It’s time for Zoey and Steve to finally tie the knot. But when their wedding planner gets whacked, their plans are totally derailed.More description coming soon.
This series is so fun and this time we have weddings. Hope wants the best of the best and the caterer seals their fate when they take the deposit for the event. Now Zoey and Steve just want a regular wedding, find the bad guy …and stick to the schedule. Why is life at Sunnyside so complicated?
As always Author Lester brings fun and mayhem to characters of all ages to include readers of all ages.
Though this can be read as a stand-alone, you will think it is “cute.” but read as part of the Sunnyside Community you’ll it rounds out the story all in progress laid out in 1 thru 6.

This review is for the audio book.
I loved this book but then again I have enjoyed all the books in the series so far so it wasn’t that big a surprise. The only surprise is how the author can keep coming up with such fun and magical stories that make you chuckle. Each book is a standalone but I would highly recommend that you just work your way through the whole series and get to know everybody. This is one of my favourite series because they are such wonderful, unique characters and the stories are non stop entertainment. I love all the different personalities and the powers the residents posses, it makes for some highly amusing situations, especially when genies, ex demons and fairies get involved in solving the crime. The mystery was good and had plenty of suspects, as well as drama. Like the residents I hope Zoe and Steve don’t have any plans to leave Sunnyside because I want more adventures with the gang.
With the double wedding fast approaching Zoe and her best friend Hope are deciding on the caterer when the head chief is stabbed with an athame last seen being held by Hope. Her fiancee is taken off the case and she is arrested for the murder. Zoe knows her friend isn’t responsible but can she find the real killer? At the same time she is need back at the retirement home were the fairy receptionist magical powers is going haywire and could turn deadly, someone has let off a glitter bomb and it is everywhere but more importantly one of the residents is being forced to leave the home. Zoe will need help from everybody if she is going to get her friend out of jail and save the wedding.
I liked the narrator. She is a could choice for the narrator because she does such a good job with all the different voices needed to make this so entertaining.

I Do Murder
Since the start of the current global crisis, my reading tastes have changed. While I used to read broadly across all fiction genres, I’ve limited myself in the last couple of months to happy books or ones that are likely to make me smile or laugh. In short, I have stopped reading mysteries, thrillers, and most fantasy in favor of feel-good books. I make an exception for this author, however, because this series has simply been a joy to read from the very beginning; I have loved every installment. The author has perfected the way of writing a deliciously delightful paranormal cozy mystery. This book, like the others in the series, has all elements of that subgenre of mystery that I love: the paranormal elements, the quirky secondary characters, a microcosm of a world (in this case, a retirement community for paranormals… different from the typical cozy mystery microcosm of a small town), humor, and of course, murder! This book has at its heart the double wedding of the series’ protagonist and her bestie, Hope. But, of course, it has to have that murder—of the wedding caterer no less!—and one bride is a suspect. A wonderful book that can be read as a stand-alone but is better read after the others in the series to help set up the context. The other books are outstanding as well and are worth the read. Highly recommended book, series, and author.
I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.

I have been following this cozy series for awhile and I just love it!
This installment can actually be read as a stand alone and it’s a fun way to try the series. However, I highly suggest you read them in order, just to get the full enjoyment of the fun characters and world-building of Sunnyside.
This fun little gem is still in Sunnyside but this time we have two weddings and a murder! Let the high jinx begin.
Hope is left planning both weddings while Zoey and Steve are trying to find the killer.
Really fun series and of course as a cozy it’s a quick and enjoyable read with endearing characters.

How can you not love the characters in this series.
The magical residents of the retirement home are wacky but wonderful, and very endearing. They are Zoey’s extended family, and they will do anything for each other and Zoey. Even help her find a murderer and clear her best friend. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review

Well, so much for a fancy wedding. Not when there is a murder at the venue being looked at by Hope and Zoey. So much is happening in Zoey’s life right now. Which is the most important? How can she pick which crisis to deal with first?
Really great book. I loved the multiple chaos going on. Fantastic characters, too!

Hope and Zoey are planning their double wedding, but just before the event, the caterer is found stabbed to death. The athame belongs to Hope so she is the prime suspect. Zoey, as well as corralling the Sunnyside Retired Witches, is now needing everyones help in finding out who really did it. Loved the quirky characters and the wonderful storyline. Had me guessing until the very end. Can not wait until the next book.

Weddings are hard enough to plan without dead bodies. Now the nuptials will be put of (perhaps permanent) hold unless our heroine can solve the case, and fast.
This is book seven of the series, but it works fine as a standalone. There are some references to past events and it will take a bit to catch up on all the relationships, but the essentials are laid out early on.
This is a cozy witch mystery with all that that implies. The story is well written and easy to read with a well developed setting and a zany cast. I really have developed a fondness for this genre because I love the blend of mystery, magic and mayhem. And while this wedding has plenty of drama, it also has humor to boot. All of this combines to make for a very delightful read. Overall, I had a lot of fun with this one and I look forward to reading more in the series.
Highly recommended.

It’s time for the wedding. I’m just as excited as if it was my wedding. It appears that Zoey’s interpersonal relationships have all changed for the better. This book was filled with more action from the residents than we have read before. This book is a joy to be read by all readers.

It is no surprise to anyone who knows me that I love this series, so it should be no surprise that I loved this addition to the larger story. This can be read as a standalone, but I highly suggest you read them in order, just to get full enjoyment.
We are once again back in Sunnyside but this time the shenanigans are in top form. Not only is there a wedding, or two I should say, but there is the enthusiastic residents of the Sunnyside Retired Witches Community and a murder, because we cannot have an important life moment without a murder, LOL. Hope bless her heart it planning the double wedding throughout all the chaos, while Zoey and Steve are doing double duty controlling (the uncontrollable) residents and finding the perpetrator.
As with all the other stories in this series, there is chaos, humor, angst, and a mystery that is all tied together perfectly. I loved the balance in the story, and I loved how it all the chaos becomes a beautifully written story. Once again, a hit in my book.

I can’t get enough of Sunnyside! Zoey and Steve are busy working and keeping the residents out of trouble while Hope is doing all the planning for their double wedding. While at the reception venue the caterer is found murdered with Hope’s athame. Zoey and Luke work together to find the killer and get Hope out of jail. A great read. I love the residents and I can’t wait for the next book! Best enjoyed if other books in the series have been read.
