No strings attached.
It’s not what I really want, but it’s all he has to offer. He’s filled with turmoil and heartache and regrets, but for two hours every Wednesday all he feels is me. How much I desire him, how desperate he makes me, how much I’d like things to be different between us. Real.
He used to be my best friend back before he got married. And now? Now, he’s a young widower. It would … Now, he’s a young widower. It would be wrong on so many levels to expect something more from him, so I give him what he needs.
But I know I can’t keep this up. I’ve already given him my body, my soul. I want him to have my heart. It might drive him away forever, but that’s a risk I’m willing to take.
Wednesday is an angsty stand-alone told from dual points of view. If you’re in the mood for something quick and dirty, you’ve found it. Proceed at your own risk.

Wednesday made me feel a lot of different things. Sadness, for Shaw and his grief, for Chloe and her despair; anger, at Shaw for treating Chloe like s–t, at Chloe for letting Shaw treat her like that; understanding, of both Shaw and Chloe for their behavior and their feelings; and finally happiness for their happiness! Although short, Wednesday packed a lot of stuff into it. Heat, sadness, anger, despair, lust, and finally love. Thank you, Kendall, for this great story!
I also really liked the 2nd book included with Wednesday, Lessons With the Dom, Book 1. It too was short, but really hot and surprisingly emotional. I was expecting the typical 50 Shades crap (don’t even get me started on how much I hate that book and its characters!), but this was nothing like that, thank God!! I loved how Hale and Brie came together, and explored her budding self confidence, both in and out of bed. I think Hale might be one of my favorite book bf’s. He was sweet, smart, dominant, and soooo hot. And Brie, wow, she was awesome, especially by the end when she had grown into her self confidence and demanded she be treated with the respect and love she deserved.
This book took me by surprise. It is haunting, a young widower comes back in contact with his former best friend, who happens to be a woman.
The first time they see each other it was on a Wednesday, that is how the book evolves.
This is a must read, not a typical Kendall Ryan book, but , oh so good. Not exactly a tear jerker, but it will pull your heart.
Chloe and Shaw have been best friends all their lives. Shaw wife dies and in his grief he needs Chloe in a new way. Every Wednesday he goes to Chloe for sex. Can there be any more fir them? Great characters and storyline. Recommended
Wednesday by Kendall Ryan was a great, steamy read like all her others. I loved the characters. Chloe and Shaw have been best friends for just about their entire lives. Once Shaw got married, his wife Samantha never liked he was so close with Chloe so he tried to back away a bit. When Samantha does tragically, Chloe was always right there worrying about him and being there for him….in any way possible.
Chloe and Shaw together were hot!!!! What happens when Chloe feels like he’s just using her for some Wednesday night pleasure. With their friendship of so many years be ruined or will they both smarten up and take their friendship to the next level?
Wednesday is my new favorite day of the week!! No doubt about it Shaw is a complete douchebag and treats Chloe like crap, taking advantage of her. Chloe needs to figure out how much she can take & how far she’s willing to go for a man that she has loved her entire life. I loved how Shaw & Chloe’s story unfolded and the realizations they both came to. Another great book by Kendall!!
I loved everything about this book. It’s a wonderful, short and sexy read that packs a big punch. It is meant to be a quick read but that did not stop Kendall from delivering her “A Game” with this one.
He’s filled with turmoil and heartache and regrets, but for two hours every Wednesday all he feels is me.
This couple was unique. Shaw was grieving just enough to show you he had a heart but not to much that he was broken. Chloe was strong and not someone who was being walked all over. They were well developed characters and I loved rooting for them. They had smoking hot chemistry and I just wanted more of them.
“My drug of choice was my best friend, naked and writhing beneath me. Did that make me a monster? Maybe.”
Kendall truly knows how deliver hot and steamy and with a story line you just can’t get enough of. It’s always a perfect balance and one heck of a page turner. I couldn’t love her books anymore if I tried.
Wednesday, as seen on social media these days, is called Hump Day.. In this book, Wednesday is literally the Hump Day between Chloe and Shaw, and boy what a day this has always been!
Shaw’s wife, Samantha died on a Wednesday, and the day of her funeral, Shaw released his pent-up emotions. How? By using his best friend Chloe to forget about everything. For 8 months, every Wednesday, Shaw would go to Chloe’s apartment and he became the dirtiest, filthiest, steamiest version of himself around her.
For 8 blissful months, Chloe just accepted it all and let her emotions be carried away. She knew nothing good could ever come up with her union with her best friend, but she proceeded with their tryst blindly. Until she decided to stop meeting him one Wednesday.
This has been a shockingly sweet, sexy, saucy and steamy short story about a broken man and his struggles with his emotions. A story about a woman who clung to her emotions hoping her best friend would finally open his heart for him. A story so complicated and convoluted, you would want to curse Shaw for his decisions and attitude with Chloe. A story that’s cutthroat and intense, the reader is left breathless and speechless in the end.
I have always loved Kendall Ryan’s writing and her books. She always writes with fervor and intensity. Her sexy scenes are always hot and blazing. Wednesday may be such a short read, but it was packed with action smoldering hotness! Whew!!
OK but not great
Loved this series! Will continue to read this author.
The book was a quick, ok read.
Fun read
This was a straight forward romance story told well enough to keep my interest. The characters were believable and I ended up liking all of them.
I was waiting to see why he was taking so long to figure out who he really loved.
Incredible
A good story with very believable characters. I wouldn’t call the sex steamy.
Enjoyed this well written realistic story and characters
I could not wait for the Wed nights to get here.
Couldn’t put it down
Sad when it was over.
Awful. Don’t waste time.
