I started this book last night and finished it this morning. I had a hard time putting it down. I enjoyed reading this book immensely! It kept me entertained from the first to the last page!!!
Willow is working two jobs to help out her mother financially. She works as a barista, and everyday there’s Trey, sexy self made millionaire, who asks her out on a date for months . Until one day she accepts to go away for a weekend. Is it all just a weekend fling?!
Like I said, I really enjoyed reading this book. It was funny in the beginning, but also went really deep in between! Willows mother deals with depressions, and I think everybody who knows someone with depression knows how hard that can be.
Loved it, and totally recommend this book!!!
I have had a love-hate relationship with Stacey Lynn’s Crazy Love series. I loved the first book in the series. But, with the next two books, I was “meh.” Those two books didn’t impress me too much. So, when I saw that Weekend Fling was up for review on NetGalley, I decided to give it ago. I figured with two “meh” books in a row that I would like the next book. And I thought right. I enjoyed reading Weekend Fling. It was just the book I needed to read, and it reignited my interest in the series.
The plotline for Weekend Fling had an excellent flow to it. Having a good flow to the plotline makes the book so much easier to read. The pacing of the book was medium, which I enjoyed. I go back and forth on how fast I like my romances to be. Sometimes I like them slow. Other times I want them fast. And still other times, I like the medium-paced. There were no dropped storylines or characters who mysteriously disappear.
I wasn’t a fan of Willow when Weekend Fling started. She rubbed me the wrong way with the way she treated Trey. But, as I got involved in the book, I began to see why Willow treated him the way she did. She was burning the candle at both ends. Willow was resentful that her father could leave and go on with his life. She also was becoming resentful that her mother couldn’t pull herself out of her depression. I was surprised when she agreed to go away with Trey for the weekend. By that point, I started to like her. She had an inner strength that most people don’t have, how she acted in the events after the wedding showcased that perfectly.
I loved Trey. He was everything that Willow needed and then some. I loved that he wasn’t pushy. Trey let Willow set the pace of their relationship. I also loved how he was there for her, and he didn’t let her push him away during the last half of the book. There was a point in the book where I thought Trey needed to be a little more pushy with her. Almost as soon as I felt that, he took charge. Loved it!!
There are some triggers in Weekend Fling. The author touches upon mental illness and suicide during the book. The author’s note at the end of the book broke my heart. I started bawling my eyes out when reading it.
Weekend Fling can be read as a stand-alone book. It is the 4th book in the Crazy Love series. What I enjoyed is that the author was able to bring the previous characters from the previous three books into this book but keep them in the background.
Trey and Willow had insane sexual chemistry. The author chose to let it build and build throughout the book. When they finally did have sex, it was a flipping explosion. I loved it!! The sex scenes after that weren’t as hot, but they were still good.
The end of Weekend Fling was bittersweet. I thought that Willow’s father’s explanation was weak AF, but it still worked. I loved the epilogue!!!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC from NetGalley.
Willow Parks has been deserted by her boyfriend of five years and returns home to help her mother after her father left their marriage of thirty years. Willow is wearing herself out working two jobs to try to pay all the bills. While working at Java Joe’s, Willow meets Trey Kollins, a kind and wealthy man who is attracted to her. When Trey needs a date for his friends’ wedding, he offers Willow a chance to spend the weekend in San Diego. Will this weekend give Willow the chance to regroup and face the problems at home? Although this story has a lot of humorous interaction between the characters (especially Trey’s mother and father – lol), the author touches on the struggle Willow’s mother has in accepting the end of her marriage. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation for an honest review. (by paytonpuppy)
Stacey Lynn is a new to me author and I fell in love just after starting to read this book. I am definitely going back to read more of hers now! That being said, I LOVED Weekend Fling. By the title I guessed it was just going to be a fun, light hearted romance, but boy was I wrong. There is some depth and emotion to this story that really hit me.
I loved Willow. She was hard working, I mean the woman works two jobs to help take care of her moth despite struggling with her own heartbreak. Not only is she hardworking though, she had some sass to her and she is a strong character. Trey Kollins. Hello, book boyfriend material! He may be a rich, but he doesn’t have that arrogance to him. He is all about his family and his friends and his business. He has a sweet side a mile long and will do anything in his power to help those he cares about.
Willow and Trey had so much chemistry. Seriously, I thought my kindle would burst into flames with all the tension between the two of them, but once they finally give in. Grab a fan, you will need it! I loved their story and their relationship and that Trey was willing to prove that he was so much more.
Don’t go into this expected a light hearted romance, because there are so many emotions in it and some tough subjects mention. I loved that Stacey Lynn didn’t just gloss over those like they meant nothing. She did an amazing job at capturing the feelings and emotions behind everyone involved.
This book is a MUST READ from me!
Weekend Fling by Stacey Lynn is book 4 in the Crazy Love Series. This is the story of Trey Collins and Willow Parks. I felt this was a standalone book.
Willow is newly single working two jobs and trying to help her mother who was left in a bad situation too. So when there was a chance for weekend vacation break from Trey who is a persistent customer who she is totally attracted too…it something she can’t turn away from. Trey knew that there was something different about Willow and I am glad he kept trying to have more with her. Willow had to step up to help her mom which to me meant a lot and she should have a happy ending.
Loved their story.
Can a Weekend Fling lead to love everlasting?
This is the fourth and sadly last book in the ‘Crazy Love’ series by Stacey Lynn. Stacey is one of my to-go author’s, I never fail to get a fantastic story from her talented hands and Weekend Fling kept up the tradition. It was fun, fast read, but with some serious moments too, depicting as it did, the more realistic aspects of life with Willow’s mom’s problems. But, that aside, Trey and Willow were a great couple with plenty of sexy banter and some steamy times. Their friends were fun too, and Trey’s parents were crazy funny.
But, of course, there was some angst too that led to Willow pushing Trey away, but he wasn’t having any of it. He’s a hot, sexy nerdy guy with a heart of gold, just ask his friends. It was good catching up with characters from the previous books as well. Caitlin’s wedding was a sweet treat. But, now it’s all over and I’m so sad.
4.5 stars
Oh man, my heart breaks for Willow through this whole story. That woman has the weight of the world on her shoulders. So much so that she doesn’t know how to trust when people are sincere in offering her help. Trey isn’t the nicest guy on the planet and wants to climb Willow’s walls to help her break them down, but she doesn’t believe she would be what a guy such as him would want or want to help.
Of course, as with the other books in this series, Trey and Willow have great chemistry. Thankfully, Willow eventually gives into that chemistry. In fact, the build up to the pair connecting is very sweet and sexy I loved those “almost” scenes.
Willow sometimes confuses me with they way she’ll push Trey away, but seem upset that he actually went away. On an intellectual level, I understand where she’s coming from because of her past issues. But, because I love Trey to pieces, I would get upset with Willow. Fortunately for her, Trey seems to understand to a certain extent and doesn’t let her push him away.
Trust me, it is worth the minute or two it will take for you to read the dedication in this book. It is really touching. I’m glad the author found a way to turn tragedy into something that may help others. While I love the romance aspect of this story, the story of Willow’s family really touched me. I got mad at her mom, hated her dad, and didn’t understand either of them. I rooted for Willow and appreciated that she struggled with how to deal with all of her issues because that is much more realistic than her being confident and sure she’s doing the right thing when it comes to her parents.
Once again, Stacey Lynn hits a home run and kept me riveted to my Kindle.

5 Stars
A light hearted and sexy love story combined with serious real life struggles makes this story one that will tug at your heart and make you laugh as well. Willow is a woman we all have known, or maybe even been at some point in our lives. As life seems to keep holding her back and dragging her down, she cannot deny the gorgeous man that repeatedly shows interest in her, is a temptation she may just need for a weekend. What follows is a sweet and sexy trip that will make you laugh, smile and maybe need to turn up your A/C. When reality comes crashing in though, your heart will ache for Willow and all she is going through. Kudos to Stacey Lynn, for writing an amazingly flawed and beautiful character, and storyline, that runs parallel to this flirtatious love story.

Ok I’m not sure what I’m feeling right now. I could identify with Willow on so many counts that it was scary. My heart was breaking with how much life was beating her down and I loved Trey for trying his hardest to make her life a bit easier. The banter at times made me cry ugly tears but mostly it had me smiling especial when he was willing to do just about anything to help her and to keep her in his life.
Truly beautiful story about how much one can take before it gets ( HOPEFULLY) better.

This book was fun and steamy! The connection between Willow and Trey was undeniable. Trey and Willow cross paths and he wants to know more about her, so he starts asking her out. Willow has a lot going on her life and is struggling with it all, so she keeps turning him down. He even asks her to his best friend’s wedding out of town. Surprising them both she says yes. The connection between the two characters is undeniable. The book travels the whole spectrum of emotion. It handled a serious topic well in the middle of a fun romance read. I laughed, cried and was thrilled with the HEA ending. I received an advance copy from NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
A beautiful story that deals with real life issues. The author has written a story about a man, Trey, who is honorable and not afraid to show his feelings. He finds the woman he wants to be with and pursues her in a caring and safe way. Willow has been hurt by her ex and her dad. She has a lot of pressure taking care of her mom and doesn’t want to start a new relationship. The reader will enjoy the smart, witty and funny conversations between the characters. It is a story that highlights family, friendships and love. These two make a beautiful couple who are surrounded by wonderful and loyal friends.
I love Stacey Lynn’s books and have enjoyed the other books in this series so I hate to do this this. I give this book 3.5 stars…..
I loved the content of this book. And the topic of depression that is talked about in this story. As many people have either gone through it or have known/know someone who has. It used to be such a hush hush topic. Something people were so ashamed of. And now I think it should be talked about and not hidden. That way people won’t feel so alone and isolated.
I really loved Trey’s character. He was charming. sweet, charismatic, sexy and he never gave up. I know Willow had a lot going on in her life but at times I felt a disconnect with her. There were times in the story I really enjoyed it. But then there were parts where I thought we were missing something in the story and parts where I thought we could have done without.
I have really enjoyed this series. And I really enjoy Lynn’s books. I guess this book just wasn’t for me. Looking forward to what comes next.
Such a well written book filled with real problems. I loved the flirtation, emotional baggage and pacing. Sometimes having a character with loads of money can make for an unrealistic story. This was not the case in Weekend Fling. It was raw, real and romantic. I absolutely loved the gentle pushes and a subtle displays of support. Friends are there for a shoulder and this was such an enjoyable book.
Willow and Trey have some serious chemistry, but her life is overly complicated by her parents’ split and she’s overwhelmed with taking care of her out-of-touch mother. Trey’s suggestion of a weekend getaway for his best friend’s wedding is just the break she needs, and gives their slow-burn attraction a chance to ignite.
The story was well-developed with terrific characters, and the part of the book set in San Diego was a lot of fun, and perfectly written. For me, however, having more than passing familiarity with her mother’s obvious yet unnamed diagnosis refocused my thoughts on all that was wrong with the author’s depiction of that situation and pulled me from the heart of the romance and Willow’s reconciliation with Trey. Ultimately, though, Willow and Trey do find their HEA while the most inexplicable character was barely addressed in the epilogue.
Strictly as a romance, this book is exactly what you’d expect, and very well done at that. The only distraction for me was the mishandling of the parents’ relationship and how it was used as an impediment to the focus romance. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
This is a quickly developed romance between Trey, a multimillionaire who is attracted to Willow, a coffee barista/editor with family drama. Trey finally convinces Willow to go to a friends wedding with him for the weekend, and that’s where things get hot and steamy. This is a story that deals with a couple health challenges, and I love that about this book, you don’t realize how close the author is to the subject matter until the acknowledgements at the end of the book, and your heart breaks for her. Loved Trey’s parents and close friends, You can definitely feel the struggle Willow is going through with her mom and dad, but you’ve gotta love a man that sticks by your side, even though the vibes you’re throwing off to him are not warm and fuzzy. A couple of slow spots in the book, but overall I really enjoyed the book.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book.
Weekend Fling by Stacey Lynn is the fourth book in the Crazy Love series and can be read as a stand-alone. It tells the story of Willow who has had a rough go lately. Her boyfriend of 5 years broke up with her and her father recently left her mother. Her mother has been struggling emotionally and hasn’t been able to return to work, so Willow is working two jobs to attempt to keep her afloat.
Trey is a self-made millionaire who has been asking Willow out for weeks and is quite persistent, even when she continually says, “no.”
Trey invites Willow to San Diego for a weekend wedding and the chemistry is off the charts. As feelings begin to develop, Willow distances herself to deal with family issues. Trey never backs down and is always there to support Willow even when she continually pushes him away. Will these two find their happily ever after? This is a great addition to the series and I look forward to Ms. Lynn’s next release.
Willow Parks’ proverbial plate is overflowing, her days are spent working two jobs, caring for her ailing mother, and trying to squeeze a few spare minutes in to go to the gym for some “me time.” She is also just coming out of a long term relationship and her heart is still weathering the effects of the break-up, so needless to say she does not have time for anything else… and that includes a sexy tech mogul named Trey.
Everyday he comes into the coffee shop, they share a few flirty glances, small conversation, and then he goes his way… not before trying to convince her to go on a date though. She has told him no several times, but this time he makes her a deal she can’t really refuse, a much needed weekend away. She just has to agree to be his date for the weekend while they attend his friend’s wedding… seems innocent enough! That is until he turns the charm on..
The pages of Weekend Fling come brimming with heartfelt emotion, family drama, sweet romance, and steamy exchanges…the perfect makings for a satisfying literary escape! I thoroughly enjoyed watching the romance unfold between these two, Willow had her doubts about giving love a second chance, uncertain that her heart could handle another heartbreak. But Trey wasn’t anything like the man that came before him, his sweet demeanor and caring nature made it easy for her to fall for him. This was a wonderful addition to the series, the characters were amazing and the words were enthralling! Highly recommend!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.
Weekend Fling is sweet and sexy. I love how Trey is just a little awkward when it comes to Willow. His family and friends will just make you smile and laugh out loud. Trey is an amazing guy with a big heart and knows what he wants. He isn’t afraid to step back either. He is the kind of guy you want by your side. Willow is so strong. I love how she stands up for her mom and herself. You will love her strength and just see how sweet she is. Willow is just amazing and I love her with Trey. The chemistry is hot and you will love what they bring to the pages. You need to fall in love with Trey and Willow today. I just love this book.
Another 5 star story by this amazing author. I read it in one single evening, it’s that entertaining.
Trey has been relentless in his pursuit to get a date with Willow. When she finally agrees to go to his best friends wedding, they can’t seem to keep their hands away from each other.
It’s an insta romance that happens in a weekend. It was to the point and very addicting. I loved these amazing characters. Trey has been in the previous stories. It was an heartwarming and heartfelt story. There were some time that my heart would break for Willow. She had a lot to deal with. Beautifully written with a seamless plot. A must read.
Rest assured this story can be read as a standalone. Told in a dual POV with an HEA. I strongly recommend this story.
