It’s just supposed to be a weekend fling. . . . “Stacey Lynn always knows how to perfectly balance sexy and sweet.”—New York Times bestselling author Lauren Layne Fresh out of a long-term relationship, Willow Parks is working two jobs and caring for her mother, whose husband left her with nothing but a pile of bills. Such a heartwarming and heart wrenching story all in one!! Loved Trey and his constant support! Weekend Fling will fill your heart to the brim!!
This was a good read! The writing flowed well from start to finish. I loved Trey and Willow together, they had great chemistry. Trey was a good man. I liked that stutter made him a little more human, with all the hotness going on 🙂 I liked Willow for the most part, but when the crap hit the fan she pulled away from Trey, and he was only trying to help. When he does honor her wishes, her inner thoughts were “guess he didn’t really mean it”. Really?! You told him to leave. I did get annoyed at her over that. I was glad to see that she didn’t try to push everything under the rug and act like nothing had happened with her mom. It was nice to see that story line go the way it did. The ending for Trey and Willow was perfect! I love a good HEA.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.
Weekend Fling was a great addition to the Crazy Love Series, it can be read as a standalone if you haven’t read any of the other books in this series but be warned the couples from the previous three books do make appearances in this one and you may want to read their Crazy Love stories first but that is totally up to you.
Willow is having a hard time right now, she has recently broken up with her boyfriend of five years and moved back in with her mother after her father left, she is caring for her mom while holding down two jobs to support them, the last thing on Willow’s mind is men.
Trey, oh Trey, I got to know him quite a bit in previous books and I have to say I really, really like him. He is what I would call a quite giant, he is over 6′ of yummyness and a bit nerdy. He gets lost in his work and needs to be reminded to eat and shower which to me is endearing. But when Trey sees Willow for the first time in the coffee shop he is pulled to her.
Trey needs a date for one of his best friends wedding and he wants to take Willow, Willow doesn’t agree so easily but she does go away with him. The sparks fly whenever they are together so it’s no surprise that this was a steamy read. However, this book was a little heavier than the other books in the series but definitely not as heavy as Stacey Lynn’s Fireside series.
This is an easy book to recommend to anyone that is looking for a good steamy read that can be read in an afternoon or two.
Happy Reading!!!
Willow is focused on taking care of her mom. Working two jobs, she doesn’t have time to go out on a date with the hottie that keeps coming into the coffee shop she works at, no matter how many times he asks her out. But when he throws an opportunity for a weekend away, can she go and just let go for a few days?
What a beautifully fun book! Trey and Willow’s journey was such a fantastic story! Trey’s amazing heart will make you swoon…HARD!! I loved every stunning word of this story! This book will make you feel all sorts of emotions, but it will fill your heart for certain! 5 easy stars!
Pleasantly surprised reading this book. Trey Kollins is a multi-millionaire. He is down to earth and has a stutter around people he is not close to. For several months he has enjoyed going to Java Coffee to see the most beautiful woman in the world to him. Molly Parks is working two jobs just trying to keep the bills paid and her mother on an even keel. She was just got out of a 5 year relationship and not interested in dating. Trey offered Molly the chance to go away for the weekend, no strings attached. It was more than a weekend, it was the wedding of one of his best friend’s. You will love Caitling and Corbin. They found out Molly has no problem saying no to Trey and not impressed with his money. You will also love Trey’s parents. They had me cracking up. A phone call brings is all crashing down. Molly re-affirms her commitment to her mother at Trey’s expense. He is a patient man. He knew she was the one. I loved the ending!.
Weekend Fling is another winner from author Stacey Lynn. In fact, the entire Crazy Love series should not be missed! This is a terrific story, with well-defined characters and a fast-paced plot. I could not get enough of this engaging romance.
Willow Parks is a barista and freelance editor. She is working two jobs in order to take care of herself and her mentally ill mom. Due to a failed relationship with a man who did not appreciate her, and her father’s quick exit from both her and mother’s lives, Willow has no desire to find a soulmate. She is exhausted from working and worrying about her mom. Luckily, billionaire and coffee house customer Trey Collins never gives up on asking Willow out. He needs a date for his best friend’s wedding in San Diego, and Willow needs a break from life. So a weekend fling it is.
Together, Willow and Trey are an attractive couple. Willow is quite weary of Trey’s interest in her, but she likes him well enough to get to know him better. Trey has been interested in Willow for months, and never gave up pursuing her after being turned down time after time. Their time together is replete with fun, flirtatiousness and amazing sex. Unfortunately, their weekend comes to an abrupt halt when Willow’s mom is hospitalized. Willow’s emotional baggage prevents her from accepting Trey’s help and support for a while. Luckily and overtime, Trey is able to break down her barriers and give her the love she so desperately deserves.
I totally enjoyed this book. It is a bit emotional at times and Ms. Lynn’s meaningful words brought tears to my eyes. Trey is an amazing character. His warmth, persistence, and sexiness is every woman’s dream. Trey’s friends were entertaining and fun, while his parents were hilarious. Due to great writing, Willow’s ups and down were tangible. This is the fourth book in the series and it can be read as a standalone.

Ruthie –
This is the fourth book in an interlinked series. All the main characters appear across the books, but each could be read alone in my opinion. In this installment we get to enjoy the wedding of Caitlin and Jonas, whose story features in 28 Dates.
Trey needs a date for the wedding and finally manages to persuade Willow at his favourite coffee shop to go with him. He has been trying for ages as he finds her irresistible, but sadly she has been reluctant until now. We soon discover why, as she is dealing with her troubled mother and associated money issues.
The romance is a sweet one, but I did find there was a lot of inner voice to get the information across and sometimes it was, for me, overly descriptive. As we get to learn the story from both sides, it would have been easy for them to have conversations about a lot of the stuff we are told, and that maybe would have engaged me more in the moment. When the real drama does happen, I was just confused as to why Willow was so surprised at her mother’s state. That said, it was indicative of her inability to communicate well, as she could have learned much from her father if she had been in contact with him earlier. I did think that the issue of mental illness was by the end dealt with with care.

I enjoyed this fast-paced sexy and emotional romance from the first page until I read the last word that kept me on an emotional roller coaster and unable to put the book down. I really liked the engaging characters especially the attraction and undeniable chemistry between Trey Kollins, irresistible tech mogul millionaire and Willow Parks, barista and free lance editor. If you enjoy well-crafted contemporary romance that beautifully addresses mental health and depression, don’t miss “Weekend Fling” by gifted author Stacey Lynn. I received an advance reader copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving my review.
This was the first book that I have read from this author and it is book 4 in the series but could be read as a standalone. It was a good and quick read. Their story will keep you wanting more. Trey and Willow were so good together and their chemistry was just as good. I need to go back through her backlist so I can read more of this series.
I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
I fell in love with this hodgepodge series. Willow and Trey story is not different. The pursuit was without fail. Trey was on a mission in which he accomplished and then some. I enjoyed his openness and his desire to be the tortoise. Slow and steady winning the race. Cocky but thoughtful. Willow defenses regardless of what her reality and conscious valid points were, had no chance.
Stacey made this real but romantic. Ensured the smokes and mirrors were cleared and love shined through. It broke my heart but as they say, “only the strong survive and you are not given more than you can handle.” Friendship and space is always a plus.
Oh how I hate to say goodbye to this group of friends! I loved this entire series so much — getting to know everyone, their traits and personalities and how they all interacted with each other. This series had everything I look for in romantic comedies — sexy, sweet men and strong, feisty women who make them even better men if that’s possible. I loved Trey’s patience and perseverance with Willow’s issues, but I also loved his dominance and self assurance as well. He wasn’t arrogant about it; just confident and that made him even sexier. The topic of mental illness is touched upon in a very understanding and emotional way so as to not overshadow the main plot — very nicely done. I hope this author has more in store for us in this genre because I think she did a great job with this series! I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC for NetGalley.
Another fantastic story by the wonderful Stacey Lynn. This is the fourth installment in her Crazy Love series and in this book we finally get the story of Trey. I absolutely love the character of Trey. He deserved to get his own book. It’s probably a good idea to have read the other books in the series before reading this one because the characters from past books make an appearance, which I loved. Trey finds himself interested in a waitress from the coffee shop he goes to named Willow. Willow has had an easy go of it, which is why she keeps turning Trey down. Trey coming into her life is the best thing to happen to her in a long time. Her boyfriend of five years dumped her and her dad left her mom, which leads her to stop caring about life. Willow has to pick up two jobs to pick up the bills. Willow finally gives in and goes away with Trey for a weekend getaway. They end up falling for each other in a beautiful way. Also, she fits in well with Trey’s friends. This story has a lot of depth and the characters were well-written. I can’t recommend this book enough! Excellent read!
“I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.”
Trey was the multimillionaire that had a thing for Willow the coffee shop worker who frowned upon his constant flirting. Trey was persistent and wouldn’t give up. He finally wore her down to be his date at his best friends wedding. Willow needed a break from her everyday stressful life and went along with it. She was trying to stay away from relationships but Trey was making it very difficult. Willow caved but was still very hesitant and Trey made sure she didn’t fight her battles alone anymore. He was there for her in every way possible. Willow was a strong woman but needed someone like Trey to help her live life to the fullest.
Weekend Fling is Book 4 in the Crazy Love series and focuses on Willow, who is working many jobs trying to make ends meet and helping to take care of her mom who is not doing so well following her dad leaving them, and she was also recently dumped herself. Trey is a rich bigwig who frequents the coffee shop Willow works at and is enamored with her from the start, but she repeatedly turns down his offers to take her out. Willow decides she finally needs to have some fun and gives in to Trey’s invitation to attend his best friend’s wedding, which sets into a motion a wide array of emotions, scenarios and events that uphends Willow’s life just a little bit more.
I really enjoyed both Willow and Trey as the main characters. I think Willow worked really hard to be strong and independent and cared very much for her mother. I liked that while Trey was wealthy, he also seemed somewhat down to earth and that he seemed genuinely interested in Willow, and when her life got really complicated, he showed up. I also really enjoyed the secondary characters who were main characters in the other books in the series. This really is a great group of friends.
While the title of the book, Weekend Fling, may imply fun and and flirty, this book and the author also delve into some very real and very serious issues related to mental health, and I think the author did a nice job of balancing the seriousness of those issues with the fun and romantic aspects of the book. I found this book to be very enjoyable and would definitely recommend it.
This one was just a great escape romance and worth the afternoon it took to read it. Willow has a full plate with two jobs and a mother who needs taking care of and she escapes to the gym for a few minutes of me time. One of her jobs at the coffee house is where she meets Trey, a tech mogul who flirts and consistently asks her out but she refuses. That is until he finally proposes a weekend trip for his friend’s wedding because he needs a date. Oh, this was just plain fun even with life breaking in. Trey is patient and determined to win her over. Even if you have not read the rest of the series you should not be lost even with the previous characters involved in this one, though I do recommend the entire series.
I have been dying for Trey’s story since reading 28 Dates. This series has been fun and light but Trey’s book is quite a bit heavier than all the books before it.
I loved all of the emotion and Trey is my favorite of the series. I did want more of Trey and Willow and felt like the end was kind of abrupt. Overall, I enjoyed their story and this series a lot.
Willow has the weight of the world on her shoulders. Between moving back home to take care of her mom & working multiple jobs to keep them afloat, she can’t figure out why rich & gorgeous Trey is interested in her. When he needs a date to his best friend’s wedding, Willow accepts his offer, needing a break from her everyday struggles. Sparks fly and for the first time in a while Willow is happy, until the real world abruptly comes crashing down, reminding her that she and Trey are from worlds apart. Willow pushes Trey away, but will he grant her wishes or will he fight for her?
I love how Trey acted all smooth & cocky but deep down was nervous whenever he was around Willow. It showed he’s human & not perfect. Willow needed to believe that even though she had a lot going on in her life it’s okay to accept help & even open up to the possibility of love. Trey was patient & let Willow figure things out for herself. This was another great read from this author & I’m looking forward to reading more!
Poor girl meets rich guy and they live happily ever after. End. Well, it’s not THAT simple though. She doesn’t want to like him and he’s a little hesitant to push things too quickly. Until he needs a date and she says no. And since she has no reason to say no, her BFF convinces her to go for the fun. And life happens and it ruins the weekend. And HEA does come . . . eventually! Loved it for all the ups and downs!
I received an ARC from NetGalley for an honest and unbiased review.
Weekend Fling is a terrific mix of sweet, funny, angsty, and well, it’s just plain good! Trey and Willow are so good together that it’s impossible not to root for them. Willow has more than her fair share of problems to deal with, and Trey is one of those good guys who is genuinely just that, a good guy. He’s also got just the right amount of stubborn to keep going after what he wants. The story does have its emotional moments and not just with the romance. It touches on a hard topic for many to discuss, and the author handled it very well while still keeping this couple and their love story at the forefront. This newest addition to Stacey Lynn’s A Crazy Love series does stand on its own while still giving readers a chance to catch up with some past favorites. That said, this couple is my favorite in the series. The story is well-written, the romance is sexy and sweet, and the characters are engaging and thoroughly lovable.
Taking a chance on love:
Another enjoyable read by Stacey Lynn. This is a steamy romance yet I appreciated that it also had substance and was not just a light and frivolous read. It deals with some difficult issues surrounding mental health but it was done in a sensitive and respectful way. However I did think Willow would not have been quite so clueless about her mother’s condition. Willow is rather vulnerable after suffering abandonment and hurt in the past and is reluctant to open her heart up to love again. Trey is dreamy and it was lovely to see how he persisted and supported Willow. There were highs and lows throughout the book and it was a real emotional roller coaster at times. You could feel the chemistry and the emotional connection between the characters felt authentic. Overall a lovely read.
