has his assistant send her a care package, but the care package ends up being… um… interesting. Around the same time, he finds out that his father insists he must have a gf or else possibly lose his job. Grant needs someone who could act as a great gf, so he hires Leah.
This story was like an alternate version of Pretty Woman, with a twist. <3 the ending. Worth reading!

This was hilarious and at times unreal which made it funnier. I fell in love with Grant and Leah way too fast.
Grant is a anti-commitment billionaire who is an overall likable guy. He is just upfront with any woman that he is not interested in a relationship.
Leah is working as a waitress until her next break as an actress hits. It’s not that she isn’t talented, she is beyond a doubt. This new role Grant offers is too good to be true.
This was an addictive quick and easy read. Light on the angst which I love.
I looove Erin’s characters. They are people I’d want to know and be friends with. And the romance…always steamy. Sigh.
A wonderfully entertaining read! Loved it!
Great writing for both of the main characters, Grant and Leah. She was witty and fun and really a breath of fresh air for him and the way other women always acted around him because he as a billionaire. Leah could have cared less because she was proud of how she was supporting herself (albeit barely) but she was doing it. One the each admitted their greatest fear: Grant of never feeling loved again and Leah of being a failure, they really got close fast. Because of the fake relationship they had planned for his parent’s anniversary, they had to know a lot about each other quickly. Good, and quick book as the writing kept me wanting more.
Totally enjoyed this story. I liked the people and understood their issues. They were credible. The speed of the story was a very good pacing. ok, so I did read the first few sex scenes, but they did get repetitive, so I skimmed. The roomies were awesome. His family was awesome. Go ahead, buy into the initial scenes and then have fun!
This book is so hilarious I could not stop laughing!
For six months Grant Caldwell has been eating chocolate chip pancakes at a local diner every Wednesday. What began as honoring his childhood nanny became an obsession because of a quirky singing waitress named Leah. But Grant doesn’t do relationships so for six months he has said nothing, done nothing.
Leah Romano is a New York waitress hoping for her big break as a singer actress. She’s been serving Grant Caldwell pancakes every Wednesday for months and no matter how much she flirts with him she barely gets a response. So how did she find herself pretending to be the man’s girlfriend at his family home in the Hamptons?
Grant can’t believe the feelings Leah has brought up in him or how she has brightened up his life. When he is forced to produce a girlfriend or lose everything he has built Leah is the only option. But will his crazy family accept her? And will Leah believe his feelings have gone from fake to fact?
I really enjoyed watching the relationship blossom between Leah and Grant. Felt like a dirty fairytale. Leah is this strong, independent woman that leaves you waiting for her next snarky remark. While Grant is the complete opposite of the stereotypical billionaire. If you love the fairytale aspect along with the sexy scenes, this is the book for you. Get out and get a copy, you won’t regret it.
I can so see this as a romantic comedy blockbuster. I Floved it.
This was so my kind of rom-com! Leah is an out of work actress waiting tables, living in shoe box, and trying to make it at one of her auditions. And crushing on the hottie, Grant, who has been visiting her work weekly for chocolate chip pancakes the past six months when fate steps in and they’re forced to actually interact beyond server/servee.
Little does she know, Grant has been nursing the same crush and this was meant to be his final visit.
A sprained ankle, some unforgettable afternoon delight, and an unfortunate misunderstanding by his PA, some meddling by his father, crazy relatives, and a fake not fake relationship, this book is an absolutely delightful read!!
I received a review copy. I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Pretty good
Insta love with a billionaire playboy Hero who doesn’t do relationships and a struggling actress/singer Heroine.
The hero did a 180 out of nowhere, so that wasnt believable. Especially since it happened over a 2 week period.
Laugh out loud funny, endearing characters. I couldn’t get enough of it! Loved every page
Weekend Wife is a fun contemporary romance by Erin McCarthy. Ms. McCarthy has provided readers with a well-written book. This is written in first person, alternating point of view, not my favorite but it worked in this story. The characters are spectacular, I loved them. Leah is working as a waitress when Grant started showing up at the diner once a week for breakfast. Grant and Leah’s story is packed with drama, laugh-out-loud humor and spice. I loved this book from the first page to the last and look forward to my next book by Erin McCarthy. Weekend Wife is book 1 of the Sassy in the City Series but can be read as a standalone.
I needed more. More reasons for her to lose her mind. More angst from him on the idea that he messed up. More time and better sex. Just more.

This was such a pleasant surprise!! My first Erin McCarthy book and I loved it! I loved Leah so much! She is quirky and self-assured and hilarious!! The banter was so real and refreshing. It made their chemistry believable.
I will definitely be checking out her other books!
Even though the story line has been done before, the good writing and likeable characters make this an enjoyable read.
